Great video! I’m want to get my truck leveled. What kit do you guys recommend? The daystar leveling kit with front air links sensors or the Adjustable Air Suspension Links to Lower (Front & Rear)?
Depends on the truck, If you have a rebel or a ram with the offroad package you will need the Daystar plus links package. You can tell this if your truck only has one offroad setting. If you have a truck with two offroad settings you can level it with the just the levelling / lifting links, kit RP1 (2013-2015), RP3 (2016-2018- 2019 classic) or RP6 (new 5th gen 2019+ trucks.
I’ve seen guys do this but also use spacers like you would with a spring setup. Is this recommended? i drive a 2015 1500 and i’m just looking to level it. i don’t do any hauling.
It is not a normal offering as we do RP-1 full lifting or RP-2 full lowering for the 2015 Rams. You could purchase two RP1-half kits and specify front lifting for one and rear lowering for the other. As far as adjusting just follow the instructions for lifting on front and lowering on rear. Three turns max and drive a short distance between adjustments. As long as the adjustments are done as per the install instructions you will be able to get the stance you are looking for.
Thanks for the video. I just bought a 2021 Limited night edition and I want to lower it just as you have the one in this video. Do I need to buy front and back links to achieve that and would it affect ride quality?
Yes you will need front and rear lowering links, RP-7. Ride quality depends on how low you adjust your normal ride mode to be, totally up to you on how you adjust them. You want to leave enough active suspension so would suggest the mild lowering links as that puts the normal ride mode close to the stock entry/exit height. If you go with aggressive you will need to cut the bump stops in order to maintain enough active suspension. Or you can make the adjustments yourself by following the installation instructions.
@@revelperformance2021 gotcha. I’m going to order today. Is RP-7 the part number?
@@xFinesser23x Yes, RP-7 and then options are available on the right side drop downs.
In normal ride height can we lift the front 1inch and lower the rear one inch ?
I have rough country 5inch lift with 35inch tire but getting slight rub in front … but I’d like the front just a tad higher lmk I’ll order some up
Yes you can but need to specify that in the notes. Just order the correct model year and state in the notes that you want front lifting and rear lowering
On a 2021 1500 limited I want to raise the front about 1" and lower the rear 1" to level. Will this work and will it affect the ride quality?
Hey did you end up getting this? I have the same questions
Hi. I have a 2020 Ram 1500 Laramie 4x4 with stock air suspension. I am looking to level out truck to fit 35s better. Do I need to get just the front links or do I need to buy the set of 4? Thank you!
You can achieve that with just the front links however we recommend you have all four to correct for any lean issues the truck may have now or in the future.
Thank you. Would that be product code RP-6 with link configuration front and rear lifting?
@Revel Performance If I lift 2" with the revel links what happens when I put my air ride mode up 2? will it lift an additional 2 inches?
You are moving where your normal ride mode sits. All air ride modes are relative to the new normal. If you lift your new normal too high and try to go higher with the dash buttons you may get a payload air ride error. It all depends on how high you set your new normal. Please review our FAQs located here, www.revelperformance.com/faq/
if the air suspension fails as they do all the time up here in Canada, will these links keep the truck at the height it was set at? Or will the truck just sink down still?
Our links simply change where the normal ride mode sits. If problems develop with the on board air ride compressor or computer or air lines our links would not be able to prevent it. They are simple linkages for the air ride sensors on the four corners of the truck that are adjustable verses the fixed length stock ones.
So I’m picking up a 2022 limited with air ride and I want to use my fuel wheels from my 19 Laramie world I need to run these or I should be okay? There 20s with 12.50 inch tires
Those rims and tires should work however you can always get our RP-6 Lifting links to make adjustments if needed.
so is the truck in normal ride height when this is performed? or can you do this when its in offroad 2 to trick the truck to think that is the normal ride height?
What you are doing is changing where the normal ride mode sits. All other modes will be relative to where you set the new normal. So Yes the truck is in normal mode when adjustments are made.
If you level the front without strut spacers, doesn’t that mean that you have less up travel and may damage the air shocks if they max out?
There’s no way you can damage the air shocks by adjusting the length of the sensor links. Ride may be a bit harsher depending on how high you set the new normal.
Can confirm this. I raised/leveled 1” to easily clear my 35’s. Ride was a tiny bit rough. I kept lowering 1/4” until I noticed any rub. Found a height that looks good w no rub and good aerodynamics.
Hi to start, turn to normal high and with admission off? what admission? appreciate!
Set to "Normal Ride Height" with the "Ignition" off
I would only like to lift the front end of my 2019 ram rebel, can I just purchase the front links only?
The rebels need our basic lift package that includes a front spacer. Rebel can only be lifted 3/4” with links alone before the ride is affected.
Hi, i have a 2024 ram 1500 limited with both off road options.
I would like to level my truck to be lower. What would i need?
Thank you.
If you want to lower your normal ride mode you can use kit RP-7. Once adjusted all other air ride modes will be relative to that new normal
Who’s if one side is sitting higher after adjustments? Is it ok to go ahead and trim the other side up to fine tune to where it sits the same on Both sides? Mine is a quarter off on one side so I was wondering if I turn that sod dip three turns it should sit the same as the other side??
Yes that’s another benefit of the Revel links. You can adjust each corner to compensate for any lean the truck may have.
If one link is bottomed out is that a problem or is it fine? I have the truck turned up to where it will not go into OR1 which is fine with me but I feel like I’m not getting 2 inches out of it tape shoes only 1.5?
I was sitting around either 37 or 37.5 when I started now it’s sitting dead even at 39 which I think is plenty for 35 inch tires! Just wanted to verify
Okay to be bottomed but check the alignment and adjust via the 10mm sensor hold down bolt if possible. Your measurements seem typical.
Awesome I got the sensor adjusted and it looks great under there it’s lining up well!!! Getting an alignment tomorrow thank you so much for the help
What’s the max height that allows off-road 1 and 2 when just leveling the front?
You can level up front to match back with all air rides modes continue working with the new stance.
Just purchased 2023 ram limited 1500 2wd with air suspension. Want to put on 35" tires on. Will this help avoid any rubbing or cutting?
Yes definitely, suggest you take a look at our build blog to see what our customers have been able to do. www.revelperformance.com/news.html
would these work with the wk2 ql system?
We have options now for 2016-2021 GC, 2022 GC and GC L and 2022 wagoneer
Will this work on a already lifted truck? Air suspension sits at normal currently. But I want it to sit in off-road 2
Yes if the lift retains the stock air sensor links they will work. You can move your normal ride mode higher into the off road heights.
i just ordered these and the lift kit. should i wait till after the lift kit installed or dont matter@@revelperformance2021
How much lower than factory can you achieve with a 23 Ram Limited with Air Suspension?
You can move the normal ride mode down within the range of the air ride system. After that all air ride modes are relative to that new normal.
So what does switching do does it stop the truck from lowering when in a higher speeds.
Your normal ride mode is adjusted to be somewhere else. After that all air ride modes are relative to that new normal. So yes if your normal ride mode is higher it will not drop based on speed as that is where the truck believes the normal ride mode is.
Do you adjust the links while the vehicle is on and running, or off?
You can make the adjustments while the truck is on and running. Refer to the installation instructions for details.
@@revelperformance2021 thank you my truck does not want to adjust up or down now is there a reset it has to go through?
@@juanortiz1933 The best way to reset is to put the stock links back on. The truck should return to proper operation. Then redo your adjustments following the installation instructions. (Small incremental changes)
@@revelperformance2021 thank you that worked awesome love the links already referred y’all to a buddy
I have ram 1500 2019 limited and would like to level the front of the truck any recommendation
You can check out our build blog at www.revelperformance.com. Two options are links alone (RP-6) or our basic lift package.
@@revelperformance2021 I want to level my ram 2023 limited about 2” those links are plug and play? Or how can I get 2”
@@JoseCortes-xp9ch What the links do is change where your normal ride mode sits, after that all other modes are relative to that new normal. You can check out our FAQs for more information, www.revelperformance.com/ft-2434-faq.html
Heyooo so I have a ram limited 2019 I put it in off road 2 and pull the fuse so I’m always sitting at off road 2 which is 5inches in lift if I add these and max them 2 2.5 will it add 2.5 inches to my over all lift as in I’ll be riding at 7 inches ?
No that is not the way they work. The links cannot add any additional height over the max range of the air ride system. What they do is alter where the normal ride mode sits. So you could have it in the stock off road 2 height without pulling the fuse. It would stay there and not drop down above the speed limit. All other modes will work except pressing OR1 or OR2 will generate errors.
@@revelperformance2021 o wow that’s actually a really cool product sadly it wouldn’t be for me I thought I could add it while in off road 2 and add a little more height but good on you guys for having more knowledge than any other company for the ram limiteds I’ve seen
@@revelperformance2021 I actually still might buy the product since having the fuse plugged makes the backup camera a little wonky thank you for replying
@@rob6567 No problem and it’s always better to have everything work as designed. We would never recommend running without the fuse in as there are safety interlocks built into the air ride system software.
I did mine with hardware from McFadden's for about 30 for all 4
From HD? Can you provide a link? All four? I thought it’s just up front….
@@jasonkav I bought all necessary parts at a place called McFadden's in Las Vegas
Do these come preset? 19 ram
Not at this time for the lifting links. You need to install and adjust as per the installation instructions.
Can these be adjusted to get you higher then “normal as standard” I thought off-road 2 would be the standard height always on the truck and then when going down the road it would go down to off-road 1 thinking it was aero mode. That’s how other companies do it to give you the most lift/level. You are charging a lot of money for these if I have to adjust them and they only give me 3/4” of lift ?
On a standard air ride truck with two off road settings you can place your normal ride mode to be anywhere within the air ride system range. Once set all other air ride modes will be relative to the new normal you set. If you set it all the way up to the OR2 height you would not be able to use the dash buttons for OR1 or OR2 without generating errors however your truck would remain at that height all the time and at any speed. Check out our FAQs here for more information, www.revelperformance.com/faq/
@@revelperformance2021 thanks for the info. One last question. My truck isn’t here yet lol. When you initially set the lengths etc so you want the truck in normal mode? That way when your done it will always be at the height you set? Like you said above I have no use to put it in Off-road 1 or 2 as it will be leveldnor slightly lifted in normal. As far as putting weight in the bed, if you put 500 lbs worth of something in the bed and you are lifted slightly would the system work stil pr would tht throw a code since you would need to add more air to level the truck out? Thanks
@@xGR1MxREAPERx auto level will still work at your new normal
