The flip phone seems to make a lot more sense to me than the fold, the flip is handy and fits in your pocket easily or the ball and chains purse.
The fold seems to come with a lot of compromises , i`d rather have a conventional more durable decked out galaxy note with all the bells and whistles that is just ready to use no unfolding , alas :) .

@@rahulk-mh7ee It depends what you're looking for. I'm just waiting to hear about the durability on the inside screen cause not many are talking about that so far. In the previous model the inside would scratch easily or the crease would get so prominent after lots of use.
"Same display size" is definitely not a drawback! Do we expect phones to become larger each year? I like them to become smaller!

My s20 fe is going fine(well obviously it came out last year). Gonna buy flip 4 by the end of next year. The flip phones would be even better next year

Visually I am SO excited by the design / look of this phone. I had the Z flip 5g and I wanted to love it soooo badly...but I found it pretty hard to use. I'm curious if this improves on any of my big pain points: 1) battery life.... 2) cameras awful in anything except for perfect lighting 3) half of the phone would get VERY hot 4) still very "heavy" so folding it in half it felt like a small rock in your pocket rather than being a bit more distributed like a slab phone is.

I love the z flip 3. Got it from preordering it! I will say the only thing that bothers me is the really low battery life. Other then that, I haven't had any issues!
Wish I could video chat while the phone is shut, using the outside cameras and screen.

I'm with you, I have a Note 20 Ultra and I love the phone but it is burdensome carrying it around at times! My only issue with it, considering grabbing this eventhough it is a downgrade.
$1000 for the same cameras is the only thing holding me back from getting it. If it had the same cameras as the S21 series, even if it still was just the 2 cameras, I’d get it

My only concern is battery life. I have a s20 with exynos chip and the battery sucks. This battery is even smaller but the snapdragon processor chips have always been more efficient and this one ships with snapdragon worldwide if I'm not mistaken. I've pre-ordered one. Let's see...

As someone who switched from Samsung to Apple for Vlogging reasons (S10 to i11Pro/i12Pro) this would be freaking AWESOME to vlog with if the cameras are on par with at least the S21… but I have a feeling it won’t be :(
Battery life with the 888 and 120hz is the dealbreaker for me so let’s see how this folds out 😅😅

i would buy the flip if it would have a 4500 mah battery and S21/+ or ultra camera! It must be so fun to flip your phone, just like the good old times :-) Now i'm waiting for the next note. in a couple of years i buy a flip phone.
Don't think imma upgrade my flip 5g yet. Surprised they kept the MST feature on Samsung pay which is the only reason I still have my Samsung phone.

The fold is nothing but a tablet. Way too big for anyone's pocket and it's still pricey!
Fold 5 edition will be the fold to buy. The fold 3 is still way to bulky for everyday carry. Flip 3 is way to go for now only thing with that is the battery life, but im still gonna get flip 3 for its compact factor. Finally a 6.7 in smartphone that you can fit into your pants comfortably

@@romeog9347 I think the battery life will be ok if you're not gaming all day or shooting videos. With normal use....it will be fine. I don't game or shoot videos....so I'm good. I use gaming for my tablet. But for people who are extremely heavy users...it could be an issue.

I like matte finished Aluminium frame. Shiny aluminium frame on all Samsung devices always felt cheap. I like this transition. I hope they do the same for all their future devices.
All things are great but I am kinda disappointed with Camera setup. I expected 3 camera setup or a high resolution camera to emulate hybrid zoom.
I think eventually they will bring more flagship cameras to these devices but they want to differentiate their product line up. I think eventually when the Fold replaces the Note lineup you will see flagship camera setup at least in that device.

I have read that it is not possible to remove the factory screen protector on the Flip3. However I did it on my Fold2 and the screen felt much better, and have had no issues. So I understand everyone advice against it, however can it really be true that it is not possible to remove it on the Flip3?
You shouldn’t remove the protector. It has improved so much this year you won’t need to. Trust me on that.

Seems like a good update - but still - the price should drop in the next months at least 20%... although you get the VIP packages / Addons when you preorder are worth it (Buds etc..) - But the big NO NO is - no S PEN support (Flip 4?)
