I trained kali, jkd, and BJJ for 20 years. I never trained nunchucks ever but we did a lot of escrima training and sparring. Just recently wanted to try something new and it’s surprisingly easy to pick up and use techniques and combos we use with the stick.
It’s been a while since I used them. But I learned to use them when I trained Kyokushin Karate. Also used Sai’s, tonfa’s, bo, and the Kama’s. One of out Shihan’s had the plastic version and went behind the head but had his hands not close enough and knocked himself out cold. Have to admit we did have a lot of fun training the old school way verses the watered down version of today. 😃

I actually made a custom set just for training, from 1-inch hex aluminum bar, 16" long. They are very heavy, but great for training. When I switch to traditional wood sets, I am very quick. Control is key.

Very close - Isa Inguz Raido Ansuz Mannaz. The bind rune also spells my last name. It does look like Laguz but it was a way to short hand binding Raido. 👍🏻

India, not really Kung Fu or should I properly say “Gung fu?” Could also be Karate, Taekwondo and pretty much any other martial art since they’re all more similar than different. IDGAF-k🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️👍🏻
@@kalicenter nunchaku is from china so is used mostly in kungfu 🙏🏻
