  • Surfers and sea kayakers playing in the Severn Bore along the River Severn over the weekend. The high tides created what is the extremely rare Severn Bore phenomenon - meaning it becomes the site of fantastic surfing waves and one of the biggest on record for the past two decades.

    Is it just one wave? If so I feel bad for the people who don't manage to catch it in this video!

      If you have planned things right you can get out of the water back into the car and then jump back in the water further upstream.

    Is this something to do with the equinox?

    • @Showsni
      @Showsni Před 2 lety

      Yes - the bore occurs year round at spring tides, but is biggest near an equinox.
