My mom was very similar Craig’s dad. She HATED when I talked to my grandmother (dads side) because she was convinced my grandmother was turning me against my mom. In reality being with my grandmother was a lot like Craig being around Angela and Joey. I used to talk to my grandmother late at night when my parents were asleep but if my mom ever found out we were talking she’d scream and scream. The good old days! 🥲😅😢

I remember this so well, this storyline with Craig was one of his best plots. The actor who portrayed Craig's dad did an amazing job, and of course, we can't forget how Jake Epstein NAILED this. Fear easily pricked at my finger tips for Craig, I couldn't watch this without my stomach quenching through the entire episode.
I've rewatch this series so many times and it's still so good

Craig's situation reminds me of my childhood. Especially the scene of his dad just sitting at the Table so tense and not talking to him then trying to make up his behavior with money. Now like him I understand why I struggle with an ED like he struggles with bipolar

Now that I realize it, Craig’s relationship with his dad is pretty similar to Miles’ relationship with his dad
I’m surprised Craig’s dad didn’t go on a long rant about how he has to show him him absolute loyalty and being forbidden from talking to, consorting with or mentioning Angela or his mother at the risk of worse than this. He seems like a dad who has done that on occasion.
This is such an amazing show; I wish it got a reboot!

i think in canada they had extra scenes added into the episodes but in the us they had to cut them to fit into the time slot

What made Craig's dad so mean?
Bipolar disorder
My conspiracy theory is that Joey was Craig's biological father not Albert. Joey secretly starting dating Craig's mom Julia Manning-Jeremiah when he was age 15 and she was 20. They couldn't talk about it because it would have been illegal for a 15 year old to get a 20 year old pregnant.
Albert Manning later found out Joey was Craig's biological father but was not allowed to tell Craig which is why he abused him. Albert didn't want Craig seeing Angela because he didn't want Craig around Joey because deep down Albert could tell that Craig wasn't his biological son. Joey even treated Craig like he knew he was his real father. They way Joey treated Craig so well is a reason why I decided to make a conspiracy theory about Degrassi.
I know this is just a conspiracy theory I made up but all tv shows have conspiracy theories I feel like Degrassi deserves one.
Dude, That seems true cause Albert was nothing like Craig, Albert was a surgeon while Joey loved music like Craig. Plus Joey and Craig both cheated on women.
