Everyone complains that the pocket clip is on the wrong side....NOT true. It is right. If you put it IN your jacket or shirt pocket the clip is right. The flashlight is IN your pocket and faces forward and not out side hanging by the clip... I cant figure out why people cant figure that out??? I have this flashlight and it works awesome.

Thanks for watching and for your comment.
I think that people cannot figure that out is because they, like me, would like to clip the light to something other than the inside of a pocket, especially with the weight and size of the light. Straps and belts are more likely the use placement fo the light when the clip is needed. And there is historical precedent for a clip placement 180 degrees from Milwaukee's choice in the classic military MX-199/U series of flashlights. At least that's how I think about it.

@@lastbesttool Good idea, never thought of using it like that. I like the flashlight itself (and its weight) in my pocket facing forward. Works good. I have really come to like using this light. It's now my go to light for everyday use. I have two other Milwaukee lights (1 M12 & 1 M18) for shop use. Good review of the lights. Thanks for making and posting it!

I put it inside my hoodie so the flashlight head come out of the hoodie neck hole. Really practical when changing a ceiling light or when walking. I really like the clip side but would also loved to have the opportunity to change the clip on the other side too.

I just came across this light. You did a great review as always. When I checked the Milwaukee site, the light still uses a micro USB connection. The web page gave the same model number so it hasn't been updated as of April 2023. All the negative reviews give me pause. They mainly complain of battery issues. I'm guessing it may be quality controls issues as there are a lot of positive reviews.

I have been a fan of Milwaukee work lights for a couple years now. This is a BIG deal because I am a "Flash-a-holic" I have multiple "Incans" that can set fire to paper if used like that. 9Surefire M-6 hotwire and Mag11, M85 builds) I am impressed they did their homework and use a very nice warm tint LED in their recent offerings. As a facilities man in engineering working in darkened mechanical rooms you appreciate the ability to distinguish colors on wiring and the like. It's funny how terrible they make the other guys Klein brand magnetic lights look. Lol... Also the user interface isn't the generic high, med, low, strobe crap. Just low and high. I really dig this one... Good reviews Doc. Keep up the great work! Your "collection" just makes me giggle as I am pretty sure it's worth more than my house and land!

It must be decently popular. But the website has such bad reviews for this light. But it looks awesome. I want one.

I have a lot of snap on and Matco and streamlight lights and this one ended up being my favorite the clip it has on the side I always easily put it in my pocket although sometimes I accidentally turn it on and end up burning my shirts lol

I was on the good ol Snap on Truck...just starting out and basically needed a decent penlight. Darn sold me some coast brand Hp3r or something like that. Dies in like...an hour two? basically useless. Its rechargeable but you're gonna need it on that all day long. Recently got the streamlight stylus pro and i've loved it so far as a nice penlight. Not sure how long it's lasted, but the light is nicer than the coasts IMO, it seems to last a GOOD long time, on just them 2 AAs and it costs half the price. Also have one of those pivoting ''snap on'' thicker lights. It's ok, for sure overpriced and not the best but it's been good to me.

Milwaukee has some of the best technology in their redlithium that the tool and charger speak with the battery, and will shut down b4 that usually can occur, not saying it's impossible but you're less likely going to ever deal with that with their batteries

These lights still working for you? i had mine for about 10 months before it wouldn't even stay on after pivoting the head a certain point and than now it wont even stay on at all, looking further into it i geuss there's a design flaw with the wires that are chafing in the pivot head and become exposed/short out, so im not the only one who's experienced it i was pretty bumed out it was my favorite light i was gonna buy a second one until i saw it was a common thing with this specific model light.

Curious to know how yours have held up. I have a few of these Milwaukee rechargeable lights and found there is a massive battery failure rate with the RedLithium USB 3.0 system. The Milwaukee website is full of people comments from owners getting a few months of use from them before the batteries no longer charge. The dreaded flashing red/green indicator is a battery failure and is sadly widespread. Very unfortunate as I like the designs.

    • @lastbesttool

I have five of them and zero failures thus far. Run time seems reduced over they years, but still a solid light. Lucky, I guess.

@@lastbesttool Great to hear. I bought three various lights at the get go with one failure after just three charges. There's a HD deal right now so I just picked up 2 more lights inc. 3 batteries total for $59 which is a pretty nice deal if the batteries don't fail.

The best advice I have is to keep an eye on eBay. There is a whole subculture of broken tools for parts including Milwaukee lights. Or watch for a used one that still works.

what the different between hammer drill & sds

    • @footlongburrito
      @footlongburrito Před 3 lety

Hammer drill is used as a drill driver and has the capability to hammer the bit for small fasteners, like regular tap cons, a sds is specifically made for driving concrete/masonry fasteners, chipping. concrete/masonry, drilling larger holes in concrete/ masonry as large as 1"to 2" holes where a hammer drill can not be used as chipping hammer or do 1"holes

I want my money back for the 2 that I bought because the battery life on these things suck. I'm gonna talk to Milwaukee's engineering department and say you guys have made a flashlight that only lasts maybe 2 days on a regular workday. I bought a small pocket flashlight from the gun show that has lasted me weeks with battery power. 18650 Battery that is removable it gives me like I said 2 weeks of service

Go check out Olight flashlights or Fenix. CNC precision machined flashlights and much higher brightness. Probably not much more expensive. Also have magnets. Multiple brightness often up to 2000-3000 lumens for flashlights of that size.

@@brettwalkom948 same with milwaukee lights. I'm a auto tech and I've had 2 different milwaukee hand held flashlights and have had poor experiences with them. I only had them for 2-3 months each. Not only did they have poor battery life, they also failed pretty quickly in real life uses..
On on the other hand I have had my handheld fenix for over 9 months, and gets dropped 3 or 4 times a day and haven't had a single problem. Oh and the battery will last me upwards of 1-2weeks on a single charge.
