Your a bloody legend chief
I’ve met Paul Harragon, he’s so lovely! He was shopping at Big W with his wife Pam on the Sunny Coast back in 2022 where I work. I even got a photo with him
He gets a spot in the back row alongside Paul Sironen in my all-time greatest ever NSW State of Origin team. One of the most fiercely passionate forwards to ever don the Newcastle Knights, Country Origin, and NSW Origin jersey. Well done, Chief, you've been a huge inspiration.👏🏽
Very few athletes remain the face of their sponsor 25 years after they retire
He was an absouloute bloody legend loved watching him play
A great man
The Chief is a True Legend
The three toughest Paul harragon mark caroll and Ian Robert’s
Loved watching the Chief and all the lads back in that era: when Men played and sorted out the on field niggle. Today’s era has great footy but not the characters of the past.
Got his shorts and socks from the game at Adelaide Oval v St George, my lad was the ball boy and Chief gifted them to him
1995 was the year. Chris Joynt scored on debut for the knights.
I was the local league liaison officer, and was lucky to spend time with the team, also witness to the great egg and lettuce sandwich in the face , from Mal Reilly, the bus was parked next to a car and Mal was discarding unwanted sandwiches back handed and hit a women smack in the face as she was getting to her car@@Knightvision1981
Cast a shadow out or respect and inspiration. Nothing better than your peers (own team and opposition) recognising that you were a special player. The other MOST important thing. Have you ever seen or heard ANYBODY say a bad thing about Paul?
CHIEF by nature, hence CHIEF by name.
Damn I never realised that chief and Alfie retired within 2 weeks of each other.
Did the chief retire first or did Alfie retire first?
Langer returned in 2002.
@@brodiemillers5211Alfie retired first.
@@stupendous1068yes he did. That doesn’t change that he retired in 1999 though.
@@troystaunton254 But he still returned in 2002.
