Weird thing is, from 0-2 down in the final, Mima suddenly started playing a lot better than this match. She struggled a bit here. And JJ played very well for 2 sets. I'm pleased the net service was called correctly in the end (ITTF: replays and umpire review in all the big tournaments is long overdue). I don't know if Mima noticed it. I hope not: she seems fair when she does notice stuff (calling a touch on her shirt vs Pulcanova recently).
Jeon Jihee has a mighty forehand. With that, Jeon can beat anybody in the world as long as she has a good day.

All the players in quarterfinals are Chinese or ethnic Chinese. Jeon was Chinese before becoming a naturalized Korean citizen. Harimoto’s parents are Chinese. Lin Yunru from Taiwan is ethnically Chinese. The game is dominated by China, like it or not. I’d like to see more players from all countries stepping up and perform better. It’s good for the game and it’s good for a bigger audience.

If you play table tennis regularly, you know that there are times you think there's a let when there's none, and the opposite way around ( not seeing a let when there's one) but it's the umpire's responsaibility to show them anyways. Or from a player to complain but you've got to be confident, I probably would've let this one pass tbh
No. JJ played "foul " here.
1. JJ obviously saw the Ito's serve was "net". But JJ didn't want to stop because she thought she was ready to play the forehand LOOP. But the loop was OUT. Then, she made a face of "surprised " like "why no one called it NET?".
But if a fair player, when she saw a NET serve, she would raise her arm to signal the serve was net. But JJ didn't do so. She waited until her return was OUT, and called " NET " serve.
Just think if her return LOOP was in, would she call the serve was "NET " ????

If someone's way of serving is breaking the rule of table tennis, it's the referee's task to denounce it. Here there's been nothing said, which means it wasnt that bad
@@RaccManiacc or it could mean the umpire is not doing their job. Thought of that? Umpire angle is also bad for reinforcing body blocking contact. But from camera angle it's obvious a lot of serves are hidden

At 03:55, I think the Korean player didn't play fair. Why?
1. When she saw the net serve, she didn't raise her Right hand (she is left handed) up to signal the serve was "net". All professional players do so.
2. Instead, she proceeded to hit the serve with her forehand.
>> Her forehand was out. Then, she was "stunned" why no one called the serve was "Let" . But think about it, she didn't call it "Let" herself, and kept playing until her stroke was out.
>> What if her return was IN ??
CONCLUSION: She is a "foul" player. JJ kept playing as if "nothing happened", then, she hit OUT, then, complained "it was a NET serve". So dirty, and unprofessional !!!
