One thing I hate the most about the newest seasons is that we never see the ninjas in their pyjamas anymore. Nowadays they sleep while wearing backpacks and the metal shoulder thing. How in the world do you sleep while wearing a metal shoulder thing??
After Hands of Time, there’s rarely any mention of Kai and Nya’s parents. It’s weird considering they would want to make up for lost time. Season 4 to 6 will always be prime Ninjago!!!!
Season 8 is Goated tho. Great redesigns, improved cinematography/ choreography in fights. Incredible music, Really good tension and some decent story and twists.

Zane's father wasn't forgotten he died in between season 2 and season 3, then he met Wu in a flashback in season 8 which explained how Zane got his Ice powers.
Three things that annoy me are Lloyd not being able to use the other ninjas powers anymore The elemental dragons being forgotten about Ronin seemingly not existing anymore And kai complaing about not having powers when he literally owns a sword that creates fire
The golden weapons lost their power after the Tornado of Creation in March of Oni. The Golden Weapons were only a power boost. Not their actual elemental power.
If they have the golden weapons why dont they use it for vehicles or true potential And before you say they lost their powers Explain why its still dangerous to have all four contact echother
There are stuff that annoy me but these aren't it. Lloyd can't use the other powers because he split them in season 3 in the temple of light. Elemental dragons, and airjitzu were left in season 7 as the ninja would be too op, which can be annoying but makes sense. Ronin literally appeared in season 14, and the golden weapons are useless since they are dispowered. And that's 4 things not 3. People like you are the reason why Ninjago is looked at as a kids show

The animation change was actually very good, the 3D models have more texture, the stuff like the CyberHarumi fight employs amazing squash and stretch and smear flames, and the old art style kind of looked cheap, and the character's torso especially acted very rubbery.
I kind of like the redesigns because they gave all of the ninja their own new and completely original hairpieces. I just feel like it added a little bit to their personality
I dislike all but Lloyd and Nya’s redesigns, Nya used to look like an old lady with bad hair, so I like her new one, and if you removed Lloyd’s weird eyes his hair and face look way better than pre s8
To clarify, the plot and designs inconsistencies in the show do not come from time being rewritten. If time travel was the cause, all of Ninjago history would have been rewritten, tou can't defeat Morro, for example, without Airjutzu. But that's not the case because everything in Ninjago history still occurred the exact same way it had always occurred as evidenced by the Ninja remembering all their past adventures and painted evidence of their past adventures (the murals in the monastery show Arijutzu and Lloyd has dreams where he remembers using his elemental dragon). Something clearly happened off-screen between seasons 7 and 8 and that caused the Ninja to lose their ability to use Airjutzu and their elemental dragon. The show should have explained how the powers were lost, but this is a problem with the writing, not because of time travel. This "time being rewritten rumor" is also intrinsically with the deigns changes, but all those visual changes can easily be explained away, they simply come from the 1 year timeskip. They just got older and now they look a bit different, just like how everyone in real life looks different as they age. And we again have proof of the Ninja getting older as the cause since the Ninja all still have their old deigns in flashbacks, photographs, and memories. This entire rumor started because Cole made that joke about looking "totally different and not even knowing it" but that was just a meta joke for the audience, not an explanation. The ninja do know that they look different and that they have lost powers. They look at photos with their old designs and make make references in the show about their old powers. It's not time being rewritten, that's just the the plot taking their powers away off screen and them getting older.
I think because master wu disappeared in season 7 in time the ninjas felt weak and if the elemental master is scared they can’t summon their dragon. And after season 7 they got many new weaknesses which stops them from using their dragons. In season 4 zane could summon his dragon because he defeated his weakness and then he was able to. But after wu they got new weaknesses and they felt weak. So thats the explanation from me. I dont know if this is true its just a theory. But airjitzu is really unknown. Ive saw a comment where it said that airjitzu is dark magic. But i dont know.
One thing I never understood was that Chen needed all elements for his spell, but literally the next season we met a new element he couldn't have gotten, so it shouldn't have worked. Oh and Ninjagos Police changing whether there fighting for or against the ninjas
One thing I hate mainly is that most of the shows main features of the ninja have little to no explanation or just never looked at again in later seasons like their true potiental and before you say, " oh, the ninja can only use that kind of power once" actually in season 1 after everyone unlocked their potential they could use that power again like Jay using his again when him and Zane were trying to escape from the great devourer, he used it to fly up the broken building, Cole used his again when Kai and Garmadon were fighting in the closed room and Cole had to use that power to kick open that door. The only people who don't use their true potiental form again are Zane, Nya, and Kai, if you were wondering why I didn't include Lloyd it's because his golden ninja form is technically his true potiental, he unlocked the golden dragon in SW when he struck the bell and his golden ninja form and his golden dragon are two separate powers he can use, even though I think his golden dragon is sort of like an add on power to his golden form. Another thing they don't focus on is that the ninja in s3 had to depend on Lloyd to get their individual elemental powers but it is revealed in s7 that elemental power is shared through blood line which means Jay's power is the result of the Lightning Master (female) and Jay's real father Prince Donagan (I think that is his movie name) having a child which is now known as Jay, this also applies to the other ninja and their parents. A finale thing I want to talk about is basically all of s3 ending, first let's talk about Zane's power, I firmly believe that after Zane gave Pixal half of his heart source, Zane's heart could only provide so much for him, like him still operating and still retaining most of his ninja skills (unfortunately not spinjitzu). So when the ninja were using Zane's heart as a power source for the rocket Zane said something like: "I can't keep this up forever, my power that was once limitless feels so limited now" I don't remember exactly how he said it but just rewatch the episode again to get a better understanding. But what this basically means is that Zane's source was limitless (since it did contain all the elemental energy the Ice master transferred) but when Zane split it, it halved his power supply so now he couldn't put out the same amount of power he used to have. The second thing I want to talk about is the elemental shields the ninjas used to fly back to Earth. Lloyd was the first one to mention it so he must have seen it before, but where? Well this is kind of a theory but in s1 when Kai got his true potiental he used this flying bubble in order to save Lloyd out of the volcano. It looks exactly like the Elemental shields so it would make perfect sense. The last thing I want to talk about is Zane vs the Golden Master, Zane literally 1v1'd a being that had the power of the first spinjiztsu master but how? I also have another theory that is connected to the true potientals. When Zane was holding on to the golden armour it was literally canon that Zane was actually absorbing the energy from the armor and using it against the Overlord. Due to this immense power Zane obviously couldn't handle all of it and his heart was overloading and was about to implode. Now you may be asking "how is this connected to the true potiental" its just another theory of mine that when Zane shot out the Icebeam when he was glowing a light blue and literally created a blizzard so intense it could freeze anything it touches, that was him in his true potiental. Of course he is not glowing a bright white and transparent but when he was in that form he used the icebeam straight from his heart like he did when he was fighting that ice beast monster thing when he gone true potiental and he was talking about protecting his friends like he did when he sacrificed himself. Holy moly I didn't expect to write a whole book about this but I guess I overanalyze a lego show lol.
Wildbrain has great animation, S11 was kinda a rough start but ever since they've proved they can make ninjago really good looking, i love how the clothes and hair have more texture rather than with Wilfilm that made everything look plastic, the only thing i think Wilfilm is a lot better in than Wildbrain is, is the lighting, but hey, give it a few more years and i bet Wildbrain will only get better

The Redesigns were for a new generation of Ninjago due to half the the fans not even existing when the show first aired. The Forgotten thing such as Airjitzu was scrapped due to the Ninja being too "powerful" In almost every situation they could use airjitzu. it was a cool concept when it came out, but I understand why they would limit it or remove it. Due to airing and Netflix being rubbish I was 5 seasons behind which was terrible
No Generic Stud, you are right that the new designs are better than the old designs. I will not fight you because I agree with you. The initial backlash about the design change came form kids who didn't know how to process change and couldn't articulate their emotions, so a lot of them overrated to their favorite characters looking different. And to be clear, I'm not knocking on kids here, but it's a fact that a lot of Ninjago fans are kids and kids are less emotionally mature and they tend to overreact. Older fans should recognize this and help these guys deal with processing change. That's why a lot of fans have mellowed out about the deigns changes as they got older and got used to it. And it's always fine to dislike the changes, a lot of people aren't kids over reacting, they have legit reasonings for disliking them. But I think the deigns changes were good overall. They gave each Ninja a distant silhouette (a hallmark of good character designs) and the best cartoons always redesign their character to show the passage of time. Think about Dragon Ball, the Clone Wars, Avatar, and more, they all had character redesigns to show character growth and maturation. By redesigning the characters, Ninjago is joining an exclusive club of cartoons that care enough about their character to let them change and grow up while still retaining the core personalities and traits that made those characters beloved in the first place.
I just hate how some voice actors assumed they got new roles for the characters. The voice actor of Jay now has this horrible, annoying high pitched voice, making up excuses that "Jay just wanted to be cooler but now he's used to show the real version of himself" and blah blah blah. Jay uses to look so mature, but with that curly hair and nerd-like face, they changed his personality a bit *much*
Also, Cole. Cole used to be a responsible guy, strong, somewhat funny but specially brave, putting his life at risk to safe others. Now his personality is like those long haired guys everyone simps for: they're cool, but just chill enough to be cool. Literally nothing else And what's up with Zane's "complicated vocabulary"? Like he could just turn "a kid kicked the ball" into "the 6 years old infant has just thrown the sphere from to ground!" And it's just UGHHH
4:32 About that, I remember that when Skybound came out they aired every single episode in my country consistently except for the last one, just this year I found out how that season ends but it really didn't matter cause it didn't have any real effect on the show

In episode 1 season 2 Kai tries to use his fire but can't he remarks that the weapons and most of their elemental powers are gone.
From a marketing standpoint, kids shows are meant to make toys for the kids. If the ninja could still fly by airjitsu and their elemental dragons, then they would only need to buy one set. I’ve noticed the “newer” seasons that some “LEGO” parts are being reused, ex Nya and Pixels hair being the same just different colors, also more sets that the show offers... So yeah I think the writers were just like, “whoopsie, gotta fix this.”

Things lego fans hate: Stepping on the thing they are fans of. Not gonna lie. I am one of the people who hate the new style. The re designs is what I hate most about ninjago.
Season 1: Got their og suits because they needed suits Dx: got it when they rode dragons?!?! Where did they get these suits from? Its not just their pilot suits that randomly change into this when they use a dragon because cole used this in season 4 and whelp no dragon to be seen. these are actual suits and where did they get them from. ZX: Made to better combat the serpentine with armor and tools, and we see the ninja receive them. Season 2: Kimono: Their og suits but transformed with temple of light magic. (But then how come we see their ZX suits in future seasons and Jay even wears it a lot in season 4) Season 3: Got their new robes to be unrecognizable to cameras controlled by overlord. Which makes no sense cuz they literally removed the top part of the mask making it EASIER for someone to tell who they are but whatever. Stone Armour: Is just their suits with stone armor over them, but that does not explain how lloyd had this suit like 2 or 3 episodes before everyone else did and how did he get his og s3 suit back for season 4? Season 4: I liked how they used old suits till they got their new ones, seasons should do this more. Tournament Robes; got them from doing the tournament Jungle Suits:???? They were still in the tournament when they had these it makes no sense, itd make sense if they got them specifically for the island jungle challenge because youd need better equipped robes for that environment but why did skylar have one from episode 1 and why did Zane have one too?!?!? Season 5: The deepstone armor protects them from ghosts but why did they have this before they even knew ghosts existed?!?!? itd be fine if they started with like the jungle suits and moved to these in like episode 2 or 3 but they literally had these before the ghosts even attacked what?!!??!? Season 6: You get the airjitsu suit after doing airjitsu but how did nya randomly get hers in the lighthouse?!?! Like WHAT?!?! Does it just APPEAR ON YOU?!?! And if so why didnt it happen to the ninja in season 5 then1?!?!? From here on out new suits make no sense and happen for no reason other than to sell toys besides I guess the prime empire suits and master of the mountain and seabound suits
The ninjas didn't forget about their true potentials, as Zane mentioned at the beginning of Episode 22 The Last Voyage, the Ninjas cant use their elemental powers as they need their Golden Weapons in order to do so lol.

Since March of Oni for some odd reason they went with the 11 minute format which... was probably dumber than the "Don't want the Ninja to be too OP so we got rid of Airjitzu and the dragons"
I really like the new designs for the ninja.... ALOT. Jays, Nya, and Lloyd for example look much better. Jay used to be so plain, but now he has freckles! Lloyd's new hair fits him and is more unique then his last style. And I never liked Nya's bob cut, the ponytail is much better in my opinion. Cole and Zane look similar, but Kai's styles I liked both equally the same.
What really irritates me is the fact that it’s so difficult to watch any of it without Netflix in the US. My folks ditched Netflix after the whole Cuties thing, but for the love of cheese, I can’t find it ANYWHERE ELSE.
You need to rewatch ninjago because you seem like you didn’t watch carefully. The ninjas had their powers always inside them. They got it in season 3 because Lloyd. But they always had it inside them. So yea thats it

Remember after Garmadon fled with the Golden Weapons in after "Rise of the Snakes",in one of the episodes Kai tried to use his elemental fire power but only small flame fragments were released from his hand. It's also explained when Kai got his powers stolen in "The Fire Chapter".In "The Ice Chapter",we are told that elemental power comes from within. It cannot be stolen completely. So their powers ,even after losing the Golden Weapons, were always inside of them,just that they were limited.Lloyd sharing his Golden power helped to enhance their elemental powers.

The design change was made so that fans that came because of the movie will still have something they actually know. Airjitzu and Elemtal Dragons were taken out because they wanted to make sure they do not get to overpowered, to strong.
an inconsistency i noticed was in season 1 of ninjago. So basically pythor steals the flute but in like 2 episodes the flute is seen in a cabinet when its still stolen.
Not only that Jay’s character became more childish. Maybe it’s just me but he sounds different and acts weird. I also hate that they turned Ronin into a villain after all that character development.

The golden weapons lost their power after the Tornado of Creation in March of Oni. The Golden Weapons were only a power boost. Not their actual elemental power.
If they have the golden weapons why dont they use it for vehicles or true potential

There are stuff that annoy me but these aren't it. Lloyd can't use the other powers because he split them in season 3 in the temple of light. Elemental dragons, and airjitzu were left in season 7 as the ninja would be too op, which can be annoying but makes sense. Ronin literally appeared in season 14, and the golden weapons are useless since they are dispowered. And that's 4 things not 3. People like you are the reason why Ninjago is looked at as a kids show

The animation change was actually very good, the 3D models have more texture, the stuff like the CyberHarumi fight employs amazing squash and stretch and smear flames, and the old art style kind of looked cheap, and the character's torso especially acted very rubbery.
Oh my God. They're LEGO figures dude. Believe me or not, adding way too much texture makes them even more unrealistic than they should be

To clarify, the plot and designs inconsistencies in the show do not come from time being rewritten.
If time travel was the cause, all of Ninjago history would have been rewritten, tou can't defeat Morro, for example, without Airjutzu. But that's not the case because everything in Ninjago history still occurred the exact same way it had always occurred as evidenced by the Ninja remembering all their past adventures and painted evidence of their past adventures (the murals in the monastery show Arijutzu and Lloyd has dreams where he remembers using his elemental dragon).
Something clearly happened off-screen between seasons 7 and 8 and that caused the Ninja to lose their ability to use Airjutzu and their elemental dragon. The show should have explained how the powers were lost, but this is a problem with the writing, not because of time travel.
This "time being rewritten rumor" is also intrinsically with the deigns changes, but all those visual changes can easily be explained away, they simply come from the 1 year timeskip. They just got older and now they look a bit different, just like how everyone in real life looks different as they age. And we again have proof of the Ninja getting older as the cause since the Ninja all still have their old deigns in flashbacks, photographs, and memories.
This entire rumor started because Cole made that joke about looking "totally different and not even knowing it" but that was just a meta joke for the audience, not an explanation. The ninja do know that they look different and that they have lost powers. They look at photos with their old designs and make make references in the show about their old powers. It's not time being rewritten, that's just the the plot taking their powers away off screen and them getting older.

I think because master wu disappeared in season 7 in time the ninjas felt weak and if the elemental master is scared they can’t summon their dragon. And after season 7 they got many new weaknesses which stops them from using their dragons. In season 4 zane could summon his dragon because he defeated his weakness and then he was able to. But after wu they got new weaknesses and they felt weak. So thats the explanation from me. I dont know if this is true its just a theory.
But airjitzu is really unknown. Ive saw a comment where it said that airjitzu is dark magic. But i dont know.

One thing I never understood was that Chen needed all elements for his spell, but literally the next season we met a new element he couldn't have gotten, so it shouldn't have worked. Oh and Ninjagos Police changing whether there fighting for or against the ninjas

One thing I hate mainly is that most of the shows main features of the ninja have little to no explanation or just never looked at again in later seasons like their true potiental and before you say, " oh, the ninja can only use that kind of power once" actually in season 1 after everyone unlocked their potential they could use that power again like Jay using his again when him and Zane were trying to escape from the great devourer, he used it to fly up the broken building, Cole used his again when Kai and Garmadon were fighting in the closed room and Cole had to use that power to kick open that door. The only people who don't use their true potiental form again are Zane, Nya, and Kai, if you were wondering why I didn't include Lloyd it's because his golden ninja form is technically his true potiental, he unlocked the golden dragon in SW when he struck the bell and his golden ninja form and his golden dragon are two separate powers he can use, even though I think his golden dragon is sort of like an add on power to his golden form. Another thing they don't focus on is that the ninja in s3 had to depend on Lloyd to get their individual elemental powers but it is revealed in s7 that elemental power is shared through blood line which means Jay's power is the result of the Lightning Master (female) and Jay's real father Prince Donagan (I think that is his movie name) having a child which is now known as Jay, this also applies to the other ninja and their parents. A finale thing I want to talk about is basically all of s3 ending, first let's talk about Zane's power, I firmly believe that after Zane gave Pixal half of his heart source, Zane's heart could only provide so much for him, like him still operating and still retaining most of his ninja skills (unfortunately not spinjitzu). So when the ninja were using Zane's heart as a power source for the rocket Zane said something like: "I can't keep this up forever, my power that was once limitless feels so limited now" I don't remember exactly how he said it but just rewatch the episode again to get a better understanding. But what this basically means is that Zane's source was limitless (since it did contain all the elemental energy the Ice master transferred) but when Zane split it, it halved his power supply so now he couldn't put out the same amount of power he used to have. The second thing I want to talk about is the elemental shields the ninjas used to fly back to Earth. Lloyd was the first one to mention it so he must have seen it before, but where? Well this is kind of a theory but in s1 when Kai got his true potiental he used this flying bubble in order to save Lloyd out of the volcano. It looks exactly like the Elemental shields so it would make perfect sense. The last thing I want to talk about is Zane vs the Golden Master, Zane literally 1v1'd a being that had the power of the first spinjiztsu master but how? I also have another theory that is connected to the true potientals. When Zane was holding on to the golden armour it was literally canon that Zane was actually absorbing the energy from the armor and using it against the Overlord. Due to this immense power Zane obviously couldn't handle all of it and his heart was overloading and was about to implode. Now you may be asking "how is this connected to the true potiental" its just another theory of mine that when Zane shot out the Icebeam when he was glowing a light blue and literally created a blizzard so intense it could freeze anything it touches, that was him in his true potiental. Of course he is not glowing a bright white and transparent but when he was in that form he used the icebeam straight from his heart like he did when he was fighting that ice beast monster thing when he gone true potiental and he was talking about protecting his friends like he did when he sacrificed himself. Holy moly I didn't expect to write a whole book about this but I guess I overanalyze a lego show lol.
Wildbrain has great animation, S11 was kinda a rough start but ever since they've proved they can make ninjago really good looking, i love how the clothes and hair have more texture rather than with Wilfilm that made everything look plastic, the only thing i think Wilfilm is a lot better in than Wildbrain is, is the lighting, but hey, give it a few more years and i bet Wildbrain will only get better

The Redesigns were for a new generation of Ninjago due to half the the fans not even existing when the show first aired. The Forgotten thing such as Airjitzu was scrapped due to the Ninja being too "powerful" In almost every situation they could use airjitzu. it was a cool concept when it came out, but I understand why they would limit it or remove it. Due to airing and Netflix being rubbish I was 5 seasons behind which was terrible

No Generic Stud, you are right that the new designs are better than the old designs. I will not fight you because I agree with you.
The initial backlash about the design change came form kids who didn't know how to process change and couldn't articulate their emotions, so a lot of them overrated to their favorite characters looking different. And to be clear, I'm not knocking on kids here, but it's a fact that a lot of Ninjago fans are kids and kids are less emotionally mature and they tend to overreact. Older fans should recognize this and help these guys deal with processing change.
That's why a lot of fans have mellowed out about the deigns changes as they got older and got used to it. And it's always fine to dislike the changes, a lot of people aren't kids over reacting, they have legit reasonings for disliking them.
But I think the deigns changes were good overall. They gave each Ninja a distant silhouette (a hallmark of good character designs) and the best cartoons always redesign their character to show the passage of time. Think about Dragon Ball, the Clone Wars, Avatar, and more, they all had character redesigns to show character growth and maturation. By redesigning the characters, Ninjago is joining an exclusive club of cartoons that care enough about their character to let them change and grow up while still retaining the core personalities and traits that made those characters beloved in the first place.

I just hate how some voice actors assumed they got new roles for the characters. The voice actor of Jay now has this horrible, annoying high pitched voice, making up excuses that "Jay just wanted to be cooler but now he's used to show the real version of himself" and blah blah blah. Jay uses to look so mature, but with that curly hair and nerd-like face, they changed his personality a bit *much*
Also, Cole. Cole used to be a responsible guy, strong, somewhat funny but specially brave, putting his life at risk to safe others. Now his personality is like those long haired guys everyone simps for: they're cool, but just chill enough to be cool. Literally nothing else
And what's up with Zane's "complicated vocabulary"? Like he could just turn "a kid kicked the ball" into "the 6 years old infant has just thrown the sphere from to ground!" And it's just UGHHH
Season 13 reminded me why I fell in love with Ninjago in the first place.

In episode 1 season 2 Kai tries to use his fire but can't he remarks that the weapons and most of their elemental powers are gone.

From a marketing standpoint, kids shows are meant to make toys for the kids. If the ninja could still fly by airjitsu and their elemental dragons, then they would only need to buy one set. I’ve noticed the “newer” seasons that some “LEGO” parts are being reused, ex Nya and Pixels hair being the same just different colors, also more sets that the show offers... So yeah I think the writers were just like, “whoopsie, gotta fix this.”
It felt like ninjago just stopped airing on cartoon network right after the episode where the time twins made master wu into a infant or something

Season 1: Got their og suits because they needed suits
Dx: got it when they rode dragons?!?! Where did they get these suits from? Its not just their pilot suits that randomly change into this when they use a dragon because cole used this in season 4 and whelp no dragon to be seen. these are actual suits and where did they get them from.
ZX: Made to better combat the serpentine with armor and tools, and we see the ninja receive them.
Season 2:
Kimono: Their og suits but transformed with temple of light magic. (But then how come we see their ZX suits in future seasons and Jay even wears it a lot in season 4)
Season 3:
Got their new robes to be unrecognizable to cameras controlled by overlord. Which makes no sense cuz they literally removed the top part of the mask making it EASIER for someone to tell who they are but whatever.
Stone Armour: Is just their suits with stone armor over them, but that does not explain how lloyd had this suit like 2 or 3 episodes before everyone else did and how did he get his og s3 suit back for season 4?
Season 4: I liked how they used old suits till they got their new ones, seasons should do this more.
Tournament Robes; got them from doing the tournament
Jungle Suits:???? They were still in the tournament when they had these it makes no sense, itd make sense if they got them specifically for the island jungle challenge because youd need better equipped robes for that environment but why did skylar have one from episode 1 and why did Zane have one too?!?!?
Season 5: The deepstone armor protects them from ghosts but why did they have this before they even knew ghosts existed?!?!? itd be fine if they started with like the jungle suits and moved to these in like episode 2 or 3 but they literally had these before the ghosts even attacked what?!!??!?
Season 6: You get the airjitsu suit after doing airjitsu but how did nya randomly get hers in the lighthouse?!?! Like WHAT?!?! Does it just APPEAR ON YOU?!?! And if so why didnt it happen to the ninja in season 5 then1?!?!?
From here on out new suits make no sense and happen for no reason other than to sell toys besides I guess the prime empire suits and master of the mountain and seabound suits
The ninjas didn't forget about their true potentials, as Zane mentioned at the beginning of Episode 22 The Last Voyage, the Ninjas cant use their elemental powers as they need their Golden Weapons in order to do so lol.
But in season 3 they went to the temple of light and got pure elemental powers

I really like the new designs for the ninja.... ALOT. Jays, Nya, and Lloyd for example look much better. Jay used to be so plain, but now he has freckles! Lloyd's new hair fits him and is more unique then his last style. And I never liked Nya's bob cut, the ponytail is much better in my opinion. Cole and Zane look similar, but Kai's styles I liked both equally the same.
I miss the old designs especially Jay used to be funnier and had an the eyebrow cut.
What really irritates me is the fact that it’s so difficult to watch any of it without Netflix in the US. My folks ditched Netflix after the whole Cuties thing, but for the love of cheese, I can’t find it ANYWHERE ELSE.

The ninjas had their powers always inside them. They got it in season 3 because Lloyd. But they always had it inside them. So yea thats it

Remember after Garmadon fled with the Golden Weapons in after "Rise of the Snakes",in one of the episodes Kai tried to use his elemental fire power but only small flame fragments were released from his hand.
It's also explained when Kai got his powers stolen in "The Fire Chapter".In "The Ice Chapter",we are told that elemental power comes from within. It cannot be stolen completely.
So their powers ,even after losing the Golden Weapons, were always inside of them,just that they were limited.Lloyd sharing his Golden power helped to enhance their elemental powers.

My opinion is that the old ones are better but people have opinions
The design change was made so that fans that came because of the movie will still have something they actually know.
Airjitzu and Elemtal Dragons were taken out because they wanted to make sure they do not get to overpowered, to strong.
an inconsistency i noticed was in season 1 of ninjago. So basically pythor steals the flute but in like 2 episodes the flute is seen in a cabinet when its still stolen.
Not only that Jay’s character became more childish. Maybe it’s just me but he sounds different and acts weird. I also hate that they turned Ronin into a villain after all that character development.
I get that he’s morally grey but this wouldn’t be the type of crime he would do. I don’t know I could be wrong.
