Verb, your idle issue reminds me of a leaking intake manifold gasket I had on my Subaru Legacy. Smoke testing wouldn't show a leak, it would hold pressure and boost well, but under vacuum (like off throttle and coming to a stop) it would leak and act like a vacuum line leaking, i.e. run very lean and stumble. Maybe this helps you a bit. I found the leak doing a reverse smoke test, smoking outside the engine and see where its drawn in while snapping the throttle.
Man, that's great work, keep it up! I just want to tell you that you are missing something that looks like a strut bar, but it's OEM and it's connected to upper engine mount :D

Great content, Ive got a v50 t5 with a 5 cyl turbo engine. Very reliable machines , never had a issue with it. 200k miles and still runs like new. Where do you live ? Amazing wheater btw.
