Great video, again. I'm 54 years old, started hunting with my dad at about age 7 or so, and I've hunted deer in exactly ONE state: Mississippi. I passionately love deer hunting, and I really like watching the experiences of other people around the country. However....for some reason I have absolutely no desire to hunt anywhere else. I have no idea why. I've got many hunting buddies that travel to Texas, Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri, and even Iowa. And they bring home impressive deer time and time again. Their walls look WAAAY more impressive than mine. But for whatever reason I'm 100% content to still hunt public land in MS year after year. I'm actually grateful for this state of affairs because I'm OCD about many things, and if I did catch the bug to travel I'd probably ruin my bank account and my marriage! LOL. And I live vicariously through people like you! Keep up the good work!
Mississippi has great deer hunting too. It’s tough in the south but there’s plenty of great places to go around the state.
That's my problem with self filming ,I'm not going to pass up a good Buck just to get him on film! Sorry CZcams!

I have killed a good buck with him walking with the wind. My biggest buck to date. I know it don’t always happen but they don’t always get up and walk when the wind is in their favor.
One would know when you cape him out. You would see the hole from Sunday night. Problem not the same deer. Keep on filming love your output on these hunts.

I watch and follow a lot of public land guys the infalts, Hunting public, etc. You are right up there IMO with those guys, maybe more impressive since your doing it by yourself. Great job

I can’t tell you enough how much I like your videos you keep it real and it’s ok if you don’t always get the shot on video, I’m from ga and have hunted public in west central Illinois last 12 years took two rite at 150 one in lower 140s and two 130s few 125s

I’ve Hunted Iowa 2x and gonna do it again as soon as I can. First trip was the best hunting I have ever been a part of saw close to 50 Bucks in a week snd most of them were wall hangers. Shot one that I was not able to recover and they didn’t allow tracking dogs back then. Went back this yr and it was much tougher due to the weather managed to get a big 8 pt that had part of his left side broken. EVERYONE should hunt Iowa at least once!
My grandpa and dad grew up in Iowa. Only reason I would hunt there is a crack at a 200 inch plus deer. Pope and young deer running around in very state but Iowa is where you'll find a booner in every section
I have tried the self filming and I will say that it takes a special passion, you do a great job, true hunters are hard to find on tv now days. Keep it going!

Love hearing another hunter talk about a wind that favors the buck! Something thats helped me the past few years get on a mature bucks. Also 2022 ill start putting in my iowa and hopefully get to hunt there some day!
That's one of my main goals with this CZcams Channel is to encourage guys just like you to get out and do these hunts and enjoy it as much as I have over the years. And hopefully one day you will be able to pass it on to your son or next generation- this love of hunting.

I do believe that is the buck you made the bad shot on same broke tine on left side and the picture you got later had a kicker on left g2 and no broke tine I do think u got the buck u first shot at. Congrats on the public land stud

I would love to hunt Iowa.! I’ve hunted northern Missouri, most of my life but a Iowa tag is just different (: definitely. And I’m hoping my CZcams gives me the opportunity to go places to hunt and to build the hunting community for the better into build people as good men and women .!

Great video, Congrats on a beauty!! I think it's the same deer, also on the first shot it almost looked like maybe the arrow went off the top of his back and not thru him but over. Keep posting your videos love your channel.

So…I bought a house in Iowa can’t wait for this fall
I’ve applied for the Iowa tags twice now, gonna apply until I get them. I hunt Illinois each year and have taken some good deer from there. I enjoy your videos, down to earth. I want forget your comment about your health will run out before your wealth will! Like to see you show your scout, why you pick the spot and why you pick the particular tree to set up in.
There is a lot to be said for picking the spot in the spot. That's tough sometimes deciding the exact tree. Now sometimes it's a no brainer. Other times that can be a major mistake vs a chance at a deer. Like to see more about that. Where I hunt I don't have trouble with tree availability. But I really struggle with picking the right spot to set up in. Even on the ground if I need to. Thanks

Same deer, different deer, it is what it is, and, at the end of the day that's alotta meat in the freezer and a great trophy. Sooo the question is actually for you, do you really care, does it even matter? I mean regardless you were truly blessed. I hunt in Florida and i got an 8 point that was 185 pounds, 20 inch inside spread and scored 128 7/8 inches. He's my personal best by bow. Not a ton of people can say they've accomplished that in Florida. My many years of scouting, patience, practice, and passing on nice 2 and 3 year olds is what made my personal best possible. He was aged at 4 1/2. Long story short you killed a great buck man. Keep doin what you do, and stay safe out there. Good luck on your future endeavors in the hunting woods. And, a quote on quote "trophy" is actually in the eye of the beholder for every hunter out there is different, just remember that it's not alwayyys about the headgear. It's more so about enjoying what we do and being true sportsmen while afield. Be that example, take a kid or friend hunting and introduce them to this wonderful sport we as hunters call bow hunting. All this talk about hunting is making me hungry, think I'm fixen to make an egg omelet with some deer sausage, ✌ out and microphone drop.😂

I haven't hunted Iowa, yet. I will have 3 points this year, but will probably wait until 2022. Living and having great land in WI makes the wait a little easier.

Y’all need to hunt Panther Swamp. It’s the best public land in Mississippi for really big bucks
I have heard a lot about it, but never hunted it.
I hunted Iowa for the first time in 2009 for 12 days shot a doe and then a double split G-2 12 point ,but my arrow was a little to far forward and stuck dead middle in the shoulder. No blood, looked all day no sign of the buck. Four days later I saw the Buck out in a cut corn field feeding on the corn, and he was ok beside having a little limp as he walked on the front right side that the arrow hit his shoulder. Then, in 2014 I moved to Iowa so I could hunt the entire season for big deer and also hunt the late season. I have taken 6 Bucks and I am getting ready to hunt the late season this Monday the 21 of Dec. I moved from Georgia and my best Iowa Buck is a 181 5/8th. Once I hunted Iowa, I knew I had to move there!!
It happen that way sometimes.
Just to mention in case someone didn't notice it with the 3 does going thru with Coyotes in background. The rear doe had her tail raised the whole way walking thru. Usually for the purpose of deer following behind them to see where they are at and what trail they're using. We are spoiled here in Iowa but still aren't behind every tree in the woods. CONGRATULATIONS!!

I have not hunted Iowa. Makes me want to give her a shot at the title. I am from Tennessee and we are starting to get done good ones growing since they lowered the buck limits here. Still we can kill 3 does per day but only 2 bucks for the year. Love the videos bud keep em rolling

Same deer Iowa is a great deer mecca but only so many biggins on public land. I could be wrong tho and that's what keeps you going back.

I’ve never hunted Iowa but me and a buddy is planning to hunt there in 2022. I purchased a preference point this year and plan to purchase one next year and then put in for the draw in 2022. I want to hunt Iowa but I’m not ready yet. Still learning how to hunt and scout. Just sealed the deal this year after starting in 2018. Saw deer a lot but was always set up out of bow range lol or on the wrong places.
The more experience you get the better you learn to set up in the right place.
