- Here are my thoughts on the Nukeproof Megawatt Comp on my first day of riding.
Bear in mind this is my first ever E-Bike, and I haven't bought a new MTB for a long while, so this isn't a proper review, just a first impressions vid. :) - Sport
Stunning scenery !
Got one too. Sad to see the Company wasn't Nuke Proof.
Congratulations! Cracking looking bike, and as you say, with the situation at CRC/Wiggle at the moment, there are some great deals to be had.
The only thing about derestricting the motor would be it will probably knacker your warranty, and they will know once a mechanic has connected a laptop to it!
Have fun!
Yep. Heard that. (Warranty) but think it will double the fun…
Risk vs reward. :/
You have amazing trails to ride. Glad it’s work8ng out well. Do you ride it to the trail or load it on the back of a car? I think derestricting is what everyone does!
I can ride to that from my house.
But better ones a car ride away. (Poldice is a good spot for jumps etc and that about 30 mins away)
I think mine locks at 25kmh here in Germany. But I'm not sure because I was already faster and didn't realize that it locks the motor
Yes I believe EU it is 25kph.
Of course on a downhill you wouldn’t notice it.
But my old man weak legs really notice it on the flat runs.
What do you, 'turn the battery on?'. Please explain👍🏿
There is a button on the battery that you can only access when you remove it.
@@biscuitsalive Do you mean the main power button on the battery. Or is there another button on the battery?
@@neekodevinchi only one button I believe.
But I was just surprised I had to remove battery for first activation of bike.
Those handlebars are set up wrong.
Possibly. But if you go and look how they set them up on the NUKEPROOF site. They are the same. (I have the 0 in same position)
I've never personally understood the logic in getting an electric bike, it seems to me to defeat the objective of owning a bicycle
I used to think that.
But put it this way, you get about the same amount of exercise, but travel twice as far and go twice as fast.
My legs were aching like a bitch the next morning. (I’m unfit these days)
So it’s clearly working me hard.
Plus I’m much more motivated to get out on the bike, so chances are I will get more exercise overall with a E bike.
