I am 65 in good shape but this spring I traded a CVO Limited 2022 Road Glide for a Pan America. We put 10K on that CVO before we traded it in. This PA is a phenomenal bike it’s fast it’s nimble and it’s comfortable. It gets great fuel economy and rides two up without any problem. It’s versatile you hit road construction with loose gravel (marbles) don’t panic just ride through it. I think Harley hit it out of the park with the PA and absolutely love ours 5k on it this summer already. No problems no issues just ride it. I still have my V-Rod Muscle which I think is Harleys best motor ever. But this is certainly in the running……it’s every bit as much a Harley as any bike branded Harley….

Amen!! that Porche motor was by the best motor ever produced... but because it wasent a single pin pos that kills itself with vibrations and old design.. it was never accepted.. such a shame.

      @LUKE-lq1gw I agree.
I had always hoped that Harley would have given us a V Rod powered sport tourer back then.
I would have been first in line for one.
That said thankfully they make the Pan Am
      I absolutely love it!!!!

@@paulwojnar2291 the plastic cam chain tensioners and fuel pump life have me a bit worried. But other than that. I think this motor finally helps HD break into other markets

There's a hill stop assist, that comes in handy, when stopped upward on a hill. When stopped, just squeeze the hand brake a couple of seconds, then release, and you'll find that you won't roll backward. Enjoy, I love my 2022 PAS.

I have a ‘22 PAS. Amazing bike. I bought it in September of ‘22 so last year was my first full year of riding, I went through a set of tires if that says anything.
I took it out with a few buddies last year and, sure it’s a big bike, but as long as you send it the bike will respond by doing whatever you want. By the end of our trip all of my buddies were impressed by the bike, because they know it makes me look like a better rider than I am!
I just added some risers, the heat deflectors that came on the ‘23, a quick shifter and some knobby tires! Stoked to give her some stories to tell this year!

    Congradulations on your 2023 PAS.
    I traded a 2019 Heritage Special that I loved for a 2022 PAS in May of 2022.
15 months and 17,000 miles later I dont regret it.
Though I wish I could have kept the Heritage it was impossible.
That being said the Pan Am is one of the best bikes I have ever owned.
I commute, Sport Tour and occaisional carve corners with it. It is very comfortable on long hauls too.
    Good luck with yours.

That’s awesome, I haven’t heard too many people say they regretted it! Oh and I’m definitely still trying to line the audio out also. The helmet lets in a lot of air and my mic isn’t great so it’s time for an upgrade. Thanks for watching!

I have owned SEVERAL bikes.... Hondas, Kawasaki, Suzuki... never once rode HD... always looked down at HD... Buddy got me to a demo ride... and I fell in love with the Pan am... and the HD dealer network. The network is UNMATCHED... the group and people can be toxic sometimes... but the bike is by far my favorite.

@LUKE-lq1gw there are jerks in every crowd unfortunately.
I only associate with unbiased avid riders who dont care what you ride just that you ride.
The void between HD riders and everyone else has narrowed alot in my 52 years of riding.
Unfortunately there are still people who think that the machine makes the man or woman and not just some HD riders..there is attitude in other ranks as well.
I do not ride nor associate with those people.
      Ride what you like.
      Its what its all about.
      Peace brother.

Nice video. I brought a 2022 Pan Am Special (green army paint) in March 2023, I think it is pretty cool, I ride almost everyday. It does have some problems, the right hand raidiator hose is too close to the front exhaust header, gets burnt, I shortened the hose by 1/4 inch, just cut it off and slid forward, and I rapped the headers to better manage the heat from them. The battery keeps not wanting to start the bike after 1 day not running, when it is cold. I have modified a few things. 1 - Noticed the front forks are 15mm up, so I pushed them to be flush, lifting the front end 15mm or 9/16 inch, makes the sidestand easier to use, increases ground clearance and doesn't affect handling. 2 - Fitted new footpegs, ones that are longer, wider and 20mm or 3/4 inch lower. 3 - New Sargent seats. 4 - Low tinted screen, with a small extension, seriously better than the high screen, with no buffetting around the helmet at all. 5 - Pazoma top box and rack. 6 - Barkbusters.
I really like the bike. I have a hotted up 1988 Lowrider with a sidecar, which I've had for 34 years, modified motor and suspension. I tend to keep bike for a long time.

On my 22 PAS chain has about 3/4 " if adjustment remaining.
Not bad for a liter plus bike.

The initial stretch is the largest even with drives belts.

I e ridden the PA a few times. I love the bike for the most part. I too have issues with leaving the traditional air cooled vtwin. I own a TC Street Glide and with the upgraded suspension it’s great for all day rides, but I’m sure the PA is much better still. I hope you enjoy it and hopefully we see a 6 month review from you.

It's got plenty of power and torque, compared with the LR, you're just riding it in the wrong mode. Set up a Custom mode, start with the Sport Mode mapping and change the suspension back to Normal for a more comfie setting. If that's not enough, then also change throttle response to 'Max'.
