The shower curtain question hit me real hard.Because I always look at the shower before I use the bathroom. My cat likes to hide in there and jump out at me.
me too. I can't have the shower curtain closed (but specifically it has to be on the left side) because my sister used to hide in there and scare me and now im more or less traumatized.

I’m a PowerPoint specialist.. I have such imposter syndrome as a graphic designer (even though I use ID/IL/PS constantly) 🙈
But getting asked to do things “because it will only take 5 minutes” is the worst.

The most illegal/bad feel for me with forms for any government office is the one question : "Race". Like are you serious!? What does my "Race" matter with my tax forms?????

@@mystikarain For tax forms, it is additional identifiers, there may be other people with the same name or very similar... unless you don't mind filing for someone elses taxes...
@@edwardpaulsen1074 The thing is they ask for your social security number, THAT is the only identifier they actually need because no one else has it and it uniquely identifies you, so effectively that eliminates their excuses for further information. I have filed and will again next year that the "race" status /question be taken off all forms because it does actually profile you in certain categories in our nation. The racial profiling all over the USA using certain terms and conditions should be prohibited to try to stop racist actions by all against another group of people, in any case my state has that in place so when is the Government actually put it in place as well?
But if your social doesn’t match your other identifiers? Would that not save you?

Related to the question about going back to your birth with all your adult knowledge: one of the few things that helps me not feel regret about my life choices/failures is the fact that I would not have adopted my cat, who was a stray that showed up at my workplace. So many failures led to me being there in that moment. I hate to think what would have happened to her had things not worked out that way!
Immoral not illegal for me: U turns (even when there’s no signage saying you can’t it still feels wrong to me)

Why aren't there classes in school where you learn how to fill out tax forms, or how to balance a check book, etc... just practical things that you will have to do as an adult.

As far as going back in time with the same memories, I would not do anything to jeopardize my kids, so I couldn’t change anything so what’s the point? Also, if you had all these memories, imagine how you would feel if you know a tragedy would happen and could do nothing about it?

Oh man, I don't know why, but that question about what people ask you to do that's outside your job description hit me hard. I remember when I was a broadcast engineering trainee, one of the ladies in wardrobe would always ask me to help her with her spreadsheets. I'm like dude, I'm supposed to be broadcast IT support, not corporate IT support. Come to think of it, a lot of the ladies in the news room would always be asking me to help them with their computer problems, it was never the men. What's up with that?

I wanna say for the child prodigy one, with people like me, where I still enjoy childish things even though I get older, I could still have a 2nd childhood and make friends with kids. It would go down to a person to person basis. For me it would be good

I'm not sure if choosing one school over another counts as a small decision, but still cute. In my case it was visiting a friend. His best friend was visiting him for a weekend for the first time in two years and I just happened to be there. It resulted in me completely switching my career plans and moving abroad to study

The memories that I would purposely erase from my brain are my school schedules from Middle School and High School. I haven't needed those in years (I am in my senior year of college) but I could still walk you through my entire schedule start to finish from 6th grade through 12th grade.

Cool podcast! I would say that about the time travel one, you're assuming that 1.) the adults around you would listen to you about investing in particular companies (which they likely wouldn't, because what adult takes advice on investment from a seven or ten or fifteen year old) and 2.) your knowledge of things wouldn't change the course of events. If you knew certain things would happen, and acted on that knowledge, that would change the course of events because you're introducing a new variable to a timeline, and so things wouldn't play out the same. So - how would CZcams change if young Evan and young Katelyn were the earliest CZcams stars? Would the same thumbnails and trends happen, or would your presence influence things differently via. the butterfly effect? Maybe the most popular CZcamsrs would be makers instead of gamers. Or maybe you'd be the Pewdiepie of that universe. I definitely overthought that lol
Something that always feels illegal is when I, a student fill out a form asking me, "what category do you fit into, a. English language learner b. Gifted and talented c. Below standard d. Other"... Or "what race do you qualify as", when filling out forms to improve the quality of school district stuffs...

The being without technology thing, I agree that would be awful for most people, but you can survive perfectly well without it, as we did for thousands of years. Recently me and my friend who I’ve known for a really long time have been having some issues. Haven’t seen her for about 6 weeks and she won’t tell me why, I didn’t do much at all with her but every time I asked her if something was wrong she’d never respond. Last night I had a dream about meeting up with her and me and her having a really good time. She literally just asked if we could talk on Friday- Coincidence?
