I had that same guitar except a 1980. They take a lot of unnecessary flack for not being a slope shoulder J-45. I think they are better than people give them credit for. They are their own guitar and a good example sounds great.

My grandfather had a 1960s model j-45 but it got broke back in the 90s

They built the J-45 as square shoulder dreadnought back then. Traditionally it is a Slope Shoulder dreadnought. :)
