And remember, life is a lot more fun Over On The Wild Side! - Zábava
I absolutely love the 1800s and my lord it’s amazing
I found your channel recently and I'm hooked. I've been obsessed with the west for a while now. It's amazing to see someone living the lifestyle so honestly. Learning as you go like the frontiersman.
I would love to do this one day! In the meantime please keep uploading. It's a joy to watch.
Thank you, I really love to hear that kind of feedback.
I really enjoyed this, thanks for taking us along. Cheers
I always carry me some flour salt and baking powder and make me some fry bret! Looks like good country!
Life is trial-and-error. At least you're doing it. Life that is. You're living it. 😉
Agreed, thank you
We make “clicking” noises with our horses to get them to move. Worth a try with yours.
I do that, Bo plays a ton of tricks. He knows what I’m wanting from him.
Hey Richard beautiful country. Roll your line around a can. Works good! ATB
Yeah I was trying to find a better size stick but I’m going to use linen thread. It has the added benefit of being historically correct which is my end goal anyway.
I wish you a good appetite at Caffa 🖐️🤠🇹🇩☀️
I walk my horse downhill too on long rides. I was wondering what you feed your dogs while camping? Enjoy watching your videos, makes me anxious for my summer horse camping trips. Yee haww!
I make it easy and just pack dry dog food for them. Thanks for watching, I’m really looking forward to horse trips too, I have a few in mind already.
This was really cool man, and I hope to be like the guy at the end, I’ll just keep going in the mountains till I can’t, it is a rush to just go in the mountains and sleep under the stars, I’ve been spoiling myself with my fort lately haha, but there for awhile me and my buddy just took sleeping bags and ya I’d make a bed under a pine tree and pile up dead needles for bedding, it’s always hard to sleep while camping, even in a hammock, I did my overnight and ya it got hot out so I packed up hiked to my bike and went to a stream to take a dip
Yeah you’re doing some cool stuff. I’ve found I change with the seasons, when it’s cold I like a shelter and a fire and when it’s winter I like a cabin. Anytime I don’t need a shelter though I’m on the ground under the stars.
Is it pretty hot at night for you?
@@OverOnTheWildSide no it’s actually pretty cool at night, especially in my shelter since it’s in the edge of a dense pine forest, but in general it’s pretty cool at night around my area, but around 8- 9am you start to feel the heat,
@@OverOnTheWildSide and thanks man
Sounds like here
Hi, just found your channel, luv the scenery and beautiful water. I have a pocket fishing pole, it folds down to 5-6", fits in my hand, and extends to a decent size. I never had luck with my line around a stick and tossing, lol. Enjoyed the trip with your and your dogs, keep em coming, thanx.
Thanks for sharing, there’s some cool stuff out there for sure! It’s kinda restricting having to be 1800’s exclusive or Stone Age haha.
@@OverOnTheWildSide And, thanx for the reply :-) I didn't know you were out and about primitive style...NVM the extending fishing pole...carry on, luv it either way. Good looking horse too :-)
Thank you, I do appreciate those suggestions in the comments though because other viewers may like hearing them.
Again awesome video,as for fishing line try a braided line has little or no memory & comes on a spool, looks like an awesome place to spend time, something about high mountains, cool mornings & fresh coffee taste so much better, need to learn how to play harmonica, then it would be a complete western
I do play harmonica, that would’ve been a nice touch for sure.
Just an old woman, who used to ride in the mid Atlantic. No comparison to your views always dreamed of going west, never made it. Thanks for taking me there!
Thanks for sharing, there’ll be more.
I love your videos man! Came here from the old west Facebook group. Thank you for sharing!
Cool! Thanks for saying so!
Great ride!! Keep em coming. Beau did a terrific job. Had me laughing, those ponies love going home lolol
Thank you, yes they really love getting back to the trailer!
What a beautiful bay.
Thanks I’m pretty proud of him.
Beau ain't a bay he is a buckskin ain't seen his spine to know if he is a true line back buckskin. But he is a buckskin
Thanks for another great video!
good to see cowboys are still living the Broke Back Mountain lifestyle
😂
This is pure living. Thank you.
Great video, thanks 👍
Looked like a great adventure. Thanks for sharing.
Stay dry. VERY smart.👍🏼
Awesome video! Thanks!!
You bet! Thanks for saying so
HA! "Lucifers"! That's kind of neat! Looks like You had FUN! Thanks for sharing with Us!
Lots of fun! Thanks!
Beautiful video! loved it. thanks
Thank you
Wonderful yet again really enjoying these. 🏴👍
Thank you!
I loved this video and you are my inspiration
Thank you, I appreciate hearing that.
Mighty fine video! Keep at it and happy trails!
Thank you, happy trials to you too!
I didn’t realize I’d not put a comment on the video. Man that was a awesome place with some great looking water. Love to go there and fish, Frank seems like a good man and a true ole mountain man hunter and horseman. 💪🏽💯👍🎥
Yeah he’s the kind of guy you hope to meet up in places like that.
The linen line would be better...i used a braided line, and a make shift sling shot to cased my "hobo" real out further.
A sling shot sounds like an excellent idea. I’ve been imagining a long stick that’s forked at the end to cast out further.
I’m definitely going to use linen line next time. It’s also historical so that’s a plus as well.
Happier fishing tastes better...:)
@@allwildgardens4936 absolutely!
Very cool Richard. I am jealous!
Thanks Tim
Its doing good .. good video!!
Thanks Brett!
Put a yearning down in this ole elk hunters heart .. great video .. go back and catch those trout .. lol ..
Onward and Upward is the Watchword.
Yeah I need to get back up there!
This is one of your best, Richard. Thanks so much for sharing it.
Thanks brother, I think I made some real advances in my video making. We’ll see if that’s true after my next one haha!
@@OverOnTheWildSide it was really good. I even made The Girlfriend watch when you were on the horse. "Bo"? "Beau"? Whichever, she loved it. Of course, she's a barrel racer, so...
Haha yes then she appreciates a good horse. I spell it Bo. We just got back from another trip.
@@OverOnTheWildSide really looking forward to it!
That was really nice Richard! I love the part where you roasted the green beans that were given to you while just enjoying that beautiful scenery!
Thanks Peter!
@@OverOnTheWildSide you're very welcome Richard
It would be an interesting video to hear Franks stories
It would, that’s a good point.
YESSS
I encountered a possible Bigfoot while camping at surprise lake, careful out there in the early morning hours and night time!
I’d love to hear more…
What a nice place, Washington or Oregon? I forgot. Good singing 👌
Thanks, Washington
Mantap suasana alamnya
Amazon has arbuckel coffee like 18 bucks for a pound.
Yeah I should get some sometime, I’ve looked it up before.
Shorten up your stirrups, brother. You'll be way more comfy, and balanced when you ride.
If I shorten them my knees are in pain within an hour. At this length I can ride all day. It’s annoying because at a run this length is too long.
Might I ask where I could get pants like yours or know what to look for? They look just like what I’ve been looking for for some time.
I order them from blockaderunner.com or ccssutlery.com for around $65.
Nice vid, what kind of revolver you carrying? I subscribed, appreciate the vids
It’s a repro of the Colt ‘73
man I wanna get one of those funny outfits and come hang out
😂
What region you in there cowboy?
I’m in Eastern Washington
Any idea what elevation is where tour at in this video? I have to say your one lucky fella to be in the area your at
Thanks I think I’m in a great area. Not far from mountains, no humidity and other things.
I’m pretty sure the lake is at 5100’.
@@OverOnTheWildSide my cutoff is 2800 ft elevation. The elevation in Colorado is the reason I had to move. Someday I'll find a spot I can be free again. Appreciate your hard work in making the videos
Ah interesting, my property is at 1600’. I wish there was more open land for riding out in our desert area.
@@OverOnTheWildSide southern Colorado is full of open riding area. Truly miss it out there.
Are there very many water sources?
Have you played Red Dead Redemption 2? I think you would like it as its of course an old west game, definitely my favourite game.
I have very little but it’s an amazing game! It filled my mind years ago when I was riding my horse haha! I’d imagine shooting hawks out of the air and rattlesnakes in the head.
I think I’ve only played the first one but I’ve seen the second one and it’s beyond amazing.
Are using monofilament? If so switch to fluorocarbon as it doesn't have the memory the other does
Ok good to know, I’m pretty sure what I have is really cheap stuff.
@@OverOnTheWildSide I've been a bass tournament fisherman for nearly 40 years so it's safe to say I'm a little familiar with fishing tackle. I can help you in that dept. Any questions just send me a message from farcebook.
@@briansherrillruralliving9708 awesome thanks.
Can you cook a stew like RDR2 stew that cooked by mr Pheason
What goes into it? I have gathered some herbs from around here and put them in a stew.
@@OverOnTheWildSide Cool! When I play RDR2 I use some herb too like Wild mint Creeping thyme and Oregano... and at camp stew pod I see some meat tomato potato red broth source. I wish to see you cook it🥰🥰🥰
Awesome! I was really glad when I saw the game has that kind of thing.
That’s a good idea, I still need to set up my Old West camp, I should do a RDR2 stew video.
where I Come from under skin control has begun we are screwed
Eh?
