This video is about the Audi A6 steering column module repair. When an Audi A6 has no
ignition lights, there is a way to fix the issue.
🔴 Common problem with this module :
-Takes several attempts before car will start
-Steering lock fault code 00288 (steering lock actuator N360)
-Clicking noise when key inserted
-No ignition car will not start
-Vehicle immobilized

➡️ If you already managed to reset this error by EOBD diagnostics the problem will most likely happen again unless you change the parts supplied in this KIT.

DIY Job.
Anyone with basic knowledge and tools can desolder old and solder new parts. Just be patient and tidy.
➡️ If the module if from your car then NO ADAPTATION is required. Just put it back in when you change the parts.
➡️ If you have a situation where you don't have ignition at all caused by this module then there is a way to reset it.
You need a VCDS and I can link you the procedure, no problem.
➡️ What ever problem you have with this module don't put it back in as it was, because the problem will reoccur unless you change the switches and relay.

Can you repair the Module for my 2008 Audi Q7. it won’t Start anymore after the Module was removed from the Steering Colum. The only problems was the Navigation stopped working and it has a periodic power drain.

Right at the start, what tool do you use to remove those 2 screws? Is it just a really thick flat head screw driver?
It's a flat head screwdriver but before I did some grinding to even out the slot in the screws.

This is a different unit from Audi. I will have repair kit for Tourage/Cayenne in aprox. 10 days and I'll contact you then.

@@sankhuya You will see the metal-colored lock under the steering wheel.
The lock sometimes cannot open or close because the screw inside this lock is stuck. hence it gives this error. You will need to detach the lock from the steering column. Once you can work comfortably, you should remove the error from the immobilizer menu with vag-com.
I have a 2009 with no power, the key fob isn’t recognized and the hazards switch doesn’t work either. Also the high beams switch has no power any ideas would be helpful

I have the same problen with VW Touareg NF 2011. It even doesnt start. Can you please tell me how to start the engine with VCDS? And is it possible to buy the same repair parts for it?
Foot on brake pedal (for roughly 20 seconds) before turning on the ignition.
* High beam stalk held in the flash to pass position.
* 4-way flasher / hazard light switch on.
Then connect with VCDS and erase the errors
I don't have parts for this module, you can buy a used one but you'll need to do online adaptation.
@@vagrepaircenter Thanks for your answer. I turn on 4-way flasher so VCDS can see the car. Then I erase errors in immobilizer module. But when I try to start engine after deleting the error - it doesn't start and show error once again.
It looks like there is no easy solution for my problem.

What are your exact error codes? Is the motor working normally if you supply it with 12V?
@@vagrepaircenter Motor is working normally. I don't have any error codes, just the steering lock sometimes is working, sometimes not...
