The SEC elite could not have an up and coming Ark team ruin their corronation of the chosen boy for the heisman and the billions of $ that was promised to Florida for tv revenue if they won. Ark got the same treatment from Texas refs in the old Southwest conference. The Gators have never lost a game they could buy.
Losing this game probably would’ve been good for this team. But I think this team had a lot of chemistry issues and it was pretty much just getting by on sheer talent
@@Lachronix Yeah, I started at Corner #36. The worst call was the Offensive PI by Riley Cooper in the 4th quarter. He straight up tackled me so I couldn't pick Tebow off. The refs told me to shut up and play SMDH.

But I guess everything turned out to be a little bit equalized since Riley Cooper is no longer in the league for calling someone a racial slur. Bias/ favoritism must have been extreme back then. I’d love to hear any other stories you have regarding your time playing football at that high level. As a kid, the gators are my favorite team, but I also just loved college football in general and wanted to play, but obviously never got to. so it’s cool to at least talk with someone who got to play in that era of college football.

omg that last Tebow first down was such a scam. even as a gator fan, that spot was insane.

Oh the game that Florida paid off the refs for not one but two phantom 15 yard penalties that even the biased announcers called a total sham.
The Gators can thank the refs 😡... this was the worst officiated game I played in 💯.
