  • This video is the long awaited cursory review of the InMotion V13 Challenger. Although it's been several months in the making, it allowed me to spend several weeks putting the Challenger through the rigors. It further served to uncover any possible issues that may crop up that hasty reviews may not be privy to due to time constraints.
    Shout-out to FreeMotion Shop for allowing me the opportunity to test the InMotion V13 Challenger. Anyone interested in purchasing an InMotion V13 Challenger can click on the link below to be directed to FreeMotion Shop.

      I try and make it a relatable and an entertaining story line that has some viable info for the average person instead of a video following the traditional plot of ONLY talking about the bullet points the manufacturer put out. There's so many of those out there, I feel it would be pointless of me talking about them. Besides, you guys., "I believe" want something different. That's why I cringe at times when I go the unboxing route. That method of putting it in a video is so overly used and a rookie move that I try and add a different approach to it.
      I know that was a long winded response., if we were physically talking that is. Lol

      Yeah I'm the same. What lets the V13 down is the suspension, I just saw the update from U-Stride about a suspension failure

    • @VeeEUC
      @VeeEUC  Před rokem +4

      @@TopperJordan That suspension was damaged prior to him getting the wheel. it started when Marty broke the damping. Then The Black Cobra had issues with it and now UStride. That wheel's been through sone things. If several other people who are riding around on a V13 complains about the same thing, then that would be a concern, but that one wheel with the suspension issue is a non-factor and it shouldn't detract from it. Plus, I don't know what's with UStride, he has a propensity for damaging wheels.

    • @TopperJordan
      @TopperJordan Před rokem +1

      @@VeeEUC Ah I didn't realise it had been broken by Marty previously, that would have made it weaker. Still I feel if Inmotion had gone for a setup comparable to the Sherman S that incident might not have happened and that wheel would be a sure fire winner, and I would have had a much harder time choosing the Sherman S over the V13. I have to agree with you about U-Stride, first the S20 and now the V13... he has some bad luck testing wheels atm but it happens, but most importantly he managed to walk away unscathed.

    My V12HT is the biggest and heaviest wheel I am willing to have. EUC should be practical (V12 is super awesome to live with). I really liked the good old times with Begode RS or Nikola... If I will need high performance wheel my choice will be Sherman-S or EX30. Much better to ride compare to this V13 monster :).

Everything's good, up to latest tech & makes for a great commuter + rec toy but it does not excite me. 50mph is great but its now the new 30 ie. entry for all TOTL wheels. I have noticed riders in the community swapping their tires for big brand tires, like Michelin and Pirelli tires to name a few. Any opinion on these tire brands? My theory is that the big brands should have higher mileage and performance capabilities, but what would I know.
    I am amazed the major EUC players haven’t signed a sponsored deal with the aforementioned, because tires are such a major component of the riding experience.
    I enjoy watching the EUC manufacturers engineering feats to create the perfect EUC. As a veteran rider, did you ever forecast EUC manufacturers progress with their technology?
    Personally, I couldn’t have imagined EUC manufacturers making such progress. In my opinion, there aren’t any other PEV categories that continue to push the envelope of engineering like EUCS.
    For the first time in my EUC shopping life, I am in a joyful conundrum, in regards to which EUC to purchase. In my opinion, the EUC manufacturers are so close in creating the perfect EUC, which stalls my purchasing, because I am not sure if the next entry will be that dream WHEEL. I am personally on a hunt for a 16’’ EUC that has the technology features of Inmotion, performance of the Begode, and tank features of Leaperkim. From recent advertisements, the Veteran Patton might have checked those boxes for my summer wheel, but I will delay any fanboy purchase until you run it through it’s paces. Sojourning on until then, MANY THANKS !

      Motorcycle tires make more sense on alot of these bigger ewheels because you basically have to turn in a similar way as a motorcyclist. So those tires come ready for all that hard turning.

    • @VeeEUC
      @VeeEUC  Před rokem +1

      Sorry for the delayed response. Been super busy and knew the response was going to be a lengthy one. I've a Michelin street tire on my Monster Pro and love it. If it wasn't for the fact I'm lazy, I'd swap out a couple of my tires with street versions. The ride is noticeably different. Maybe it's a placebo effect, but it handles a lot smoother and maneuvering it isn't quite the struggle. Not like the off-road tire IS a struggle, but depending on the tire, you get a slight fight throwing it from side to side. I've become accustomed to it because I've been riding on them since like forever. It's like with anything, you adapt.
      As far as the technological advances of the EUCs., I foreshadowed it because the grumbling in the streets was just too profound for the manufacturers NOT to take heed and the way Gotway, now Begode started changing their wheels from the time I got into the game some 6 years ago.., night and day. I hear the Patton maybe what you are looking for. From what I hear, and I really don't pay much attention to anything unless it happens to fall in my hands it seems to have what you are looking for. Lol

    Do you think the V13 should have a street tire instead of the stock knobby tire?

    • @VeeEUC
      @VeeEUC  Před rokem +1

      If you plan on riding it mainly on the streets., a street tire would be ideal because the ride would be more conducive of what you'd expect from a street wheel; however, If you plan on doing off roading, then keep the stock tire. Me personally, I rock the stock tire. It maybe in my mind, but the ruggedness of the stock tire seems more sturdier and to some degree buffer rim damage from potholes or imperfections in the roadway. Again, that's my theory., it may not be true, but that's my mindset on the matter.

      You answered too late!🤣
      I'd pre-ordered the V13 almost 2 months ago.
      But after reading all the reviews and watching EVERY VIDEO THERE IS on the V13 and the Sherman S....the SS struck me as the most bang for the buck!
      NOT as heavy and unyeilding, MUCH BETTER suspension and much greater staying power (battery)
      I switched my order about 2 hours ago.
      So why do YOU say V13?

    • @VeeEUC
      @VeeEUC  Před rokem

      @@tanknd804 Yes, it's a matter of preference. If you're into distance and a smaller wheel with some spunk., the SS is the way to go. Me personally, I like the V13. The weight nor lackluster range bothers me. The suspension., outside the fact there's no obvious ques to help you hone in the right adjustments.., is relatively on par with the rest., as far as responsiveness that is.

  • @oolong2
    @oolong2 Před rokem +2

    It's pretty absurd to think someone would buy this wheel and only ride it at 15mph.... To measure range they probably just put the wheel on a dynameter of some kind and ran it at exactly 15mph until the battery died. Which wouldn't be anything like real world conditions at all. It's not like you're a large person or anything. I seriously doubt they got any real rider to ride it at exactly 15mph for 8 hours straight until it died.

    • @VeeEUC
      @VeeEUC  Před rokem +2

      It has always been my assumption these manufacturers really don't have "real" data to go off of and use an educated guess based off of mathematics. I thought similiar., because who has that much precision to consistently ride at that number for over 120 miles. Hell, auto-pilot in cars aren't THAT accurate. But I digress.
      Also, off topic, but keeping in line with these manufacturers and their...., guestimation or in this scenario, inflation. I had someone hit me up upset about the Sherman Max I sold him isn't 3600w, but 3400w and he wanted to know why that was, because he wanted 3600w. True to form and to the knowledge of the majority of EUC riders, these manufacturers inflate numbers on their wheels.
      So going back to your assertion., it isn't far fetched.
