One thing Terrence Howard helped me realize is that people can function normally with something missing. In this instance we are so controlled by anger towards a period of time that we don’t realize we are missing a bigger problem. If the word was negative then no one should say it. However we accept it culturally as positive yet want to gate keep who says it.
