- Finally! My apology video for my yuta vs toji video. Today, I will be covering the fight between Yuta Okkotsu, Ishigori Ryu, Uro Takako, Dhruv Lakdwalla and Special Grade Cursed Spirit Kurorushi. Jujutsu Kaisen is the in the midst of the Culling Game arc, we get a small mini arc with this Sendai Colony Arc; as the replacement for Gojo Satoru, Okkotsu Yuta is in over his head facing some of the strongest opponents we've seen since the Shibuya Incident. Will Yuta be able to replace Satoru Gojo as the strongest sorcerer and defend his friends? Survey says yes.

Correction. Yuta's mimicry doesn't come from consuming part of someone else's body. That was conjecture on Ishigori's part.
As of right now his mimicry seems pretty much unconditional. This of course makes him even more impressive.
That's also what Kenjaku stated when talking to Gojo as he was being sealed, that Yuta is able to copy techniques unconditionally. Although Kenjaku may not be an entirely reliable narrator he had no reason to lie in that moment and is probably the second most knowledgeable character when it comes to cursed techniques and cursed energy after Sukuna.
@@ddandymann Kenjaku stated that the unconditional mimicry of cursed techniques and unlimited cursed energy were due to Rika's soul being trapped. Now that shes free Rika the curse can no longer mimic techniques unconditionally and only has a massive pool of cursed energy not unlimited
@@RinReforged No he still has both those things. The difference, as clearly stated in the manga, is that he can only do so for a limited amount of time. In the time where he is fully connected to Rika he still has his full power.
Then why didn't he mimic limitless or curse spirit manipulation? Those are OP powers

Uro used sky manipulation to deflect Ryu's attack back at him and knock him down. Yuta took note of it, when he eventually realizes nothing he had could defeat Ryu, he did exactly what Uro did and won. Boy's a genius, but those two sure are special.
His battle I.Q is astounding.
He even split up Uro and Ryu, then engaged separately to keep his CT a secret. He literally bluffed them both. Showed them what seemed like his CT, shikigami (Rika) then uses Copy against Uro.
Then, he waits to use Copy again, until it's pivotal against Ryu.
He is amazing.

JJK 0 was my introduction to the series, Yuta easily became my favorite character thanks to his story of loss, self acceptance, and moving on. When I jumped on to the series later, I was very happy to see him established as second only to Gojo, so reading through Sendai colony was an absolute treat!

this analysis was so in-depth and great, i really loved how you touched on themes like reincarnation with commonly overlooked characters like dhruv and kurourushi, alongside the main stars of the arc like uro or ishigoori, since this idea applied to all of them in different ways based on their motivations and origins. i also love the idea of yuta’s selfishness to become a great sorcerer ironically coming from his need to save others and the burden he places on himself. great video, i’m very excited for the hakari vs. kashimo video to come out since they’re two of my favorite characters :)

Yuta is probably guaranteed second spot after Gojo. One simple reason. Yuta in the culling games is him after 1 year of training. In one year he went from bodying another special grade sorcerer to what we see from him in the games. He’s a monster.
People forgot cuz dhruv had like no screen time and it was downplayed in the manga. But dhruv was implied to be special grade cuz it said he conquered Japan in his time era. On top of that he’s said to of been one of the only sorcerers to reincarnate twice already. And yuta seemingly wasted him with minimal effort. People still don’t realize how much of a feat that is. Really hope the anime doesn’t downplay that scene like that manga.

I absolutely love how Gege was able to put such a unique spin on an ability as common as copying someone's power.
He can't just do it freely. There are caveats and limitations to his copying ability. But Yuta is more than capable enough to rarely need to access that extra well of power, so his limitations hardly matter.
Yuta is an easy top 3 JJK character for me. He's super powerful, but he's also got an incredibly interesting and grounded motivation. Yuta OGOATSU is a fitting nickname for sure.

@@itsjustvin7630 the original rika we see in volume 0 could unconditionally copy techniques, but yuta dispelled her curse at the end of the volume. the rika we see him use in the main story can only use the tech for 5 minutes.

I REALLY hope you're right about what Yuta. I want him to reach that level of being the strongest. I think you're also correct about his selfishness in wanting to handle everything himself. As for his copying technique we don't know the conditions. Ishigoori was wrong and only wildly speculating about the consumption of flesh. Considering we never saw him eat any flesh or drink blood from Inumaki then it clearly doesn't work that way. I think what's necessary is for him to UNDERSTAND the curse technique. When you think about it that'd also be pretty perfect because MANY sorcerers "show their cards" by explaining their technique in battle to boost its power by divulging how it works to their opponent. In Yuta's case that would then allow him to copy it.
Wait this is such a minor detail and I just noticed but when yuta blocked that blast he lost 2 fingers and grew them back very quickly like from page 12 to page 17 he grew back 2 fingers so he’s able to do high enough RCT to regrow limbs

Glad that you came around on realizing that Yuta v Toji isn't even an arguable fight but wondering why you thought different at any point.
Based on narrative:
Toji recognizes Gojos strength, notices that he'll need to wait until he's completely exhausted AND his guard is down otherwise he'd lose in a head on fight. From this he wins, however afterwards Gojo awakens and utilizes Purples a single time killing Toji.
Whereas, Awakened Gojo now with DE, 24/7 RCT & Infinity, more experience, etc considers Yuta the closest possible thing to him currently alive with the potential to be in his exact tier.
With this being said, why would Toji ever be placed in the same category as Yuta??????? Eye candy fights are cool and all, but the narrative is what's most important moreso sometimes than feats. It's like the instance of Gaara vs Lee, extremely blown out of proportion based on how the fight looked but the narrative basically shits on Lee and implies that he does next to nothing other than looking good for 5 minutes.
Toji definitely does more than what Lee achieved, but Yuta and Toji have always been blatantly on different levels.

I mean, Megumi compared a full power bloodlusted Toji using Playful Cloud to a casual, held back 3 Finger Sukuna
Yuji compared a Yuta who used no techniques, just Cursed Energy Reinforcement/Stat Amps + Rika grabbing him for one second to 15 Finger Sukuna. And this is after Yuji saw everything Sukuna did in Shibuya first person
By feats Toji only beat a tired and exhausted Teen Gojo after he snuck attack Gojo with a serious stab wound before the fight started, Teen Geto, and Dagon who is the weakest of the Disaster Curses
Only way for Toji to get upscaled at this point is for Maki to turn up in this arc and then be called = to or inferior to Toji still.
Toji is an assassin my friend not a fighter unlike gojo who's always protecting himself with CT yuta doesn't

Yuta is like a blue whale, despite being a modern animal. It surpasses majority of the ancient animals. The ancients like Ryu and Uro and Reggie are big but blue whales like Hakari, Megumi and Yuta are simply better.
Megumi would get clapped by Kashimo, and maybe even the pillars individually. He wouldn’t be able to redirect Ryu’s blast so he’d be doing a lot of running+ambush from the shadows.

Yeah, ngl your original Toji vs Yuta video was one of the few that I disagreed on you with. Tbh I think Toji tends to be overrated. Really nice video, I had never thought about the irony of Uro living in the sky and yet still being chained down before. I think Ishiguro is what Yuta could have become in a less eventful era and him melting Yuta's heart might be a part of what prevents Yuta from leaving this life unsatisfied.

It's ironic, then, that the larger message of Sendai is about the second chances of the dead. Each foe that Yuta Okkotsu battled was a demonstration of his resolve to be the world's savior, now taking a utilitarian stance instead of a utopian one. My favorite moment was watching him steal Takako's power as it is going to fundamentally warp how he fights forever.
Sky Manipulation is basically low-level reality warping as he can probably completely negate any perceivable by bending it. This was likely intended by Akutami as they wanted Yuta to demonstrate the *changing winds* in the Jujutsu World. More than anyone else, Yuta will tear down all previous constructs and make a truly beautiful world.
The Legend of the Dragoon battle OST in this makes the whole vid come together for me. Thumbs up!

6:59 I like your a approach to how you analyze the reincarnated sorcerers and curses. Uro wants freedom to satisfy her desires in the current world due to living a selfless life of assassin for a group that betrayed her for that. Ishigoori was a well off strong dude but like every other human he just wants to have fun which was never possible in his first life. Both have humanity to them like you said at 10:51. The old dude and the nightmare roach were just evil monsters killing and destroying for no reason because they could at 11:48 . 4:47 You explained perfectly why people love Yuta a lot especially ,he’s that main character you want in Almost every story that is strong but vulnerable and have righteous goals like saving people and defeating evil. His morality is also very balanced to killing when needed for pure evil and if possible defeating bad guys that aren’t completely evil and sparing them. Yuta going from scared but hard working to Strong and confident is amazing in the short time he been back in the story. Also his ability copy is the perfect embodiment of The Power Of Friendship!lol.

Looking forward to the Yuta v Hakari or Kashimo What If
Ishigori is my favorite of the culling game players introduced and I really wish that he will be guy that Yuta takes with him but he probably won't take anyone with him compared to the other characters. Megumi got Takaba and Hana while Yuji became an ally with Higuruma though he may not be back. Hakari got Bernard and Kashimo while Panda was there, they also ran into Nishimiya. Maki and Kamo found Daido and Miyo though it's unclear whether they will stay with them. Wish that Ishigori will be Yutas plus one but he doesn't need one either.
Who knows maybe Yuta will bring both Ryu and Uro

Hakari's physical stats are too high for Yuta's versatility to work imo
Between Yuta scaling to or above the speed of sound+ Projection Sorcery compared to Hakari scaling to lightning timing via dodging lightning to some extent in 186, keeping up with Kashimo (who scales to the lightning timing held back Hakari) while being nerfed by his electric CE in base in 187 then leveling up his speed to match Kashimo's amped speed in 188, and then absolutely blitzing Kashimo when trying for the first time at the end of 188...
And then Hakari's physical stats surpassing that of Kashimo's greatly when Kashimo is at least around Uro and Ishigori or stronger, but much more dangerous than them due to his fighting style and techniques yet still getting overpowered...(Keep in mind that in Ch 180 in the Official Viz Translation, Ishigori was stated to be able able to one shot a fully manifested Rika with a punch)
Yuta definitely got more versatility than anyone in the series besides Kenjaku, Geto and maybe Gojo, but the physical stat distance between Hakari and Yuta is arguable blitz and one shot levels
@@jocoolshow Until they actually show Yuta’s Domain expansion, I have my money on Hakari. Now my guess is that Yuta’s domain expansion will have some kind of copy element to it. If he is able to copy Hakari’s Death Gamble it’s a whole different story.

After reading manga again and watching the movie, they haven’t showed off what Yuta can do. I bet anything that he has Gojo’s infinity copied. When he is explaining to yuji that the six eyes reduces the burden on curse energy, he is talking about first hand experience about running out during limitless. Completely messes up my Hakari prediction if true.

Bro I'm with you. I was team Toji too till Yuta showed as his true power.
Yuta in the prequel manga/Movie 0 showed more feats than Toji. He beat Adult Geto at about 2/3 of his power (4000/6000 curses give or take), compared to Toji who's best feats are betting a much weaker teen Geto, a tired and exhausted teen Gojo who he snuck attack and injured before the fight started, and Dagon who was the weakest of the disaster curses
Granted, if Maki beats people stronger than them and is still considered = to or weaker than Toji, we can up scale him, but for now he doesn't have any feats or statements to put him that high
Unfortunately, statement wise, Megumi compared a full power Bloodlusted Toji to a held back, super casual 3 Finger Sukuna

Honestly for some reason it's always "the number two" characters that are the most fun power and narratively wise. Kokushibo, Endeavor, Kenjaku, Yuta, etc. Whether or not they're the lancer archetype to the hero or villain they're often fan favorites.
There was a big time skip but Yuta trained his hardest.
The "big" time skip is not even 1 year. December 2017 to November 2018

I hope Higuruma, Ryu, Takaba and Kashima make it our alive from the games...They really would be very great additions to JJT School....Really would like to see them team up with Yuuji, Choso, Todo, Yuki, Yuta, Maki, Megumi and Hakari that would be a beast of a team...Really Bringing in for the Golden Age of Jujutsu Scorcery

I love Toji as much as the next guy, but after seeing all that Yuta could do. Along with his teamwork with Rika, and the sheer versatility he can bring to bear. I feel it would be like Gojo vs Toji round 2 all over again.
Much as I love and respect Toji and his abilities and feats, even I can admit that trained Yuta would be way to much for Toji to chew on. Keep up the good work man!

Let's be all honest Yuta is like Extremely Broken in terms of power scaling. Dude was just a normal dude without connections in Jujitsu not to mention has 0 broken Physical body like Itadori but he is instantly AT THE PEAK of Cursed Sorcerers. He is literally Insane not to mention every battle is just a plus buff to him lmao.
