Verlander is one of the goats of this generation/the last generation, he's done basically everything there is to do in the sport
oh man, just to give you an idea of how dominant J.V. was, 2012, and the previous season, anytime justin took the mound, you were wondering if he could get a no hitter. the previous season, 2011 he won the very rare feat of a pitcher winning the american league mvp award. at one point he won 12 consecutive games following a tigers loss, ending team losing streaks. here in detroit it wasn't must see TV, it was must see JV.
JV, Aroldis Chapman and Craig Kimbrels 2012 seasons were some of the most dominant pitching I’ve ever seen
Not even a lie, whether on tv or in person, you always wondered if he'd do it yet again. It wasn't nothing for him to get to the 5th or 6th having not been touched a single time.
He IS that dude. I'll put it to you this way, when he was in Detroit, and it was his turn to pitch, you knew the other pitchers were gonna be having an easy day. The relief pitchers could beat up hotdogs and it'd be alright. They weren't gonna be working today, JV had it on lock. They call it, "Must See JV TV"

It should be against the law to be able to throw a ball that fast , far and accurate all at once.
