Welcome to the Bamboo Forest Market (ตลาดป่าไผ่สร้างสุข) in Phatthalung (พัทลุง), Southern Thailand. This could easily be one of the most beautiful markets in Thailand, and one of the most laid back and friendly markets as well.
The market was started by Khun Kwanjai Klapsuksai, who is an advocate for preserving nature and sustainability. She started growing bamboo, as it grows so fast, and has so many uses. And now with over 40 varieties of bamboo in a forest, they decided to start a food market in the bamboo forest. For sure it’s one of the most pleasant markets you’ll ever visit in Thailand.
The food is also delicious. You’ll find a mix of Southern Thai food, and snacks, and plenty of natural fruits and vegetables, green ingredients. I tried a number of foods, but my favorite was the lemongrass and green mango wrapped in betel leaves, and the herbal rice salad.
Price - 40 THB ($1.30) each dish
The Bamboo Market in Phatthalung (พัทลุง) is a gem of Thailand, highly recommended!

A bamboo market in a forest? nothing will ever be cooler than that. Wow I would never want to leave.
Man that is so amazing they literally grafted a modern town into the forest. I would seriously never want to leave.
Missing Thailand.... can’t wait to visit this amazing country!
My family and I love watching your videos together. I'm a nurse that works in the ICU and Hospice and your videos are a great way to destress every day. Thank you! ❤️
This market looks absolutely beautiful
Exactly I feel like 100 years ago I saw video of Cambodia and Thai video that they filmed from 100 years seem situation and style I love it.
😍
Love the Bamboo Forest Market idea 👍👍👍
Use leafs as serving dish 👍👍👍
The only thing i don't really like is when they use plastic spoons
They should have use small spoon or scoop that made out of bamboo instead
Tq, Mark for sharing this inspiring place with us 😊
Mark you are such a friendly nice person
OMG that rice salad looks amazing!!! I love how they made the rice with the anshan flowers
@5:50 I bet Mark will soon regret buying that toy for Micah. 😆
@7:55 I had Miang Kham in Bangkok. Tasty snack indeed.
Haha, yes, luckily the string broke pretty fast, hahah!
A good party game is to ask children or guests to impersonate 1. An elephant trumpeting, 2. A cricket cricketing - almost impossible, such a toy would be really useful lol! I actually wonder if anyone can impersonate the sound of a cricket????
If Mark compete in Survival show..he will be the winner. He's not gonna be starving and probably don't want to go home either.
That is the most amazing looking salad I have ever seen in my life. Thank you Mark.
This is the most beautiful street food place I’ve ever seen
This place looks so amazing and beautiful ! The bamboo forest, the market, the people, the food, what a wonderful place. I also love the "plates" (lotus leaves) and "containers" (banana leaves) - so natural and beautiful. Shame though that they are using plastic spoons. Thanks a lot Mark for sharing this with us. Travelling to Thailand is not possible at the moment, but thanks to you we can at least travel virtually.
Horse Mango is amazing.. this veggie shop is a paradise!! Amazing.. I think the day I go I feel homesick... Half of the veggies and fruits we use to cook.. Bamboo artifacts are amazing!!
You're about the only man I can ever say I love! 😝 Love your content. My whole family loves watching you!
Thank you so much. Say hello to your family!
And thats called all bout thug life???😂😂🤔
I dunno but looks kinda all that gay life to me...🤔
And you rushed to troll this comment, cuz you feel left out and unloved 🤣 get a life sucker! 😝
The salad looks sensational!!I wish we could buy something like that in Europe.
OMG Mark Thailand is so beautiful and the food looks so good plus they are so environment friendly with the leaf plates !!!
Mark that fruit u said was like a type of fig..in Trinidad and Tobago its called "series".. I had a tree at my home
Thank you so much Gisann, awesome that you had a tree!
Actually there is nothing related to fig. This plant can be called Calabura, Jam tree, Jamaican cherry, Malayan Cherry, West Indian Cherry in other countries. In Thailand, it's known as 'Ta-khob'. 😉
Places like this made me fall in love with Thailand.
I literally look forward to Mark's uploads for my after work relaxation session. Never change Migration Mark!
Thank you Coen, appreciate your amazing support.

Funny how 💘 the perfect 🎶music started as Mark got into the rice salad 🥗 harmoniously at 13:00.

Thank you for watching Haruko!
Wow 🤩 I love it 🥰 I miss my hometown thank you for lovely videos 🤩
Thank you very much Mark, for this new series of Southern Provinces. So timely for me. I was about to buy a house in Nan Province (North), but changed my mind after seeing all these videos. The south has so much more to offer, so diverse, the beaches and jungles. So encouraging to see that there are still jungles left in Thailand. By the way, masterful filming skill. Bravo.
Hello, I live in Phatthalung. I'm so glad you came to spread the good news from them.

Your videos are so cool👍
In Sri Lanka we call that fruit "Uguressa" it's very chalky if you eat it without rolling it and softening it.
Awesome place. Reminds me of those games or movies where there's a village or town in the jungle.
