I played Battle Royale against 9 highly skilled Geoguessr players. (Part 2, NMPZ)

- Two weeks ago I was invited by members of the Geoguessr community to take part in a game of Battle Royale against some of the best players out there. In part 1 a tense me struggled with the pace and pressure of the games, but in this video I'm hoping that I can claw back some dignity with the no moving, panning or zooming games..

Also for context, due to the bug with Kyrgyzstan, we decided to play an extra "No More, Panning or Zooming" round to make it fair.

In the second to last game was anyone so frustrated at how long he was taking to guess that last round! He was the only one left so no point in waiting till the end

omg the round where tom was in the top 2 and didnt pick slovakia! as soon as i saw he still had 2 guesses but time was ticking down i was just urging him to pick something 😭
I was actually confused, because I am from Slovakia, and I would never guess that because we have lines on our roads :D
@@casper4785 Really? I knew instantly that that's Slovakia. The landscape is unmistakable. It's obviously a tiny road, not all tiny roads have markings on them.
I found this channel because of the straight line challenge through norway, and i found the series so peaceful and fun. But every video he does brings me peace, i don't know what it is, just glad i found this channel!

don't think it's about not knowing how to play the game properly. He is probably just under way too much pressure to even think properly. You could see on multiple occasions throughout the video he was sort of panicking
@@ismailkoya66 yeah that’s fair enough, but every time he plays battle royale he’s literally always shocked when he’s won or if he’s gone out, genuinely think he just doesn’t know the rules sometimes.
we dont care how good you are, a "are we recording? yes we are" is all I need to keep sane.
sometimes life can be stressful and confusing and all you need is to tell yourself "are we recording ? yes we are" and you get a little perspective and all is better.
Weirdly the moving format ended up being the hardest because of how little room for error there was. GG!

How to dramatically improve your game: 1: Take your time on the first round 2: When you are waiting, preselect what you best guess is 3: Leave yourself enough time to use all your guesses when you are the only one left. 4: Always pre-guess with 6 or less players left and have a 2nd guess ready to go. 5: Win.

I bet you can play some mind games with BR mode too. Like for instance, say the round starts and you immediately know what the country is, but rather than locking it in, you instead go pick two wrong guesses in similar looking countries clustered together in a different part of the world. Then you correctly pick your third guess. The other players might waste time and get thrown off thinking you must have been hunting in the spot where you guessed wrong.
6. Look at the photo edges during the countdown for basically free extra time instead of waiting for the countdown to analyze
11:45 YES! This also happened to me a few times, but since I didn't have a footage of it, I was not quite sure if this is an actual bug or I just misclicked... Nice to see this confirmed.
It's probably a lost packet and you can see the guess didn't register at all. Probably should have just retried.

Is not that you can't get out, it is that if everyone guesses right, everyone gets to the next round. But if you don't guess right obvioulsy you get out

As a complete geoguesser noob, it's always satisfying when I can out guess Tom. The only round I was able to do it was that Kenya round cause I saw driving on the left

@@jacobwatson8688 90% of rounds dont have car meta. car meta only works for exclusive countries. peter memorises bollards and other things which should not be considered meta as they are actually there in real life.

You should do a team-up with the 9 others to see how high a country streak you could get together
Just so you know, in OBS you can set it to record multiple audio sources separately, so even if you don't use all of them in editing (for example desktop sound), you should always be recording all of them

To use an analogy I think when it comes to Geoguesser you are a long-distance runner, rather than a sprinter. So the more information that there is available to make the guess, the more it is about the speed in finding that information, rather than the person having the knowledge. Whereas the less information there is, the more it is about strategy and actually having the key knowledge needed to make the intelligent guesses and so it is less about outright speed.

Hey Tom I was a competitive Fighting Game player and made it as a world finalist multiple times even one time placing highest non American
What’s that go to anything ya prob thinking haha
But just telling you that because I can relate, first time I went from beating nearly every one who plays to then straight into with the top talent I was destroyed over and over, doing same thing you where doing and panicking under pressure
That reduces with time, you will never fully lose that intense adrenaline but that’s the best part in anyway
Keep playing with this level and watch your skill shoot up drastically

I live in America. These videos are insane. EVERY new game and I'm like 'that's Montana', 'That's New York'. Then, it's freaking Russia or Belarus or something... Most of these countries look like my backyard! I don't know how you just pick Czech when it looks just like Florida or Hawaii.
