A classic plumber tube bender for 5/8 tubes. It's normally made for copper tube but it made it for the minibike (even if it was hard to bend!)

I'm 61 now and I made one of these when I was 13 or 14 in my shop class when I was in school. I didn't have any money so I had to use some different parts then what is shown in the artical. Instead of the 2-stroke Olson and Rice motor I used an old Reo 1.5 HP lawn mower motor. The reason Reo went under was they had a fatal flaw in ther engine design. The intake manifold would crack. I made another out of a block of Aluminium and put a Mercury outboard carb on it. That was all I had. Th motor was small but was still to big to go in the frame so I built a sidecar frame for the motor to set on. My mico mini had 3 wheels. If you moved over to far the spark plug was right there to give you a good jolt My clutch was a simple footpedal lever . When you stepped on the pedal a wooden roller from a lawn mower (yes wooden) would tighten a rubber belt and away you went. It was difficult to get the correct tires and rims. The tires were originally made by Goodyear. You can tell even in the old artical because thats an old Goodyear tire patern they use on so many tires. If you are looking for parts try Surplus Center in Nebraska. they have a lot of odd ball stuff and sometimes cheep. We had more fun with this than you can believe. Good luck men.

    Hi,
I've used 4 long bolts. I've fitted 4 spacers between the sprocket and the wheel and 4 nuts on the other side of the wheel. As easy as this.

there is actuly 25cc engines to but they arent that powerfull but it whold be a very tiny and cool bike. but why not take a v8 chevy engine model (only 8000dollars to buy one) and put in one of these hahaha

thats true and I just got through thinking the other day after I finish my dozer build I might would build another taco/LIL Indian look alike like my other 2 and build it about half the size and then find a small motor later,,amazing,,think of it and someone will comment,,haha,,imagine a cox 049 engine on one you could hold in your hand,,LOL,,there is no limit to how small something mechanical could be and yes a mini chevy v8 would be darling on one or on anything for that matter,,thanks
