Welcome to my channel! This is a music reaction channel. For the longest time, I've loved creating content on the internet. I started off with a gaming channel right here on CZcams, which eventually turned into a Twitch gaming channel, but as time has gone on I've evolved into doing other things on CZcams. For years now I've wanted to create a music channel on CZcams, and recently just figured "why not?", so it’s time to give this a go! Give me any suggestion you have for music reactions, and I will do my best to get around to them. As music has fallen further out of my life, I figured this would be a great time to get reintroduced to music.

When Jeff Lynne from ELO stepped in and reignited Roy Orbison's music career, it was a match made in Heaven. Unfortunately, Orbison was on borrowed time, so what we did get from these two is now even more precious.
Love Roy Orbison💖 IMO "Only the Lonely," "Crying" and "Pretty Woman" are some of his greatest songs.

"Crying", "It's Over" and "Running Scared" are a few of his songs that really show off his vocal range. And yes, he started in the late fifties.
The range of Roy is amazing. Elvis was asked " what's it like to be the greatest singer"? Elvis replied" I don't know, you'd have to ask Roy that"
Roy has one of the most amazing voices ever. You really really really need to listen to his earlier stuff!!! This song isn’t really that typical of his huge talent. He did a live concert called “Black & White night” There were a lot of musicians with Roy including Bruce Springsteen who was obviously in awe of him. You need to also hear the Traveling Wilbury’s that he was in! (Handle with care….End of the Line) Will be waiting for you to listen to some typical Roy songs! Pretty Woman, Running Scared, Only the Lonely, crying, Leah, and MANY others!!! 😀

Orbison started back in the 50s and truly has one of the great voices of rock. This was a song from later in his life produced by the great Jeff Lynne of ELO.
He signed with Sun Records in 1956. Two years after Elvis.
Roy recorded a demo of this and was dead for a few years before it was cleaned up by ELO's Jeff Lynne and released in 1991 or so. Roy had been a member of the Traveling Wilburys with Lynne, and you might want to check them out as well.

The way Steve Perry was the voice so was Roy in his time. He is a legend. Did so many hits and then joined the supergroup
Cyndi Lauper did a cover of this song a few years after this.
Roy recorded it first in 1989, but Cyndi released it that same year. Roy’s wasn’t released until 1992, after his death.
@@leannmiller7153 Orbison recorded this song in 1987, NOT 1989. He died on December 6, 1988. His version was released in 1992.
I've read the song was written for Roy Orbison, who wasnt under contract with any record label at the time, but did a rough recording for the authors Steinberg/Kelly. (Pretenders, I'll stand by you) they did true colors for Cindy Lauper, she took this on with a great version. It does suit her voice. After Roy"s death it was mixed and released ..y'all know the dates better than I. Celine Dion did a brilliant cover. It's just a such a perfect song...but you can hear its intended singer was Roy Orbison.

@@leannmiller7153Actually John Waite recorded the song first in 1987 The song was meant for Roy but he didn’t have a record label so the song was given to John. John never released it but his studio recorded version is on CZcams.

Voice like no other. Elvis considered Roy his biggest competitor because of that sweetness.
Not generally a cover fan, but I urge you to listen to KD Lang's Unplugged version of Crying, and Cyndi Lauper's live version of I Drove All Night. Both are really more tributes to Roy's artistry, and KD and Roy were close friends.

While this is one of my favorite videos and Roy songs this is not representative of him! His classics will live on and be loved long after we are food for worms!

Roy has a great voice but really prefer the original version of the song!

Frankly? No, it´s not.
And people who do are lucky to survive that experience.
If someone crept into my room in the middle of the night without telling me about it beforehand and if that someone would wake me up to complete darkness and complete knowledge who they were I´d grab my gun and shoot.
