  • Are you considering renting a condo in Singapore? Join me as I take you on a tour of my 2-bedroom condo and share valuable insights into the renting process in this vibrant city-state. From the ideal location to the luxurious facilities, this video will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of what to expect and how much it costs to rent in Singapore.
    In this video, I, a resident of Singapore for the past 4 years, will guide you through the key factors to consider when renting a condo. One of the first things to prioritize is the location. Our condo is situated in the central area of Boon Keng, which offers easy access to amenities and transportation. By reducing your commuting time to work or shopping centers, you can enhance your overall quality of life in Singapore. I will also highlight the importance of understanding the surroundings of your condo. From nearby grocery stores to schools, it’s crucial to evaluate whether the environment suits your lifestyle preferences. Our condo is conveniently located near the beautiful Whampoa River, providing a serene environment for relaxation and leisure activities.
    One of the major advantages of living in a condo is the abundance of facilities. Our condo boasts a well-equipped gym, perfect for early morning or late-night workouts. Additionally, we have a fantastic pool area, including a children’s pool and a lap pool. Having access to a pool can be a real relief, especially for newcomers to Singapore or Asia in general, as it helps combat the heat and humidity. Furthermore, I will showcase other facilities such as the steam room, sky garden, BBQ area, and tennis court, which are all available for residents to enjoy. It’s essential to make the most of these facilities as they are included in your rent.
    Moving on to the apartment itself, I will guide you through the various spaces and functionalities. Our condo offers a stunning unblocked view from our high-floor unit, providing breathtaking sights day and night. The spacious balcony allows for outdoor activities, although the morning heat often makes it more suitable for enjoying the bright and airy atmosphere. While the kitchen may be compact, it is a common feature in Singapore condos. However, the condo provides essential appliances such as a fridge, microwave, and washing machine, making it convenient for tenants. The dining room is simple yet functional, and we also have a living room and study area, allowing for separate spaces to relax, dine, and work.
    The condo comprises two bedrooms, with the common room available for rent. This room comfortably fits a queen-size bed and includes a built-in wardrobe. Renting part of the apartment requires prior communication and agreement with the landlord. As for the master bedroom, it offers privacy with an attached bathroom, commonly found in Singapore condos.
    Throughout the video, I will also share tips on personalizing and making modifications to the condo. While it’s essential to make the space feel like home, it’s crucial to remember that any alterations must be removed before returning the apartment to the landlord.
    In conclusion, this video provides an in-depth look into the renting experience in Singapore. From the central location to the luxurious facilities, renting a 2-bedroom condo offers convenience, comfort, and a high standard of living. Whether you are new to Singapore or a long-term resident, this video will equip you with the knowledge needed to make an informed decision when renting in this bustling city-state.

    4200 is a rip off for this cubyhole, with a average salary of 6000 you obviously have to split rent with your partner. Scary thing is population is expected to touch 7 million in 2030 up by almost 1.5 million from today. Imagine what is going to happen to rents and disposable income in SIN

    • @NewtoSingapore
      @NewtoSingapore  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Yes, rent is quite expensive when you compare it to the income - I don't know how families can afford to not share expenses! Here we are 3 living in the apartment and paying close to $2000 is still weighting on a budget!

      With 86% home ownership, most locals in Singapore don't rent. Most of the condos in Singapore are actually owned by locals living in public housing who put the downpayment and then rent them out to expats.

      @@aero.l Singaporeans pay close to USD 700K for tiny 880 sqft HDB flat. Now do the math of mortgage payouts to average incomes , way too much of the income of average Singaporean goes to service debt taken for tiny shoeboxes😁
