    There are 3 things I like about Triads.
    I learnt alot about Triads from my local music shop, it's based on 135 Major Triad Street and it's a triangular shaped building which stands out to local musicians.
    The shop is thinking of Extending it's premises which will bring alot of tension around for sure, but these are just major and minor issues which can very easily get resolved.

    I love Tomo! Been subscribed to his Guitar Wisdom for a few years. I especially like that he goes through the Levitt book which has been a bucket list thing of mine to complete at least book 1 for some time now. I love that you get out there jam with all these great players. I think your the world's greatest jammer in how you get out there and jam with all these stars and look so comfortable which really inspires me to get out there and play with people. Some great stuff here! I always pick up great ideas from watching you jam. I know praise you all the time, but I think your the absolute best at showing us mere mortals how to enjoy what we can play and how to have fun jamming with others. For that I once again I thank you, and man, you are one working machine! God bless ya

    The distance on the fretboard between each inversion or something to get the minds eye trained to go from one to another to another would be a nice add to this lesson.

    Great video once again! I heard a guy playing who sounded like he used a lot of piano player's ways of bouncing back & forth between chords while vamping. Do you have any ideas how those work? Gospel players seem to use some. No matter what chord they are on... they have some kind of formula for toggling back and forth. Thanks!

    • @TomoFujitaMusic
      @TomoFujitaMusic Před 6 měsíci

      You can play those on 123 set, 234 set 345 set 456 set strings as triads.

  • @goatyachty1762
    @goatyachty1762 Před 7 měsíci +1

    Is he basically just saying, finding different triads instead of memorizing shapes? Are all triads root 3rd and 5th? Im alittle confused about what inversion mean or diatonic, and i cant learn modes, theres so many videos that i think teach them wrong. Especially i hear so many other teachers contradict each other in other videos

    • @TomoFujitaMusic
      @TomoFujitaMusic Před 6 měsíci +2

      All you need to learn basic triads. Root Position = R M3 5, 1st Inversion = M3 5 R, 2nd inversion = 5 R M3... Only 3 types so learn each one each day... super slow! and have a fun!

  • @cameronsmith8515
    @cameronsmith8515 Před 8 měsíci +1

    I get why you can play D over E7, but why does playing the A triad work over it too? Just trying to get my head around it

    • @TomoFujitaMusic
      @TomoFujitaMusic Před 6 měsíci

      E triad = R M3 5 for E, D triad = b7 9 11 for E chord. So R, 9, M3, 4(11), 5, b7 so it's Mixolydian scale without 6th intervals. Using I & bVII triads... you can jam Mixo sound and simple & easy!

    @michaeldennisguitarlessons Před 8 měsíci

    at 2:36 G-E to D-F to E-C on strings ③ & ① are Diatonic 6th intervals. They are "not necessarily" connected to the chord inversions.
