- I have an exciting new pine needle basket planned with new new stitches and combining multiple colored needles. With this one I have decided not to use a center as focal point because the stitch work and the colors will be the main focus of this basket. So here is a tutorial on how to start a basket without a center.

I don’t think you’ve done a video showing how to start a basket without a center before. This is especially good for beginners like me, who probably won’t start with a center (even though it would be easier).
You are right I have not done a video on starting a basket without a center because this is only the second basket that I have ever done without a center. My preference is to start with a center. But I wanted to do something different with this basket.

Such a beautiful basket!! Please tell me what kind of thread you used for this one, and where I can get this same exact thread?
I am using artificial sinew. I found an online source through Amazon that was a Chinese dealer. They had such a broad range of different colors.
@@DebraCarmona can you show me exactly where to get it or provide a link? I'm having a hard time finding any thread that is wider than 1 mm and I notice the one you are using is flat and a bit wider. I have just ordered two different waxed threads and they are too narrow, as usual.
@@Miami7 I searched but cannot find the same link any more. There are many sellers of artificial sinew (not thread) on Amazon. Thread is round, sinew is flat.
