Impossible Amarnath yatra....
Amarnath Temple is a Hindu shrine located in Jammu and Kashmir, India. The cave is situated at an altitude of 3,888 m (12,756 ft),about 141 km from Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, reached through Pahalgam town. The shrine represents an important part of Hinduism,and is considered to be one of the holiest shrines in Hinduism. The cave is surrounded by snowy mountains. The cave itself is covered with snow most of the year, except for a short period of time in summer when it is open to pilgrims. Hundreds of thousands of Hindus and other devotees make an annual pilgrimage to the Amarnath cave across challenging mountainous terrain.The Amarnath Cave Temple is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas, temples throughout South Asia that commemorate the location of fallen body parts of the Hindu deity Sati. Amarnath cave is one of the main religious places of Lord Shiva. Every year thousand of devotees from all around the world come to visit Lord Shiva here. The Shivalinga made of ice in the cave is about 10-12 feet high and is the symbol of people’s faith and trust. At Amarnath Yatra that is while reaching the temple which is located high in the snow capped mountains devotees faces extremely difficult rough weather and terrain and shows their undying devotion for Lord Shiva.
There are two Amarnath Yatra routes that pilgrims can take to travel Amarnath Cave and both these routes are well connected from all the major cities for easy connectivity. To start from Srinagar or Pahalgam, one will have to trek to a height of more than 14,000 feet. Hence, being physically fit and mentally prepared for the journey is a must.
Yatra from Baltal to Amarnath Cave:
It is the most popular and shortest route to reach the cave. The region of Baltal is 14 km from the Cave and allows people to only walk. Ponies are not allowed. However, one can be carried on 'Dandies'. The trek via Baltal usually takes 1-2 days to complete. This route is advised to be taken by the people who are young, healthy and looking for some adventure amidst the religious trip.
The people who desire to visit Amarnath cave by The Yatra trek kicks off from the mountains of south Kashmir Himalayas and ends at the Holy Cave Shrine of Shri Amarnathji, and is made available only during the months of July and August. ... I still remember my very first amarnath yatra in 1999 with my friend. Till date I hv done 11 times. I must say I hv travel alot all over the world but amarnath is a most beautiful place. Best place for top notch adventure. Love from London fakire .

I had the darshan of Amarnathji on Sraboni full moon day in 1989. But it took us 5 days to cover the tour via Chandanwari, Seshnag, Panchtarni g finally the Holy Cave. The entire journey is still so vivid in my mind!!!! Jai Baba Amarnath Ji 🙏🙏🙏

I visited Amarnath Yatra in 1984 with my family of 8 ! Left Srinagar at 7 AM and returned back after Darshan by 7 PM the same day ! Went thru Sonmarg route !
Mai mere father k saath 2011 ya 2012 main gya tha...
Aur esi baal taal k raste paidal chadhai ki thi hmne.. 1:30 afternoon yatra shuru ki thi aur approx 9:30 night main gufa k pas ek camp main ruk gay the.. aur next day morning 9 baje k aas-pas darshn kiye the..
Such btau to meri aankho main to aansu aa gaye the Mahadev k darshn k baad..
Itni mehnat kr k hm log uper aaye aur baba k achhe darshn ho gaye..
Wapsi main hm ghode se wapas esi raste se gaye the..
Mere hisaab se ye sbse kathin yatra hai mahadev ki..

I never believed in anything mystical, I was just 10 years old when I went to Amarnath. As soon as I saw the majestic Sheshnag lake, I understood the very reality of life. My whole family we were all separated kilometers away as some were on horsebacks, some walked. That's when I realised that you are an alone, individual experience and the companionship of everyone else is temporary. I wouldn’t have become what I am today if I didn’t get to experience 5 days of hardcore trekking to go to Amarnath. Om Namah Shivay.

You are extremely lucky... no vloger reached the steps where you are sitting and taking the pictures, it is too much crowded during yatra, rocks are covered with 10-20 feet snow during Yatra and no one is allowed throughout the year except army. You are blessed with Bhole baba. I am sure no one will able to take such videos in near future. The movement during yatra is very slow. We started the journey 4.00am in the morning and reached our tent (place where yellow cable is kept) at evening 7.00pm. our stamina and camera battery were fully dry. This is almost with everyone. Appreciate the Capton who took the risk and took you along.

I had done this holy yatra in 2019 via pahalgaam route. That route is longer(27 kms) and the track from Chandanwadi to Pissutop is beyond your emagination, extremely vertical climb of 980 mtr. There Sheshnag lake is most beautiful place to camp. The highest point of this whole yatra also comes at 15200 ft. on that route just before Panchtarni. You must go thru that route also... Jai baba Amarnath.

In August 1988 the road near the cave was totally covered by a glacier which was very old. That was my first journey towards Amarnath cave. I was alone & trekking from BALTAL bus stand at about 3pm. At about 7.30pm I was near the cave. The sunlight was enough. All on a sudden
I saw a snow leopard watching me just half km away on that snow covered glacier. I scared & quickly get back 200 meters where there was a stone cave
where sadhu & beggers was staying. I was given a cup of tea & two
Blankets for spending night. Next morning I went into the cave which was empty only two soldiers are there.
I spent 15 to 20 minutes
& saw the 10 feet lingam. I have to keep my bare foot on ice because the wooden sleeper was there not comfortable. With full energy I get down at Baltal bus stand at about 11.30am.
Sorry to say the total natural beauty has lost.
