  • This video tutorial could be called "Sympathetic nervous system LIGHT" because it is designed to cover the principles ... the foundation of sympathetic pathways. The specifics of each organ/tissue innervated by sympathetic pathways will be covered in more detail in other tutorials.

    Best Neuroanatomy lectures on the internet. Please continue posting. Your videos are going to be the go to videos for understanding Neuroanatomy in the future. Neuroanatomy is one of the most difficult things to understand in anatomy. And quite difficult to grasp just by reading text books. You explain neuroanatomy like no other. More and more of neuroanatomy please... Thanks a lot.

    Looking at a Netter painting of the ANS, at the c1-c8 level, it shows a lot of post-ganglionic fibers running through the S.chain and the trunks, but it's not clear what cns neurons they came from. Did they just come from T1,2,3... and travel upward through the s. chain and back into the trunks?

    @ 7:02 i thought the adrenal gland is directly innervated by neurons from the gray matter, that it doesn't have a 2-neuron pathway innervation.

    • @TheNotedAnatomist
      @TheNotedAnatomist  Před 8 lety +5

      That is correct. The adrenal gland is modified neural crest cells that is really a post-ganglionic neuron that releases its Neurotransmitter into the blood stream.
