- Renting a flat / apartment long term is possible on a website called: thehomelike.com I used this website to find accommodation in Barcelona. Visiting these homes is not allowed before the customer pays. The day one arrives, cancellation is no longer allowed. The problem: thehomelike.com does not check the validity of the pictures on it's website. This, together with being unable to cancel is a recipe for disaster. To make matters worse, customer service only did one thing: they forwarded my complaint to the landlord, as it's not thehomelike you rent withbut a 3rd party. Thus unlike a website like AirBNB there are no set contracts here, but they vary per home. These may be English on their website, but the one you sign may not be. Mine was in Spanish (which I don't speak).
Is thehomelike a trustworthy company / website? No! I rate thehomelike.com with one star and strongly recommend NOT to use this company.
I hope my guest review video of thehomelike.com will help you to avoid making the same mistake I did. Do not pay for an apartment you have never seen without a money back option when you arrive.

I am current staying in a apt that I found with a local realtor,while here I started looking for a place to stay next year Homelike had the same apt listed for almost triple the price I am paying.Also I continue to get other apartment listings sent to me and they all say that I can't get in to view them that I would rent without viewing No Way!

You nailed it. That the main issue here.. In retrospect I feel so silly for trusting a website like this. It's just so difficult to filter the bad from the good...
