Finally got the AH-64DJP and I gotta say it works wonders. Only took ~3 years of on and off grinding. Pantsirs are still a massive pain and as well as the Su-39 spam and the Chinese helis that love to camp heli spawns. It’s quite cheap to bring out though so that’s really nice. And if I want, I can run it with the Type 16s to use an Apache with all the upgrades at 9.7.
Im actually only ~70k RP from unlocking the US tech tree AH64, i just cant stick with the game for very long haha.
If I ever play the Apache, I'll be killed by a Pantsir or Ka 50 in no time.

What I want to note, of course, Apache's cannon is probably the most useless of all attack helicopters.
But guided missiles are really good. Each time that target is destroyed, one shot one kill.
For other anti-tank helicopter missiles, except for PARS, for some reason, with the same mass of the warhead, the target often has critical damage and one more missile has to be launched.
More of that soundtrack when playing America. Pls

@@Cam_Wight I can't really get the rooivalk to work well for me even in test flights, so I don't particularly want to buy it unless i have disposable income
I could get the G-Lynx instead but that's even more expensive (as you don't get any of the pack premium bonuses its worse value overall)
@@splabooshkey3343 It's ok but it's not great, I wouldn't recommend. I mainly play Air RB though. I've found that Heli's aren't that fun to me. It's so hard to do anything in them because of the KA-50/52s and Pansir and jets etc... Just not fun
Have you tried using the APKWS since the update? It’s perfect for mass destroying SPAA and light tanks, also good for scouting out an area by using the missile camera feature and looking for SPAA.
what variant of the rocket is best?
@@chaz9675 I think the first one, it should be faster and has more range. The warhead is weaker but it’s still HE which means it will one shot a light tank no matter what.

Every now and then... I like to pretend that each AGM Hunter let's loose has a mind of its own. As they fly towards their targets they feel a strong sense of spiritual guidance (similar to what migratory birds feel when the seasons change). The closer they get to the target, the more vocal/loud they become to the victim.... Not sure where I was going with this... That's enough internet. Hey hunter, for the love of god please show me your options for camera zoom in options for your heli. Whenever I zoom in, my shit is way too zoomed in and it’s impossible to play helis. I’ve tried everything in options and can’t figure it out, thanks.

I noticed when using sight stabilization that it doesn't reset anymore when it goes out of gymbal limit unlike before, have you noticed that aswell?

Are there any tips or precautions to keep in mind while piloting the Apache to use the Hellfire well like you? Hunter?
1- Don't hover too much
2- Eyes on enemy spawn (every tank you kill will create an SPAA in the enemy base 90% of times)
3- Use terrain cover
4- Stay at 3-4km from the battle, not too close not too far (Strela, Ozelot and Stinger Gepard can't get you with missiles at that range)
5- Pull off in the last 5 seconds of missile reaching time
6- Pick clear targets

Yes! TOW is very bad now with AH-1F, you need a static target mostly .. so Hellfire is the answer.

Is it better to have a close combat if it's a helicopter without a MAW? Or should I shoot from as far away as I can?
Get closer if there is terrain around, like you saw I was using the mountains to hide behind, but I recommend to stay out of 3km in all situations, IR SPAAs are OP and underestimating them is a big mistake, that's why AH-1F is one of the hardest choppers to use now.
Damn, the stingers look like they are really good, is it just the ATAS ones on the Apache or are they like this across the board?
I have more luck with aim-9L’s than I do atas idk what’s up with them I’ve just never been able to get kills with them.
@@fusionxray8971 There is generally two methods for missiles which each fills differently, ATAS is a long range bad maneuver missile that can lock helis with ECCM, the 9L is the maneuverable anti plane missile that cannot lock most helis
@@WillVonSalz I normally use hellfires to engage helicopters because I’m never close enough to use atas. I’ve found that engaging slow moving aircraft will work like you said they are low maneuvering missiles
Hey hunter! Do you have problems with scope too now? I can't guide the target with autoguidance on AH-64A. Scope starts "dancing" and that's the problem
It acts like crazy if there are multiple targets near to each other.

US grind is painful as all hell but always worth it. Top tier US tanks, helis, and planes are all fucking amazing. Really lethal in the right hands. I find it funny they actually nerfed the apache in war thunder. IRL it can carry AGM-114L which are actually fire-and-forget, but you could easily see how being able to carry 16 of those would be busted as fuck
BTW do you need to keep the target in view with the 114B's just like the BGM-71D? it looks like you turned out of view and still got a kill a couple times but maybe im wrong

hmmm still the same in general, you need to pick clear targets only when using Hellfire missile.

The Apache is a methodical predator. The ability to hover behind concealments, spot targets at long distances using FLIR and image magnification, and pop-up attack trajectory of guided hellfire missiles make the Apache truly lethal.
Wondering whether the Ka-50 and other Russian helicopters have the same image magnification in ChadThunder similar to the Apache. Haven't ever seen you use image magnification ever before.
