- Surfers and sea kayakers playing in the Severn Bore along the River Severn over the weekend. The high tides created what is the extremely rare Severn Bore phenomenon - meaning it becomes the site of fantastic surfing waves and one of the biggest on record for the past two decades.

0:38 Ahh the old legs in kicking thin air style, haven't seen that since the 60s in Hawaii
L O L
Life isnt real
Most surfers do it. It's automatic, for some peculiar reason
Great video!!
Thanks Duncan
Is it just one wave? If so I feel bad for the people who don't manage to catch it in this video!
If you have planned things right you can get out of the water back into the car and then jump back in the water further upstream.
The music is great..
it looks sick!
Is this something to do with the equinox?
Yes - the bore occurs year round at spring tides, but is biggest near an equinox.
Waters always level ? Borris haha
Hello!
Newport Beach on any weekend
Not a fresh water river though is it, Newport BEACH.
@@dantaylor7344 *Not really as poo pooed as Newpuke Belch.*
@@tropocal2343 That's a sanitary issue not a technicality
@@dantaylor7344 *I'm just fucking around, but if referencing River Jetties, that would make it a "technicality".*
@@tropocal2343 But we're not referring to Jetties are we? SO.................
Biggest in 20 years? Looks typical time.
Hello my Twyfordian pupils
Definitely a bore ! Help tidal bore research in Russia with a small donation on "Ekosea Mascarusse project"
If I could swim I'd head up to Severn right now and fick gov guidelines lol.. looks pukka..envious is appropriate word 😀
