  • Incarcerated Americans and their families have been frustrated by the replacement of in-person visits by video calls, which experts say are costly and deprive loved ones of human contact. Two lawsuits in Michigan seek to reverse the practice and one sheriff explains why he changed his mind on the matter. NBC News’ Lester Holt reports.

Guards are already understaffed and lacking resources, so I'm not surprised that that someone thought outside the box and came up with this idea. This is county lockup because she couldn't afford bail and they are holding her until the trial and as I stated in this country it's supposed to be your totally innocent until proven guilty in a court of law therefore you should be able to see your children
