i do agree with Connor misscasting himself, both times he sounded like a big macho, deep voiced older person, but those 2 characters would sound better with a 20ish years old big brother like sound [ devilman and yugioh scenes ]
I feel like most of the problem is the 'radio voice' sound from his mic. Just amplifies whatever deep tones a voice has to the point it really stands out.

i slightly agree with you on the devilman casting, I personally liked it, but I see what you mean. regarding the yugi one, it's actually accurate to 4kids dub, but with the script, yugi also sounds like the parody that TFS did.
@@theblackndsage8555 Yeah, you could tell he was trying to recreate that. And on the script, funny that this dub is more accurate than the 4Kids one, but half the time it feels like they pick the worst possible translations while still being technically correct.

me too. they making yugi and yami yugi sounded too different when they supposedly has a same voicing.
Not that I ever watched Yu-Gi-Oh' but the original clip was far better. Sorry Connor. They were going for "the cool older youth" not "the British gentleman". All the other clips you did were an improvement however!

I agree with all of them. I enjoyed the attempt at Devil Man, but honestly I think that's the only one that's better without improving on it. You said the original is charming, I feel the same. It has a great tone, and even tho they could be a bit better at the voice acting itself, I still think its an amazing scene

i honestly think its more of a matter of matching the voice to the character design. the design and the voice dont match up whatsoever in the original, i think the improved version made it better because now the voice matches the character design.
if the design was different in the original, i think the voice would match better. /nm

The original voice acting for Devilman wasn't that bad, surprisingly for the 70's. The girl in both versions did really great.

That Goku line was seriously improved. The full-throated shout made Goku sound frantic and panicked, the way a father would if his son was kidnapped.
As a sound designer and audio tech this made me cry some what.

I liked the improvements on most of the scenes. That devilman scene, I definitely feel just the voice felt like the character was meant to be right up at the screen shouting. So I feel the levels could have been adjusted better to have a better audio position on the characters. Other than that, I didn't really notice any changes in the sound effects and I respect the amount of detail you went through. Good Work

Ugh, that Yu-Gi-O script was horrendous! I'm honestly surprised that you even decided to take and attempt at fixing it up at all. Overall, I love watching how the voice actor come together. I also really enjoy you editing the songs and sounds into the clips. I had a class in editing so I understand the nooks and crannies of the subject. I particularly enjoyed the voice for the girl in the Devilman anime, and I can see where you're coming from when you discussed your part in that clip. Sometimes, you are your own best critique, (Still, you did a great job, pat yourself in the back!)
AND LASTLY, Conner, I beg of you.
If you and/or Mr. Mudan can make bloopers for any of these fix videos, that'd mean za waldo to me!!

I actually enjoyed the original devilman dub female actress. She fit the character perfectly. The remake was fine by all means but I just thought that was perfect the first time.
