It may sound crazy, but we've never been in Kyoto. We are from Argentina and we feel a strong connection with the traditional japanese culture. So we get our japanese inspiration from CZcams videos, japanese musicians, blogs, books and pictures posted by locals and tourists.
We love Kyoto and we want to get there! We want to visit the place that inspired so many songs to us for more than ten years.
And you can help us.
All donations will be destinated to our first (and maybe only?) trip to Japan. Once there, we want to play our music but we also will be recording soundscapes, making video footages and taking pictures for our future releases. All that material will be freely available for download with a Creative Commons License.
Be part of our dream. Your name will be put in a list of contributors, and that list will be stored in a sacred place at Kyoto when we get there. Every contribution will get us closer to our destination. Thank you!

The Kyoto Connection is a musical voyage. A step into the inner universe through a mixture of electronic ambients, melodies, and japanese sounds. Inspired by the emotions, colors and feelings of the traditional japanese culture, the music of The Kyoto Connection explores different ways and musical genres to reach a unique experience.

I was over at a friends house and he was playing a game called Deathwar, the game seemed alright , but the music was excellent. the rest is history. I will continue to introduce The Kyoto Connection to people I think will enjoy it.
There is now (sadly in one sense) way too much, Synthwave, fusion pop, chillwave, retro, yada yada yada (There are also too many names for the same genera, we used to just call it all techno) What I'm trying to say is, you stand outside of the trend for me. You have a refined sound with wonderful melodies... remember melodies. Anyhow, Thank you for enriching the world with pure music again.

About 10 years ago I felt what I would call a "calling" and committed myself to learning the language both spoken and written In the hopes of being able to some day be of service to them. Your music has been with me on much of that journey. God bless you in your music! I'll do my part in getting other people to listen.

I've mentioned this before, but I've first heard your music and came here through the game Deathwar 3030 Redux - it's pretty amazing how No Headphones Required fitted the game even though the album wasn't produced for it. So I wanted to ask a question regarding the usage of your work in game products, as I've been working on a project for over a year now. Your License is Attribution but Non-Commercial, so did the folks from Deathwar contact you? In any case, I wanted to know all about it, as I'd be so happy to have any fitting songs feature in the game. Is there any way to contact you if interested, Facebook for example?

Is it from your upcoming album 1982? Sure this will be a great album indeed in this case! Like many others I discovered you thanks to Deathwar 3030 Redux. Listened for your full discography back then and found many great tracks from your other albums like Samurai Spirit, Nothing Left to Do, Geisha, No Pain, No Gain and so on. Though No Headphones Required is still my favorite. I also charmed by Japan for a long time but unfortunately had no a possibility to visit it yet. Hope someday we would be able to fulfill our dream! BTW I like your StayAtHome version of The Prisoner very much. Will there be any chance that you'll record a studio version?

Hi! This song is Kyoto 2020, it was meant to be our announcement of our first travel to Kyoto... but then COVID arrived and our plans had to be postponed... let's see if we can reach our dreams on 2021!
