Great tips! I just need for you to demonstrate again. On the picture we need hung. In our entry way. LoL
Great video! I like to use blue painters tape to make a template. I stretch the tape across the back of the wall hanging and make my d ring marks with a sharpie. Then I peel off the tape and affix to the wall using a long level, I hammer my nails or screw in my mollies right into the painters tape before peeling it off and voila, a level perfect hang! This method works wonderfully for super heavy pieces or mirrors and shelving as well.👍😉

I really like this method The only problem I have is leveling the tape on the wall I wish someone would show how to do this it's really hard to move the sticky tape and make it level all the way across
@@barbra429 I have a long level that measures 48 inches. I place my artwork on the floor, then stretch painter's tape (sticky side up) across the back and mark my tape with black permanent marker. Holding onto the edges of the tape, I raise the level up to the wall. As soon as bubbles line up, I push the level to the wall to affix tape. Then hammer in the first nail, or molly and screw. At that point you can either apply the second nail molly and screw, or use the level to double check for accuracy and make you new mark. I find holding level below the first nail or screw mark to be the most accurate. I hope this helps🙏❤
I'm following along with everything you said except the part about affixing the tape to the wall with the level I'm not getting that part.

Just for further reference, the D-rings are for stretching a wire across in order to have a single anchor point.
Nonsense. You can hang single hangers from those no problem. It would be more secure, that's why they put them there.
I am a professional picture hanger and always avoid wire if possible. If I have to have on wire it's ALWAYS 2 hangers on the wall!

Ooooo please do one with plaster walls! I'm pretty sure I have plaster texture walls. We had trouble installing our security system because the walls were so hard. So some help decorating that beast would be soooo helpful! Hope you're doing great, you're the best!

Most homes come with textured walls where you are? I've never heard of that. Clearly I'm not spending any time in new homes! Untextured walls painted in builder's beige are common where I am. I love the grove in your hammer for starting nails - I want one. 😀

🍏🍏- - What about hanging big & heavy pictures onto/into brick walls? No one covers big 'heavy' pictures with glass, on a brick wall, show how this is done. Thanks
You can add wire between the D rings very easily for a midpoint hanging.

@@DesignTime and then use 2 hooks (nails are not trust worthy) as level as your eye can guesstimate. Simply slide the artwork back and forth until level. Two hooks eliminate the tilt that one hook will always have.

I use them a ton and they work well. Problem with the painting I want to hang now is 40" x 60". Too big and heavy for command strips
