I don’t think there anything wrong if you know how to get it out. It’s wrong it’s just a matter of opinion.
So surely you should be saying this is how I do my fades instead of wrong ?

Nothing wrong with making a hard line, as long as you don't press down the trimmer stupidly hard like you did..
