I just prefer hotels nowadays, I love Airbnb but they are getting more expensive than hotels,Airbnb hosts knows that most of the guests are travelers and tourist (foreigns) so they deliberately make rent more expensive ,Airbnb used too be a budget friendly now not any more

@building and flix Hotels are more comfortable now, offer desk services, help with ur stuff , free breakfast ,there is always coffe machine to use , everything any travel can need, mostly importaly they dont force you to clean+pay expensive cleaning fee,I travel alot and notice i save more using hotels

I used to work at a hotel. Your free breakfast is week old refrigerated eggs with a waffle maker that has never been cleaned. The health inspection for hotels is a literal joke as we had rats and mice for years. I called OSHA when I quit. Everyone had to take their training and the manager was pissed off that they had to do their jobs. 🤣

    • @furonwarrior

And you would never want to eat their breakfast unless they had an actual kitchen staff. Don’t trust shit hotels serving you breakfast because those chocolate waffles are just original waffles with rat droppings.

Great breakdown. I do travel to NYC a bit and have noticed that hotels there, especially booked ahead of time, tend to be better deals than AirBnBs because of the ease of check-in/out, concierge services, and roughly equivalent costs.

We mostly stay in Airbnb's for stays over 3 nights. Biggest downfall is that when using a home for full time Airbnb it removes it from either the for sale market or long term rental market causing home and rental prices to skyrocket. The other big issue are the fees. The fees should be rolled into the nightly rate. It's kind of like a restaurant adding a "service" fee to your bill. It takes longer to book because you have to read all reviews, check the location to make sure the area is safe, make sure this isn't the first time they have rented out a property, etc... Always rent from a super host.

I just found out that AirBnB does NOT require Hosts to provide what are considered Essential Amenities such as TOILET PAPER, LINENS, etc.! So, what are you paying for?! Especially with all the extra fees! Some of the Hosts require you to take out your own garbage & somehow keep your pets off the furniture. Ha, ya, ok.

@@biruteramanauskiene8731 Ya, the 'Reviews' on AirBnB aren't reliable at all because the Hosts Review the Guests the Guests always put raving Reviews. I could've tore up so many of these AirBnBs but because Hosts can Review me & read my prior Reviews, I don't post Reviews to prevent me from being rejected at future AirBnBs. The Review system isn't trustworthy.

I thought Vrbo was new. I had never heard of it until a couple weeks ago in my CZcams ads. I'm a big fan of AirBnB. I always find cheap places in good locations. I also stay at ones that the owner actually lives at (that's probably what makes them cheaper, and like you said, it's more of an immersive experience). I've probably stayed at an AirBnB 30 times and have only had one bad experience. The rest were amazing!!! I used to be a host too (and lived at the house).

What are the reasons they're giving you to not book it? In my experience, it's all about what makes the most sense. Sometimes Airbnb just makes the most sense, sometimes I find myself flipping through the pictures and reviews and trying to calculate how the owner came to the conclusion that they can/should charge as much as they do. I think just consider what you want to get out of the trip and what accommodations best fit that plan.

I honestly wish I had found what I’m doing now about 10 years ago. it’s perfect but it’s not for everyone. the economy is also changing and will definitely affect my occupation. I feel like I’m doing some good with what I do but I also understand everybody cannot do what I do. it maybe not a perfect fit for them. I have a degree in public relations in the first job I got was retail. It was high-end retail and I thought a little bit more professional but things have changed even since then. 😊
