Sonic is 9.5 times faster than light because in sonic unleashed, the speed gauge goes to 369 spd when using the light speed dash, which is confirmed to be as fast as light, and sonic’s top speed in the game is 3519 spd.
Meaning sonic’s speed is AT THE VERY LEAST 9.5 times the speed of light.

This video was great! Death Battle really put no effort into the research for this fight. Most of the "research" was heavily one sided towards Mario emphasizing on stupid one-time gags for his strength and durability feats. And I believe that the reason why Sonic couldn't outrun the black hole at the end of Colors was because the ground was falling apart, not because he wasn't fast enough. As proven by Sonic Forces, when he is in a neutral environment, Sonic can run fast enough to traverse dimensions which puts him at a higher feat than outrunning a black hole. Besides, we've seen Sonic's friends outrun black holes at the end of 06 which mean Sonic can outrun them too. Sonic being swallowed by the black hole in Colors was just a plot device to display Sonic's friendship with the wisps. Friendship and teamwork are big themes in the Sonic franchise. And aside from all that, Forces takes place after Colors so it can be assumed that Sonic grew to be stronger and faster in Forces than he was in Colors anyway.

They said Mario's reactions could keep up with Sonic, although they stated Mario's max speed was Mach 375, which isn't even 300,000 mph. Sonic, in the same video, was placed at 200,000,000 mph. That's well over 600 times faster.
Compare a man moving 15 mph to the average bullet at 1,700 mph, and that gap is barely over 100.
But (being captain obvious here), that's pretty much Death Battle for ya. What else could anyone have expected?

Um, actually. I'm pretty sure they meant that Mario's speed feat from "maneuvering as electricity" compares to Sonic's "2 Million MPH" speed.
While Mario's Mach 375 (Star Diver feat) compares to Sonic's Mach 209. (Outran Whisp feat.). So I think you misinterpreted it.

You forgot to mention sonic mania, studiopolis zone acts 1 and 2. Sonics in game, PROGRAMMED top speed is over 2 times faster than the speed programmed into the game for the radio waves (radio waves move at light speed). Also, in act 2, there are pipes that turn sonic into electricity and throw him through the stage. In this SAME STAGE sonic is able to run ON TOP of the SAME PIPES at top speed and he actually moves FASTER across the pipes than he does while he’s turned into electricity. Electricity is 1/3 the speed of light.
Therefor even in game, sonic is faster than light

Alright I subscribed and hit that notification bell. I really don't like talking about the sonic vs Mario 2018 100th episode of death battle,because all it ends up to is just a argument and a big ass conflict. However, I defeantley approve and agree on your claims statement and you're evidence.
Yes there was nothing but ass pulling and guessing on the whole 21 minute long video. Also Mario can't use that many cherries to make different clones of himself.
Even Mario fans would agree that the fight was rigged and Mario's star power up lasted longer than it should've., every Mario power up has a limit to it (unless if it's the tanooki power up) and even the all sonic would need to do is kick or punch Mario to the sun and the tanooki power up will no longer be helpful to Mario.
I'm glad someone like you actually pointed out all of the awful things that death battle did.
You don't even need to be a sonic fan to figure out that death battle was so wrong in so many ways.

hyper sonic needs the 7 super emeralds. According to the sonic lore, 1 chaos emerald is ♾ power, so all chaos emeralds = ♾ x 7. And the master emerald makes the super emeralds, with would be ♾ x 2 for 1 super emerald. That would mean Hyper sonic is as power as ♾ x 14. And this is all canon. Sonic solos fiction. Maybe I’m wrong, scarlet is better at this than me.

@@amuter16 Mario's Star Power is timed short, Super Sonic doesn't last as short as Mario's Star power, plus Mario doesn't go faster with Star Power while Super Sonic has his speed increased.
