Thanks a lot for watching and safe journeys!
Gabe. Go hard or go home this time around. Spend the entire summer in Greece dude! It's your place, everyone knows that and you've got many islands you have yet to visit. LETSS GOO!!!
40 Greek islands !!! Just wow, amazing. Love Greece and the Greek people.
Yeah that’s Effin unbelievable 😊
I Love Greece's Flag The Most Of All Flags!
I love Gabe’s videos. There’s no flag in the world I care for. They’re literally parchments that represent imaginary lines in the dirt often made by underpaid workers in a different land.
@@jksezhey1The Greek flag represents more than you could ever imagine
@@santaclawz4431 I respect your sentiment. Flags are literally parchments. I won’t criticize you one bit if you’re a flag waver. America’s cultish subservience to its flag is interesting too. We’re definitely not a United 50 states. The feeling of freedom is separate from killing for a flag, just my humble opinion.
Gabe is my fav travel tuber. Here since 2016
SAME !!! He is the undisputed Best!!!! 💯👍🏻
I did a 3 week Peloponnese round trip last year. It is worth it! You have some of the best ancient sites (Mytras, Olympia, ancient Korinth and so on) , nice towns (Nafplio, or check out Monemvasia) and also surprisingly some of the best beaches. Take a 15 min ferry to Elafonisos, spend a few days in rugged Mani. Fewer tourists than on the islands (which i also love) and a bit cheaper.
Don't miss Laskarina Bouboulina's house. She was a Greek heroine in the fight for Greek Independence.
Every time I see your Greek videos, I know that Greece is a place I would like to visit in the future.
Gabriel, I did the same and rented a car for a Peloponnes trip. It was one of the best experiences in my life. We did over 2000 kilometers in two weeks. So much history there!
Especially the sight of Epidavros blew my mind. You need to visit this one! Make sure to go early right when they open. And let it change your life. Have fun. Greetings
You could also watch a play there (Epidavros). Ancient tragedy or comedy with English subtitles
Hey Gabriel, my wife strongly recommends Poros island for a visit. Love the videos, especially Greece, our favourite place 👍
POROS ISLAND IS BEAUTIFUL, I AGREE WITH YOU AS A GREEK.
You’re going to spoil us with the multiple videos a day.
Trying to catch up! I still have videos from Malta to edit.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos they make bike racks for cars
I will riot if this stops..
Spoil? How many hours a day do you have to watch CZcams??

Two videos in one day, such a heavy work Gabriel! Spetses has a lot of beautiful beaches and it’s greener than Hydra. You should visit Nafplion on the mainland, quite near Spetses. Its one of the charmiest cities in Greece, an absolute must visit!
From all the other places you've gone, this is the most interesting and beautiful, where the viewer Never gets bored!!
I did a tour for 1 day from Piraeus and we went to Hydra, Poros and Agina Islands with lunch included it was amazing
This trip is going to be awesome. I've never heard of these islands and they're beautiful!
All the Greek islands are beautiful but most tourists know only the Cyclades in particular Mykonos and Santorini.
Hi Gabriel, really happy you are back in Greece. I've been going since '69. I've only been to 21 islands so far. We were seriously looking at spending our retirement there. However, I cannot believe the cost of everything you are posting. In the past 18 months, I've seen booking prices increase from 2 to 3 times for the same place. The cost of the meals you posted are so expensive. In the past, we paid 6 to 8 Euro for yemistes and now with salad and drink is 33? A real sticker shock!
I can’t tell you enough how much I love your travels.
What a hard working man Gabriel! Thank you for your amazing works. I went to Santorini & Mykonos last year, glad to see more islands through your camera.
Spetses. This is where they shot the movie "Glass Onion (Knives Out 2)".
Love exploring the islands with you. Thanks for all the tips.
Your a brave man visiting Greek islands in summer . The bike is a great idea .
25:56 usually the feta is served on the salad in one block; they cut it up here (I do that too).
In about four weeks, I'll be visiting a nice island too. Already looking forward to the camping, the beaches, and the hikes ;-) Also, no cars and motorbikes there either (except public transport, emergency services and some locals). I'm taking my own bike with me.
The one monastery that I know of on the island is called Propheti Elias (Prophet Elijah). If you return to Hydra, I recommend hiking up to it.
Gabe is on 🔥
I agree about sitting further up on a boat for safety reasons, been watching a lot of ship disaster shows.
Hydra , you missed the quiet in this island, I’m sure.Hydra, isn’t so special island, but it has a charm for the visitors.
You look really happy now Mr Morris. Good to see❤
Thank you for nice island reviews. For all us Greek lovers this is one optional way to travel islands never visited. Enjoy your holiday and keep up your great work!,,
Good morning from Scotland Mr traveler ! Oh Lord , do i ever wish that i could use my tablet screen as a portal and transport myself to the island of Hydra ! It looks so picturesque and immaculately tidy . Man ,you could have eaten your breakfast on the ground .... God speed , big fella !
Another fantastic video Gabe
I like very much that all your meals include Greek salad, the perfect dish for summer in Greece, very healthy and usually from local ingredients
Great job on another great Greece video. We loved your reasons about buying a bike vs. renting. It looks like we might have to head to Greece after being in Asia for so long 😅
Was a good watch Gabriel, as always. Audio impressed me near close.
Best Wishes & Regards from this Scotsman.
Thank you mate. I'm living my dreams through you. 😊😊😊😊
Beautiful, inspiring video once again. Just wanted to add...I like how you always show your restaurant meal at the end. It may seem like a small thing to some---but it's very interesting to see the dinner options available in other countries. Greek food looks very fresh, healthy, and colorful.
Spetses looks like a typical, amazing Greek island with a great coastline 💯
Great to see you are back in Greece. I always use a ferry scanner app to keep track of the Greek ferries. Then you know where it is and if it is on time. Anyway happy travels.
@@mizdamazda4884
Really good idea to get a bike explore many Greek islands. We visited Greece for 3 months this year because of you.
Cute how the little boy tried to race you!
OMG YES on no footboards! I'm tall for a woman at 5'9" and I love having my feet off the bottom of the bed. Thankfully, footboards aren't as common in Latin America as they are in the US, however neither is the mattress quality. The older I get (52 now), the more I want a comfy bed as my #1 hotel/airbnb requirement. In reviews, I look for wifi speed and mattress ratings LOL.
I don't even know why they exist, since they don't do anything other than get in the way.
I guess these newer boats are designed to carry as many passengers as possible in the quickest time. They aren’t as much fun as the bigger boats, but get you to your destination in a shorter time!
Very nice room and good price, much cheaper than Hydra. I always wanted to go to Spetses but it somehow seemed out of the way even. after 6 years of living in Athens. I think I took too much for granted.
I wish I was there, have a great time for me
If I was freakin wealthy I’d buy Mr. Morris a hybrid cruiser bicycle. Those raised handlebars are everything and allow for upright riding similar to a motorcycle.
Gabriel I made a mistake. Spetses is where the Bouboulina Museum is found.
Thank you Gabe😊nice video💙
Always love the way you travel…fly by the seat of my pants! Thanks for taking us along your travels! ~Cara 😊
So much fun!
Sailing round the Med would be fantastic , but only if you got on with the others on board.
This place is beautiful
Not first but ok with that
Hi Gabe, where you been we waiting all morning for your video ha-ha. We didn't have Greece on our list, but now we are planning to visit Athens, Greece. Be safe and we always waiting next video. Chaos
25:47 amazing view ⭐️
Yes, typical of spetses, different from Cyclades but also beautiful
Man Oh Man Oh Man In the Elements
Thought that was Tim K. on the carriage 😂
Spetses for the literary minded is where John Fowles lived and which is said to be the inspiration for the mysterious evocations of " The Magus "
A writer also known to some as author of " The French Lieutenant's Woman " , made into 1981 movie that won Bafta and Golden Globe awards
Great video as always Gabe. I love how the Fix logo has reverted to Greek characters!
Gabriel, you are my idol right now. I just some day I would do what you do, at least of 1-2 months. In the greek islands, of course.
Another vacationday for me, thnx man !😉👍
According to what you've been sayin' in your videos, you'll be leaving Spetses today. Hope you're going to Poros 😁. Now a few interesting facts about Spetses.
It is one of the few islands whose name is actually in the plural. Kythira is the biggest, then Spetses, then some really small islands like Paxoi, Fournoi, Lipsi, Arkioi etc.
Cars are banned in Spetses too! Outside cars, that is. The only cars allowed are those of people living on the island, or emergency/construction vehicles. Everyone else has to park their car on the mainland town of Costa (there is a parking for that purpose that fills up during the high season). And there are *no* ferries going to the island.
Spetses and Ydra, were (and probably still are) some of the wealthiest places in Greece, for centuries now, thanks to a great tradition in the merchant navy. In fact both islands heavily bankrolled the Greek War of Independence more than 200 years ago.
I rented a bike on Naxos and took a boat to Antiparos with it. Some of the other minor cycladic islands you don't even need a bike...
You should go to Andros island!
Andros is one of the largest islands in the Cyclades, also has world famous trails. It's a beautiful scenic island with many activities to do and places to explore! You should definitely visit Andros! :)
great video thanks saludos
Cheers @ 25:37
Cheers, ya mas and efharisto. 👍🍺
Id love to be there! Prob not come back 😅
cool, Greece is so cool
Great videos as usual! Seems like i have some catching up to do. Only been to Athens in Greece. 🙂 The bicycle is really something I will try to do also. Really smart to get your own bike. I have rented bikes in many places. Many times not reliable.
Nice place!
I want to do some travel before I get too along in years but the cost of meals I see on the videos these days wow I hope there are less costly options ,
Hi Gabriel, Not for nothing but Spetses offers a bike travel experience that allows you to get around with ease. It makes a difference not having to always spend on car fare or rentals which could be costly and it gives you more freedom for leaving the main town and venture off the beaten path. The Greek islands offer an island for every person some quiet and romantic others adventures and yet others isolated.
My kingdom for some real moussaka... oh lord have mercy.
Big Gabe hasn’t a clue all those foxy mommas are giving him the “hey handsome” looks 😊!
Spetses is one of my favourite islands, just to correct you there are no private cars or rental cars on Spetses. Only delivery vehicles and scooters/bikes. Nothing has changed to any extent on Spetses in 40+ years. Unfortunately, Hydra is now overrun with daytrip tourists.
On the way back to Athens definitely stop in Poros. It's not as touristy and it is beautiful. The island is very green with hidden beaches i.e. the love beach etc. You can cycle to it from the Poros town very easily. I love Poros and it's beautiful alleyways, probably more than Hydra and Spetses 🇬🇷💙
Gabriel, you became one of us in Greece.
He is a LEGEND !!!! 💯👍🏻
Hey Gabriel, Glad you made to Spetses. Lovely island but those motor bikes are making a lot of noise. It would be good when all of them become electric. Anyway enjoy yourself and I hope you can have a ride on the horse and buggy ride. Enjoy your stay and thanks for the videos. Stay safe.
Was on spetses 20 or so years back & cars were banned! There was a single car which was a taxi. They must have allowed cars at some point since then!
They do day tours from Athens calling at 3 islands, Hydra, Spetse and Aegina!
The sign at 20:44 reads (loosely translated): “IF WE DONT HAVE IT, YOU DONT NEED IT”. 😅
Ha, cool. 👍
Follow the link, under the image with the islands it says "Καταλογος" it means catalogue. It is the official records of every single Greek island population. Look what happens to the population number after the 109th island.
Thinking about Gabriel on a cruise ship and my brain can´t make it. It wouldn´t fit.
I dunno man. Dinner for the same price as a room feels very off to me
Inflation has caused some food stuffs to rise this year in Greece. It will be back to normal soon Im sure! But you are right, those are all a little pricey for Greece!
On Naxos just saw Flying Cat 4!!!!!
Ysmas🍻, nice vibe
Hail Hydra! 😄
I dont like those small fast boat at all for many reasons. First of all i suffer from bad motion sickness and those small one move around a lot. 2nd You must always be inside the ship! There is a small space outside the ship crew will not let you stay there while the boat is moving. 3rd the ships are much better, cheaper and more fun like Gabriel said!! You can move around a lot go out side watch the sea and take some fresh air, most of the time there are places to eat fast food or other stuff they take a bit more time to get there but that ok with me. I enjoy them the small one not so much and i am greek. lol :)
20:44 We don't have what you dont need
Very nice video! That food seems kind of pricey for what you get. Be safe!
Yeah, its the inflation this year in Greece where some Food Products have gone up, but Im sure it will balance out at some point in the next year hopefully..👍🏻
Pricey?? €33 is an absolute ripoff in anyone’s language.
@@peterkatsambis9415 I definitely wouldn't pay that!
Hey there … I love Greece as you and many others do … I also really enjoy the Greek music you play on your videos.. is it mainly mandolins ? But I also enjoy the music you choose on other locations one of my favourites the lyric “ it’s not hard to be a good man “ ❤ who is that ?
Hi, the music I use is always listed below every video. Click "Show More" to see the full description. The other musician you're referring to is Samuel McCumber, great stuff.
Aww man.
Enjoying your Greek tours, food bit dear, can you name all 40 islands ? What is your fave so far? Safe travels.
I will list every island in the next video.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos We are loving your Greek tours.
Two videos in one day, woohoo! Marrakech next week for me and new sandals coming tomorrow...
Sweet, enjoy Morocco and the sandals, a good combo.
Gab i'm shocked Greece is your favorite place! I spent 2 weeks in Athens and never felt the desire to return! maybe i should reconsider! I can do Ireland and Paris every year those are my happy places..
@johnokeefe3841 Its because you are a tacky american ..obviously😋
Bummer that you only saw Athens in two weeks. The only real reason to go there is to catch a boat or drive elsewhere. Athens is interesting for a couple days, then you have to venture onwards. I will be posting much more of the Greek islands in the coming weeks and maybe I'll explore more of the mainland as well.
Of course you hated it if you spent 2 weeks in Athens. Even us Greeks hate Athens. Outside of Athens though, Greece is beautiful.
@@panoC97 Well to be fair!!!! I was in the Navy living on one of them big gray things in the ocean..LOL
No one goes to Greece for Athens I didnt even get off the cruise ship there! We waited till Crete,Mikonos,Rhodes etc the Islands are amazing and the sea is so blue!
I remember Hellenic Seaways
Seems like you’ve given up on AirBnb, Gabriel. Is that correct? Why?
on the thought of doing a little mainland trip... the Corinth Canal is just amazing. Considering the horrible slave labor and just how deep it is... its really something you have to see with your own eyes. Anyway... keep on trucking man.
Gabriel, have you ever been to the French Polynesia islands ?
No, just to Fiji: www.youtube.com/@gabejedmo/search?query=Fiji
Life is better on a bike!
A friend of mine, cycles all over the world. His bike goes in the plane as odd shaped luggage. You just have to remove the peddles and turn the steering wheel 90 degrees. The cost is not that much, 50 euro, I think.
Just sayin' you don't have to leave your bike in Greece.
Yeah that's an option, I took my bike on the plane in 2009 when I flew from Oregon to Greece. The problem is that I will be going from Greece to another country in Europe where I won't plan to bike around that country, so I wouldn't want to have it with me.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos you could always find a waitress to store it for you. 😂. Yes I know I’m bad lol.
So beautiful gab 😍👌
Mate those day tours suck, you don’t want to be wading through so many bloody tourists. Very annoying!! It was like that in 2019 on Mykonos, I wanted to get the hell out of there. Decent ferry but not as big as those Blue star ferries. Spetses looks pretty flat, well the port town anyway. You’re right better option to buy your own bike. It’s actually an awesome idea to bike around. Safe travels mate. 😃👍
