My two thoughts while watching this episode were "this is a great episode" and "oh, there are going to be some mad people." I really liked Rogue as a character. Hope we see him again.

I’m guessing they might put the Shalka Doctor as a pre-Hartnell/Timeless Child Doctor, like the Fugitive Doctor. Some fans online have also speculated that it could be a residual effect of the Great Intelligence (also played by Richard E Grant) inserting himself into the Doctor’s time stream at the end of “The Name of the Doctor”.

The fact that next week's episode seems to be focusing heavily on the Susan Twist situation, but is *called* The Legend of Ruby Sunday ... it intrigues me.
Susan twist is anagram of tardis it's to do with the toy maker or trickstet

Is Rogue a recasting of a new young Captain Jack Harkness? 🙂 lets face it at a few points in the episode he was very much like how John Barrowman played him before the Bad Wolf situation.
My headcannon was that Jack was the partner we lost but specifically never named or said was dead.

You're much kinder about Lindy and chums from last week than I'd imagined. I was fine with them having a slow realisation of just how much they fucked up and doomed themselves cos of their ignorant ways over some shark eating them before they can process anything.
My thoughts... The Doctor is back. I have loves the season so far... But.. For a "Season one" there's not been enough to introduce the doctor to old fans in this incarnation let alone new fans. This could have been aired sooner, and it would have fixed that for me.
Yes! I cannot understand how "Space Babies" was chosen as the premiere. It's probably the worst episode of the series and possibly turned some people off from bothering to watch the rest of the series.

We don't see who John Hurt becomes. So he could become the Shalka Doctor, be forced to work for division cleaning up after the Time War and then have his memory erased again. Like he was between War Games and Spearhead from Space.

I think watching this season of doctor who has made me realize the right wingers will be mad no matter what, so now I’m fully in the camp of being delighted when doctor who is just unapologetic in their stories. I LOVE this budding romance, I really hope we see him again. ❤

Good introduction episode but does have its clichés. The pop music inclusion does get overused. And the threat being cos players was weird.
I always wish the Shalka and Fugitive Doctors were Multiverse incarnations. Same regeneration line.
Wish the story addressed the Doctor being a bit more...confident in flirting than other versions.
Rogue being a love interest to the Doctor works well but does feel rushed. But he is a good addition and would like it if he teamed up with the likes of Rusty, Miss Quill, John Hart, Abslom Daak, Karvanista, Vindr etc as a more action focused team.
I normally enjoy your reactions, but I really don't want to hear from the loud and annoying anti-woke brigade and for me that includes loud and annoying imitations of them. Please don't.
I expect the ones who will complain the loudest, will be the same ones who were calling out the loudest for a female relationship with Jodies Doctor and Yaz, tell me what's the difference, none as far as I can see, I am a strate woman but I thought, it was beautiful.
