I’ve bought from Amazon and have never had an issue with them. I did like how your set had the colors listed, i like the little jars over envelopes i got.
If they're cost effective or less expensive, might be good for beginners to learn on and experiment with. I sort of got a motor oil vibe from the ones with the blues in them. I liked the pb & j looking ones as well. Great, honest review. Thanks for putting it together. See you next time. Eric
Definitely some potential, especially if you can get them discounted as a kit (which is how I snagged em months ago). I too thought of MO - a couple had a little “amber” tint going on reminiscent of that changeable. Thx for the feedback my friend!
Those colors by themselves, like you said, just don't stand out on their own. But you are a color combo mad scientist that creates beautiful and great fish catching soft plastics. So I'm sure you will find a perfect time to use them. You and your family have wonderful and blessed Christmas with a joyful new year. Be blessed. My friend.
Great video very informative. I was thinking of using them without the black for trans belly colors on open pour swimbaits. Like a dop snowshine in different shades.
That could certainly work, just pull back on the powder too. Keep in mind, the less saturated the mix the less you’ll see the shiftiness, but if you’re after a general tone, absolutely!
I feel like some of those that are more of the violet/purple side would be good on like a violet grape or something kinda like that just something to tinker on to add a touch more pop to some other colors
GREAT Video, one thing i like is your least favorite one, and my favorite was the last one the blue. i think those two would make an amazing dual color blue on top and your least favorite on the bottom. again great video.
I bet they would, indeed, look good together! After the video I added some black flake to the blue and it was fantastic. New favorite! Thx for watching!
You are not alone! I was thinking through what I wanted to do with all the remelt and was thinking black/blue for the last one... although!... a nice brown with it may be even better, good call!
Great video! I just don't know enough about mixing colors to give you any helpful input. All I can attest to is that you do an amazing job and come up with some amazing looking baits. Keep up the great work my friend! Merry Christmas!
No color shift is meant to stand on its own. Atleast form my experience, mostly with epoxy work and some strange but fortuitous results in applications it’s definitely not meant for. I’m certain you will make this baby’s shine within you creative color schemes. Chameleons especially work well with a light to medium dose of a BG ( “background”) color, probably a “transparent” pigment within the color shifts or opposites on the the old wheel.
yes, I would buy it and just create my own colors as you did. That last one looked pink or watermelonly 😂 I liked. Really digged the gold too! I couldn't really choose just one as my favorite. Good stuff! 👏👏
There's potential here, most likely as an add-on to other base colors - see if they can help something, a little more boring, come to life! Glad you enjoyed it!
I have a few Amazon colorshift powders from a different brand and get very similar results. They seem to be hit or miss on some of their colors lol. Still fun to use though. Thanks for sharing Adam
Yup, that definitely seems to be the case. Looking forward to adding them to other bases - see if they can add a little sizzle to otherwise boring colors. Thanks for watching man!
I’m not sure it’s enough to warrant a whole video, especially since it’s just a plastic tub with some UV lights in it! Rather ghetto actually, LOL. Did you have any specific questions I could address?
Are you getting any “squeeze out” around the eyes before curing? That would help as it puts a resin ring around the eye. Also, be sure you’re curing them long enough with a light rated between 365-405nm. Get those lights as close to the bait as possible… the UV power drops as it “extends” so thin boxes are best.
If it was up to me, I would take them to the lake to see what the best answer is. Let the fish tell you you might be surprised sometimes the things that looks good to us may be just the opposite to the fish let's be honest there are a lot of fishing items designed to catch the fishermen than the fish
Hmmm... maybe on a few, but most were pretty darn saturated already (especially the gold base options). My guess is, adding them to other bases, pulling out a specific feature in the color, is where these will shine (i.e. a Lureworks rootbeer pigment base, little purple flake, then spike it with the one stand-out color - I bet that would be KILLER!).
I'm still cutting up everything with scissors believe it of not. I know some guys use a grinder but I just don't have the volume of remelt to go to that length... plus, man, it seems like that would be a MESS, not to mention the "cross contamination" from the leftover previous color way down in the grinder. If you come across a better option - let me know!
@@SDGCustomLurecraft ive started using an old blender i pre cut to smallee hunks blend a bit and it seems to be melting down ok cleaning the blender out isnt to bad to avoid contamination but sounds violent may burn up the blender time will tell
Indeed a bit underwhelming, but maybe some potential if/when added to other bases... even if they still are "shifty" I bet they could help to level up a base color!
@@SDGCustomLurecraft I found my mistake, you have to select the 8 color set and not just one color. Selecting the 8 color set gets you all 8 for $22.49. I almost insta-pooped when I saw $15.99 for one little jar. lol

Yeah, the jars are nice. For some reason they only sell them individually now while I did get a set a while back (quite a bit cheaper than too!).

Happy holidays to you and your family, Adam. Thank you for all the great videos and inspiration this past year.
My pleasure Guy! Thanks for coming along for the journey!
Being the mad scientist you are Adam haha. I thought you would mix the whole bunch together
I still have all the remelt! LOL

100% agree. I think these have potential, but will really shine best when added to other bases. Good call man!
Amazing video and awesome job showcasing the potential of the mold with all the thick and thin areas perfect choice

Cool comparison and I too thought root beer.
Rootbeer all the way! It helps its one of my favorite lighter tones too. That one was a keeper for sure!

You should take the first gold and green gold and least favorite to combined all three I think would work for something that would be interesting.....
Definitely some mixing potential, yup!
On camera there all great 🤙🤙
They all had some merit, and I like the "combined" version afterwards too!
Could you do a video on your UV resin curing setup?
I’m not sure it’s enough to warrant a whole video, especially since it’s just a plastic tub with some UV lights in it! Rather ghetto actually, LOL. Did you have any specific questions I could address?
@@SDGCustomLurecraft I have been having trouble keeping 3d eyes on my freestyle jigs for crappie. They hold up to a couple bites then fall off

Put them in water under sunlight or light in general and see if that doesn’t make a difference
Good idea - I almost added some test tank footage to do just that. Perhaps on the next one!
There different maybe use with duel injections 👍
Most definitely would improve with a dual. Its hard to beat a monkey milk belly with just about ANY of those options!
Awesome vid brother... let me know how much for some... I would like to try them out... let me know brother...

the third looked almost like motor oil. all the rest were junk with no color shifting worth note.
I too saw a little MO vibe in a few, but your guess beforehand was largely accurate! Some shift, but not the whamo effect you hope for!

I see that’s the price now… guess I was fortunate - I bought them a while ago as a 8-piece set, quite a bit cheaper.
