When I was first learning ASL (American Sign Language), I apparently accidentally informed a guy I had just met "it's nice to sleep with you". Got to love unintentional puns :D
This is awesome! Glad to see AUSLAN and BSL are just as weird with their country signs. In American/Canadian Sign Language the sign for Ireland is 'potato, potato' and the sign for Australia is a kangaroo hopping. I heart Adam Hills so much! Thanks for sharing!
LOVE this. Ugh, Adam Hills is fab. Saw his Inflatable show in Edinburgh over the summer, he's got the best stage presence of any comic I've seen, completely comfortable with the audience and obviously having loads of fun :)
Ok, if I ever become an air hostess, I'm SO using that in my safety demonstrations ( as a tribute to the great Adam Hills, and because it's just so hilarious) xD
@Themilldude what? Im actually generally amazed at the quality of this video. I see other videos on youtube which were recorded with most likely a broken down mobile phone from the 20s. Videos like this...it truly makes me love the HD things in the world
and yet..... some of the best thing in life just are..... simple..... thanks for the reminder. i am a simple girl :-) just simply remember one of russell's stand ups and then simply write a simple and harmless comment. had not wanted it to seem judgmental or biased in any way. you had understood my comment the way you wanted to. maybe if youtube were to let us record our voices, u wouldn't even be wasting time on writing me a reply, thanks 4 your mail it's the best i'd received so far. Namaste
Actually the flicking sign for the Irish is more insulting than that. I learned sign language here in Glasgow and my deaf tutor told me that, at the time of the potato blight when the Irish migrated, they were very poor and dirty and brought fleas with them, and that flicking sign is 'The flicking of fleas from the body'... I have Irish ancestors from that period myself, and I'm not joking... The England sign actually means the English Flag... (Red Cross)...
I do not care about the 'video' quality. As long as it is watchable it is fine. This guy is one of the most funny men in the building yet he seems more as an entertainer than a strictly stand-up comic.
@littlebuffolow Australia used to be a colony where the British would basically just dump their 'scum', being murderers and other big criminals. It was basically a big outdoors prison.
My lot get sent down here for much less murder...vandalising some farming equipment to protest against British land grabs in Ireland and stealing some hay to burn to keep warm in winter...7 years and life...not all the crimes were big ones.
people... stop with the punchline comments... or ill just pause the video and read your crap. Seriously this man is a genius... those are my favourite parts too... but of the video... not the comments reel...just stop
@bridthescrewup I'm English and it seems rather historically accurate (though admittedly I can see the Shamrock thing too). I died laughing at the England/Lesbian mix-up. XD
Does anyone know where the jokes about two blind people with white sticks walking into each other and having a toilet related code between guide dog and owner, are from? I think they're both Adam's...
I've seen this multiple times, and I think it is brilliant! At the same time, I kind of think that deaf people simply don't have the political correctness that the rest of us have to deal with. Politics hasn't invaded sign language yet. May they stay safe! Deaf people are honest without political or do-gooder filters and they are surviving fine! In sign language, to spell someone's name takes time, or you could simply describe them. My deaf name is Fringe (comb fingers over the top of the face)
I don't get the signs he wanted to represent Australia with. I think the first one was meant to be a beer can or something, but I don't get the second one at all. None of my friends do either.
got to say... there is some far more offensive sign language! BSL for Germany, Japan, China, Asia = all more offensive than the Ireland or Australia signs mentioned here.
Accusing a comic of stealing jokes is actually a huge insult, it's not as harmless as you may think. You did come off as being judgemental. Finally, I didn't really understand the relevance of the second half your comment. In any case, have a nice day.
Russell Peters' joke is nowhere near as in depth, is completely different, and is about a third the length. The only thing they have in common is the fact that they are jokes about sign language, and the fact that you say "this joke" like it's the same joke leads me to believe that you are a simpleton.

one of the funniest people on the planet, and the nicest from what i hear
I've seen several versions of this routine but I think this is my favourite - and who wouldn't want to be that microphone? ;-)
"Oh dear lord. There seems to be Irish people on me." Epic lolz
You wish
watched this about a million times and still find it funny :D
"Oh dear lord, there seem to be Irish people on me". Hahah, this entire show was fantastic.
Ok, if I ever become an air hostess, I'm SO using that in my safety demonstrations ( as a tribute to the great Adam Hills, and because it's just so hilarious) xD
What a freaking legend! Long live Adam Hills!
His accents are so good lol this man is amazing at both comedy and accents lol XD
he is great! I love him!!! Fantastic personality!!
What an absolutely stunishing performance! Absolutely brilliant! xD
Hulerious Adam I could not stop laughing. I love learning sign language now since I watch this video.
I love how quiet he is without the microphone
"england, lesbian. england, lesbian"...
i watched a whole hour and a half of this just to see adam hills at the end. awesome work. (:
my new favourite comedian
Love this bloke!
I LOVE YOU ADAM !
I can't stop laughing 😂
I think I'm gonna piss myself. Well, not really, but DAMN. The ending was just genius
@Themilldude

BRILLIANT FUCKING QUALITY.... AMAZING
AHAH! Love you Adam Hills

AUGHGH I NEED A MICROPHONE
he did this exact act at the edinbrough comedy festival!
Love Adam and his deaf ppl jokes :P
and yet..... some of the best thing in life just are..... simple..... thanks for the reminder. i am a simple girl :-) just simply remember one of russell's stand ups and then simply write a simple and harmless comment.

Very talented .
cracking open a cold one
I referenced this video for an assignment. Don't ask me how, the logic just wins.
I am hoping you scored a high mark with that video.
what does that thing at 2:47 express that is austrailian?
that's right! i'm not afraid to say it out loud *swallow*
pure. win.
I do not care about the 'video' quality. As long as it is watchable it is fine. This guy is one of the most funny men in the building yet he seems more as an entertainer than a strictly stand-up comic.
OMG so hilarious.
Could ya say what he is about with that sing he made up at 2:54 ?
go hills you r awsome like what he told fifi on the radio to say
I PISSED MYSELF LAUGHING AHAHAHAH
@littlebuffolow Australia used to be a colony where the British would basically just dump their 'scum', being murderers and other big criminals. It was basically a big outdoors prison.

Yeah and?
AHAHAHA the cricket part :P
"In case of emergency, fuck you, fuck the lot of you!!" Adam Hill's a legend!!
Oh dear lord there seem to be Irish people on me...
+omnitrixian The second sign that Adam uses to represent "Australia" is a cricketer bowling.
@dantheman6300 are u english?
@Gardow Not that one. The one where he`s messing with the microphone and then walks away angry.
could someone tell me what he is saying at 0:48?
English is not my mother tongue so I can't understand it
Essentially 'd'you want a drink?'
Glaswgegian man in a pub, or a man from Glasgow,
Heard?
oh good lord there are irish on me
theres an add for bibles next to the video? why?
OK, 5 minutes, felt like 5 seconds...fuuny guy!
@dantheman6300 awesome!
@jevligtsmutsigdocka yes I did!!!
he is fucking funny
I AM CRYING HELP
@Smellness13 You should see 'Characterful' and 'Joymonger' if you haven't already. Adam likens his Scottish accent to 'Shrek shagging Billy Connolly.'
people... stop with the punchline comments... or ill just pause the video and read your crap. Seriously this man is a genius... those are my favourite parts too... but of the video... not the comments reel...just stop
@bridthescrewup I'm English and it seems rather historically accurate (though admittedly I can see the Shamrock thing too). I died laughing at the England/Lesbian mix-up. XD
His northen english and his swedish accents are the funniest, its a shame he didnt do them... :(
At 1:04 in american sign, as he pointed out it means lesbian. To the Japanese it means "like".
Like English lesbians.
@sindude300 haha i have probably watched it 3 million times now :D
Does anyone know where the jokes about two blind people with white
sticks walking into each other and having a toilet related code between
guide dog and owner, are from? I think they're both Adam's...
@osoimaru666 Oooooooh... That makes sense.
@sg1padawan well it is the punch line so it damn well should be XD
@mrSkulldude100 1 million times ummmmm isn't that around 3 million minutes?
tough crowd, like they can do better, his a comedian and his Australian. EPIC

@brewof72 true
dutch people would probably laugh because they are so polite
did anybody else notice that it says LSD at 0:11
There's a sign language signal for "Adolph Hitler" It contains what you'd expect.
I guess he flew Qantas. :)
@PippinRally we may be english but this was funny as hell
I don't get the signs he wanted to represent Australia with. I think the first one was meant to be a beer can or something, but I don't get the second one at all. None of my friends do either.
omnitrixian it's bowling a cricket ball
Its throwing a boomerang
He looks so much older here.
You wouldn't belive how old he looks now, Jayden from the past
@MasterMaxD Hahaha
+omnitrixian Cricket, I think.
got to say... there is some far more offensive sign language! BSL for Germany, Japan, China, Asia = all more offensive than the Ireland or Australia signs mentioned here.
@mrSkulldude100 Haha, i've watched it over 1billion times :P
hahaa its funny coz i know sign language ^.^
sounds like russell peters joke
@mrSkulldude100 c'mon you probably watched it like 2million times.. stop lying lol
@oldane1 Dayum do you live in a radioactive office? where mutant "files" crawl up walls?
@Zougeiro Well, American isn't a language, so...
... well I laughed...
aussie are the best
Could use subtitles, so deaf people know what he's talking about..........
russell peters did this joke way before him......
i hope theres no blind people on the plane, they will be pretty pissed off :P
Accusing a comic of stealing jokes is actually a huge insult, it's not as harmless as you may think. You did come off as being judgemental. Finally, I didn't really understand the relevance of the second half your comment. In any case, have a nice day.
Russell Peters did a funnier version in his special Red, White and Brown, but it way more offensive.
Although this is hilarious too
@datum711 Because it's not American.
his "deaf people are racist" joke is similar to russell peters. funny anyway i guess :)
American Sign Language for Australia is better....Kangaroo movement with your Thumb and Pinky
wholey crap, LMAO
9 people don t speak english
@robotsandownage1 Then you should not be here mate.
he repeats this joke which is annoying but its still hilarious :)
Russell Peters' joke is nowhere near as in depth, is completely different, and is about a third the length.
