I get the concept and am sure it will work as described. Only thing is,if like me you already have a high end UV, the ozone unit is all you would be looking at and by the sounds of it,at a fraction of the cost of this. Also,most new UV units have parts that are easily replaced. I think this wouldn't compare well against the higher end UV units and like all things that have to have parts replaced,I would be curious of costs with this in comparison to the stand alone units. Good concept tho
Totally you wouldn't run 2 units , I think the aim here is to give you the best of both. Not only are you exposing the water colum to concentrated UV but your also adding ozone in where it can't escape straight away. So in theory you keeping the specific exposed water being treated for longer, at a fraction of the running cost. In theory anyway. Parts wise full host of spares available from eco filtration , and I've found them very helpful on parts and queries etc. Price wise you have to bring it into consideration against other ozone units , everything else starts at around £1k so value wise it's as competitive as it gets.
We shall see, I'll get to see what it offers, and report back to you all.
How's your pond doing? Any new arrivals in the pipeline with new season upon us? That pro bites food you spoke about before isn't easy to get hold of either.
Think you will require ozone air line as normal air line breaks down .as when i used ozone on my marine tank had to use ozone proof air line do you nead a opr meter when running it
Thanks for commenting 😊 correct on the airline , the line eco filtration provide with it works well, same as with the original unit i reviewed last year, I also cover off the air line and ORP in those. with it Being a far larger environment than our aquariums the dosage level is much harder to get wrong. But is still good practice to keep an eye on orp totally agree

Hello mate 👋, I have found another one which I picked up for £50, however I haven't been able to test it in earnest yet so can't tell you if it's any good, once I get this system up in next week or so I will get it out. I have seen a fair few other tubers go for the Kactoily 7 in 1. Looks a good bit of kit , but it is quite pricey. I would give that a go but can't stretch to it at the mo. Maybe worth a look for you. 😊
