- Chanel's iconic video directed by Ridley Scott with music by Vangelis.
The narration by Len Cariou ( not John Forsythe ) has been taken out and the sound quality improved. This video is known as 'Share the Fantasy', 'Blue sky' and in French 'Invitation Au Reve' and 'La Piscene'.
Perhaps the finest short, short film ever made
Nothing makes me want to time travel and return to 1979 more than this commercial. Simply intoxicating. Just as intoxicating in 2024 as it was 45 years ago. Timeless perfection….indeed “share the fantasy”. Thanks Ridley Scott, Channel and Vangelis.
Geez!!..I remember this as a kid. Only one of the few things that would stop me dead in my tracks in front of the TV!
Absolutely 💯
I remember watching this when it aired on T.V., i new it would be a very special commercial; so beautiful.
I remember this ad _vividly_ from my youth, so striking and unique. Didn't know who did the music until today. And it makes total sense because it screams Blade Runner.
Yes
Also, Ridley Scott, the director of this commercial, was also the director and visual creator of Blade Runner.
@@davegannon3280 That's funny, I mean, it's such a big connection to the movie: its director and its composer were involved somehow in the same commercial a few years before BR was made.
Perhaps my all-time favorite ad! I'd also heard that it was John Huston's voice on one of them.
This. IS. THEE. BEST posting of this commercial EVER!
I've been in LOVE with this song and commercial since 1979! THANK YOU for posting this!
Outstanding pool commercial!!
I like the music
Vangelis
The music is from Vangelis' album 'China,' the song is 'The Little Fete,' just without the poem lyrics.
Share the fantasy.
Thanks for the vídeo Kane :)
2 thumbs....way up!
Here’s MY tribute:

Where can you find this version that without the vocals???
The narration is NOT John Forsythe. It is Len Cariou.
Is that right? I guess with that name you'd know! I got a bad reference somewhere. Sorry I'll correct that Heather. My apologies.
Lol, I always thought it was Leonard Nemoy.
@@dcaseng I am made of golden sunlight and I will ...burn baby burn.
You are ALL wrong. It was John Huston. (Does no one have access to Google?)
@@rebeccar2777 You're right Rebecca....John Huston
I thought the narrator was John Huston
