EVE Online PvP Basics: Opening Engagements

- Today I’m going to be showing you some fleet PvP action again - But rather than just doing a flat out video battle report like I have in the past, what I want to do here is start to actively try and share some of the lessons I’ve re-learnt as an FC.
This time we're going to be looking at how to open up engagements in a way that works with your gameplan, using probes, warpins and other techniques!

Hey I'm in this video, I'm in a Cormorant when you warp back to the Paala gate. It was a salvager Corm so I don't think you bothered to try and kill me, but I did fly through the middle of this fight to try and be a sneaky looting asshole
@Zech Slade Oh, never do that. I'm surprised I didn't get shot, and it's kind of a dick move depending on what you're looting.
Good fights, we were slightly messier on the second engagement vs the Gnosis fleet as I warped back to the Basilisk who came in late. I love these types of even numbers engagements, they really keep you sharp. See you next time.

Hey Jin'taan, can you do a video on the best roles for players to fill in a corporation? For example flying a dictor or fast tackle or even on the community side with helping new players or being an FC. I'd be interested to see what roles are most important to corporations when recruiting players

What EVE time do you fly usually?
I have a suggestion. It might be a bit harder to explain because fights are fluid. But target selection and target priorities.
Fleet composition? Starting from common frig-cruiser-BC and EWAR supports that benfit?

can you make a video specifically for logistic pilots? I want to fly as logi in Brave Newbies and dont know much about flying as one

What did putting combat probes on yourself do?
It allowed me to probe down the hostile fleet on grid, and warp to them, giving me a positional advantage

Yes, I recently joined them! Being around new players in EVE has a way of re-energising you, I swear, they’re so adorable
@@Jintaan I learned a lot when I was a member of brave, lots of fights too people always seemed to want to come and pick on the newbies.

oh my goodness, as a fellow FC. Make a target broadcast hotkey, watching you right click to broadcast each target is super cringe lol
I learnt to play before that existed, it's muscle memory at this point
@@Jintaan i got 14 years in myself. Should try it out. Will greatly improve your target calling speed. And allow emergency broadcasts for things like booshers
