In Aster Medicity, they charge around 60 for a days park and over 80 or 100 for overnight park. My father was admitted for 5 days and I ended up paying 80K+ for the hospital charge and 240 Rs for the parking fees.
People come to Malls for leisure but when people extend the stay in a hospital , that means they are with serious medical condition. Ideally they are not supposed to charge you but in Gods own country. And the worst part is , our car will be put in a open ground in heavy rain and sun , so why the extra money.
Same situation in Lourde Hospital. Raised a complaint and no response from management.
Actually, if possuble you have to case a file... Some one have to raise action against this..... 👍🏻

They can charge those who come there not for shopping but genuine shoppers should not pay additional money. Kochi people should move against this to corporation or court. When they imposed fee few years before I had heated arguments with them once, but people behind me honking as I was blocking them, only hope is court.

It's a standard practice in most malls to get the parking charges validated while making a purchase and I totally support that. I don't think its a matter of legal or illegal, just a factor of customer service. It won't be fair on the part of mall to Not charge at all, because we know how people misuse that system.
They can charge but it must be refunded by them if you are using any service in them
Means if they charge you 50 rs for parking
Then you are shopping from any of the shops
They must refund
If you aren't shopping but you are using any of the service like watching movies in theatre or using Turf
They also must return the money
So misuse of parking must be eliminated
