Physical development doesn't go hand in hand with emotional development. You can be 32 on the outside and 3 on the inside.
I don't know why this hasn't been pointed out is that it takes two to tango. both guys had plenty of time and distance available to them to either walk away, or stop the trash talking, neither did. in fact JP did walk 20 ft away but he kept chirping, he could of been the bigger man but chose not to, the same for Dre. IMHO they are both equally guilty and should be men enough to get over it.
Jordan doesn't have to forgive Green. He can just tolerate him and be civil. That's it. That of course is IF he doesn't want to. Maybe in time he will. For now he can just tolerate Green and be civil.

The reality is, it is the end of Green career and GSW need to focus on Poole. When Green was needed most for Warriors, he can do whatever he wants. Now, he is aging so Warriors won’t tolerate his behavior.

Coming from a warriors fan. The main reason Draymond’s apology didn’t sit well with me is that when he was asked about what sort of steps he would take, he kept repeating I’ll work hard. That tells me he hasn’t thought of practical steps to fix the situation. “Thinking” about what you did and “working hard” are not ways to fix this.
Exactly, and that's what a lot of people do when they're full of it and don't ACTUALLY want to change. What does "working hard" mean? He's gonna get therapy? He's gonna go to behavior school? Or maybe it's genetic and he needs some sort of state-of-the-art CRISPR gene therapy or something? Either way, he has the resources to figure it out. He just needs the WILL to do it!

Forgiveness is a process. When people say “just forgive them” have no idea how hard REAL forgiveness really is. There is a reason why it’s a Devine thing to do, because we can’t/struggle to do it

The plan was for them to handle it in house. The team said he apologized immediately after, he also apologized in a team meeting the next day.

The second that video became public it made it _really_ hard for Poole to forgive Draymond in a world where toughness is idolized. If he accepts the apology, Shaq and Chuck will be clowning him on TNT calling him soft saying they'd never forgive someone who did that to them. The second a visual was put to the incident it completely changed the narrative of what happened.

Insincerity, Draymond “The contract killer”
I say this with the caveat Draymond is one of my all time favorite players. His issue is not suffering real world consequence. Fines, suspensions, costing the team a championship. All of those aren't "real world". He hasn't been humbled in a personal setting. No arrests, nobody has fought back against him physically in these circumstances, nobody in his inner circle has abandoned him. Until a very real consequence happens, I don't expect his behavior to exactly to change. And with that knowledge, it's take it or leave it with him.
@Raymond Sims This most recent issue can be grounds for an assault charge, IF Jordan chose to press charges. This most recent issue as well as the multiple nut kicks are grounds for a fight in some peoples books. Losing them a championship/hurting Poole would be grounds for some people to abandon a friendship with him. So yes, it has been bad enough for something to happen, it just hasn't.

I found the lack of interference before and after the punch very interesting, several people close by just looked on scared, I didn’t see many teammates rush in either.

It is a performance. The only thing Draymond was sincere about was trying to knockout a teammate. Actions speak louder than words.
9 times out of 10 they are performing. DeShawn Watson, Robert Sarver, Brett Favre, DeAndre Hopkins ect... So when you hear a sincere apology, which is rare in sports (because these guys are usually only mad they got caught and don't feel bad for their actions), you point that out.
If it's sincere then they are asking you to please forgive them but for some reason I don't think Draymond is looking for that😆
