I find it difficult to judge how Ousmane Dembele has been performing for PSG this season. The only positive I can take from his time at PSG so far is the fact that he’s actually been healthy for most parts of the season which is surprising to say the least. The reason I say that is because at Barcelona, he was a laughingstock for his injuries and as a result of it, he missed 790 days of football and now at PSG he’s not injured. It’s great that he’s finally enjoying an “injury free season”, but I think for a player of his quality you expect more from him. I don’t think he’s a flop, 1 goal and 11 assists those aren’t bad numbers, the thing with how he plays, when it comes to dribbling and creating chances he’s very good at doing that which is why Luis Enrique always plays him even when he’s not in form because he knows what he’s capable of and this is what causes problems for defenders, but it’s just what he does in the final third which is very frustrating. His final pass decision making, he needs to improve on that and as an attacker who’s been fit all season, he has just 1 goal for PSG and he’s a guy that can shoot with both feet, finishing shouldn’t be an issue for him surely. I still don’t think that he’s replicated the form he showed at Borussia Dortmund before his big move to Barcelona even though he’s been decent at PSG. A lot of people will disagree with me on this, but at PSG he’s getting on the right track in a sense that he’s been able to stay healthy which bodes well for him considering the injuries he was picking up over the years and with Dembele talent has never been an issue, we just want to see consistency out of his performances that’s all.
Yes him being FIT is probably the biggest surprise for his time at PSG. But as u could have seen by the stats he has the most Shot Creating Actions & Goal Creating actions in Europe's Top 5 Legaues which basically means he has been the best PlayMaker in Europe. Cristiano ronaldo was the closest player that i saw that look as comfortable on the left as he is on the right in world football, but we all kinda know that ronaldo is still better on the left when hes cutting in to his right, even though hes awesome on the right also scoring with his left, but dembele does not break his stride any at all on either flanks because hes naturally good with both feet, he is very 2 footed hes the most 2footed player in the world, has no weak spots doesnt have to break stride to try use his more dominant foot no he is comfortable casually on both flanks, on top of that both his feats are up there in best of the world rn in terms of skill, crossing passing, but he can be an awesome goalscorer as well when he find those boots, i think if he continues this way hes gonna be one of the greatest french footballers ever and probably win a ballon d'or also
